Always in for a FoW battle report! Personally I find it a bit immersion breaking that all those tanks are packed together instead of spread out (when I play a game with a friend we try to make it a bit more 'realistic' this way). Don't get me wrong though, it's not a reproach. All tournaments are played like that. Thanks for the FoW content!
As someone who plays Germans this is a very interesting matchup and im very interested in how it goes ( oh saw lists so far so I’ll update when I see the rest of the vid)
I saw only 1 or two mistakes on German side ( practically towards the end when you rushed the field.) i don’t remember if I would have done it earlier or later but I know that was tte major flaw I saw.
I thoroughly enjoyed this video! You have a wonderful voice and your style of reporting made me think that I was listening to a college football game. Very well done! In future reports, are you able to pull back and stand on a stool or ladder? For the average gamer, it would help to see the overall wargaming table, strategic pluses and minuses, and overall idea of who is where.. Your art/graphics are completely amazing! The gun fire really added to the realism of your report. If you included the overhead shot, maybe an arrow drawn as to the units intended routes. Once again, fantastic and fresh voice reporting, fast play actions, and beautiful terrain made this video a "must watch" battle report. Cheers from a new subscriber and viewer of your channel.
@@edthilenius7530 Thanks that's a lot of positive feedback for us. Now that we've moved we're in a space that will more allow me to stand on something other than a dining room chair! :P I'm always looking for ways to improve so thanks for sharing your thoughts. :)
Fun game to watch. Maybe teh American player should have cept one unit of AT12 on the field. That the Germans have to be more cairful. And i noticed 2 things: 1. the Pz4 Blitz should be a 3+(Veterans). And 2. the US Atillary forgot to rotate to target when fireing. Just minor errors. no game breaker ;)
Looks realy nice. Like the report. Good job. Sadly the American player made some serious mistakes placing his Armoured Rifle and giving away vicotry fairly easy. Never ever place your contesting teams behind the objective so some lucky shots or assault leave you of the objective. Also the Recce yould have slipped past on one flank and put some preasure on the 88 or just draw some fire of the Shermans.
I have a feeling that most people would jump at the chance to play 3rd edition. Myself included. 4th just seemed like a dumbed down version . Eliminating a lot of choices and limited lists. I just really really miss 3rd Ed.
I think it’s a common stance. I kind of missed v3. Went from 2 to 4. I can see both sides of the argument. It’s sad the community kind of divided the way it did. I’m glad my group still plays.
@@MiniatureGameMontage I discovered FoW by picking up the V1 book at thrift store, this was during the last days of V2. Learned to play V2 then 3rd Ed came out and it was fantastic. I loved my Brit paras and the Market Garden book was my favorite. Air landing company, 6 pounders and 75mm pack howitzers and all the mortars, it was glorious! 😁 I still have my army and don’t mind playing 4th but I would rather play 3rd .
Firepower test is stupid imo: hit, save, done - too much dice rolling aka too much luck involved in this game - just my impression. Nevertheless lovely report, gives a really good impression of the game.
@@MiniatureGameMontage I've never heard them called Stoogs before, over here in the UK, we just call them Stugs, literally as it's written. This is the first FoW battle report I've seen by you, have you tried SS Panthers yet? I was in a mini tournament a couple of weeks ago in Edinburgh and had some good games with them, I didn't win but I was close to winning in a couple of games. Which wasn't bad, seeing as I've hardly played anything since Covid started
@@michaelwain3198 I've run Panthers a few times but I only have 5 of them right now so my squads are small. I need to order another box. That tank might be my favorite from the period.
@@MiniatureGameMontage I've got 10 in total but only ran with 5 in the formation plus a platoon or 2 Tigers and another platoon of 4 Sdkfz 10/4 AA. They were backed up by four 88 Flak guns in a PAK front plus a few other cheap units. All that AT 14 goodness :)
This was tense and very realistic, well edited and despite any mistakes you pointed out it was thoroughly enjoyable. Thank you
Thanks! We’re working on another installment this week!

Cheers! I completely agree! I’m ready to do another report. Just need an opponent!
great game, great report! Also: Miniatures and terrain are beautiful. Makes me want to play a game of FoW again
Thanks! Glad it brought back some memories.
nice report, keep the FoW battles coming :)
Thanks hoping for another soon
Excellent battle report, I haven't played flames since V4 dropped but this was a delight to watch! Well edited!
Thanks! Was a lot of fun to play.
Great batrep. Good audio and camera work - not too jerky. Great terrain and paint jobs. You have a new subscriber.
Thanks and welcome! I'm very anxious to do more Flames of War.
Nice report guys. I feel your pain spotting mistakes in the editing step of the video but it helps us learn. Keep up the work
Thanks!

We do make some errors but we're getting better (it feels at least). Hope it's enjoyable.

Great report, very nice to watch, superb commentary. Instant fan
Thank you for watching and for the comment. :)
Thanks for another game of Flames!
Thanks! Hate it has been so long
Great to see anthony playing. I was worried the video would be super long. Hours of cut video I'm sure LMAO
Lol I thought we were pretty efficient. Was really happy to play some flames again.
The table is very well done very nice and good report ..
Thank you!
Fun, fun. Thanks for the game.
Great game guys and fantastic coverage 😁👍
Thanks!
thank you so much

Well, I goofed up. When watching it a second time, you actually do have overhead and arrow shots. Sorry, my bad. Still, it is an awesome video.

@@MiniatureGameMontage of course its fun. it was just a reminder of some rules. We all play to have fun, ay? :)
Right! And you are all good. I’m always looking to improve and appreciate the comments :)
Looks fun! How did you make those fields? I am not new to modeling but the fields look like a different way than I do
Welcome! It’s just a front door mat that is cut up. Easiest terrain ever!

i love battle reports. but that armored rifle platoon is not full strength.
Yeah we might have goofed up. Totally non-professionals :p
@@MiniatureGameMontage its fun though, can't wait for the new battle of the bulge, having anything more than AT 12 is an exciting prospect now

Are we going to see some Team Yankee battle reports as well?
Haven’t got into TY yet. That’s actually more popular than FoW in the area.

how do you roll a seven O-o?
6 followed by 5+. Or even 8s which is 6 followed by 6. 🙂
Panzer vI tank company

They stole the show!
American player needs to get some new dice
lol I'll pass that on! :D

Pronouncing a german word like English is dumb. It's a shorting of STUrm Geschutz and is pronounced in German as schtoog.
Algorithm booster
Yes please! :D

The only thing I hate about your video are the dice!!!, How about using a "Dice tower" but apart from that "Not bad" keep it going.
Rolling dice is very enjoyable for me. It’s crazy but it’s one of things I love the most.
@@MiniatureGameMontage In that case lose the armour, and keep the dice 😜
