- 496 ci Big Block Chev Vintage Circuit race boat engine on the engine dyno .
746 hp @6500 rpm and 682 ftlb . 2 bolt gm mark 4 block with Howards 4 bolt caps, Scat forged crank, Scat H beam rods , Racetech pistons , 268 @ .050 solid roller , ported DRP rec port heads(same casting as AFR enforcers) . Edelbrock tunnel ram , twin 1050 dominators.

I have a very similar combination that I’ve been running for 19 years I’m putting 2 dominators on it. Could you give me more information on compression and your carb set up?
Comp is around 10.50 to 1 , carbies are 1050 dominators

@@cushmanphillips-oz3jx this is all set up in my boat now and running, im having a little trouble getting it to not fuel up and run rich in the turns, i got a bit of sorting out to do

@@cushmanphillips-oz3jx fuel coming out the vents is one theory, i was planning on using some fuel line to link the vents with a notch cut out at the top and see if that helps
Hydraulic roller cam?
Solid roller , 268 @ .050 and .780 lift with a 1.8 rocker, ive never had much luck with hydraulic rollers large enough to make decent power in big block boat engines , they just wont rpm . Small block car engines seem to work ok with a hydraulic roller

Haha , its for my Everingham lee, but i do have another Hatch back Torana with a 454 in it, long term project .
