Its USA Pickleball approved. It doesn't have any trampoline effect to it nor is really considered an ultra-power paddle. There won't be any delisting issues with it, for sure.
Definitely love that the Paddle is made in the USA! I’ve gone ahead and placed a pre-order just now. I currently use a Spartus Olympus, so this new paddle shape intrigues me. Is the core foam injected as well or is it just the edges? I presume this paddle is also USAPA approved? Thanks!!!
Yup! USA Pickleball approved. It's not foam injected but a proprietary blend we made with metallics and other materials. It's way better than foam, just wait! Thanks for your support!
Swing wieght and rpm on spin? Im really liking what I saw and hear. I have a bad shoulder and lower swing weight and high twist weight with power and good spin is what im looking for. Im a solid 4.5 swing weight?
higher twist weight is super important for tennis elbow and arm injury. shock and vibration are the cause of those ailments and a bigger sweet-spot is a shot with less of those. spin rate is such a hard thing to measure (unlike TW and SW). Having said that, the spin is fantastic with the T700 CF face - it really lets you pocket the ball and the forgiveness of the paddle allows for more accessible spin on more surface area of the face.
Same! I truly believe that if players give it a chance they'll feel and understand what we achieved with the paddle. We're putting our money where our mouth is and offering a free 30-day money back guarantee to encourage as many people to give it a try as possible. The reaction from reviewers that were seeded the paddle early has been solid thus far.
Not at all. It's the widest 13mm with the highest Twist-Weight (by far!). It doesn't play like a typical 13mm. It's plush but has noticeable pop. However, one thing it's not is an ultra power paddle. That era of paddles will hopefully be a distant memory soon :)

hello Steve, I see that you have the paddle listed for $225 before the discount code. What is the discount code? thanks
Researched and developed with love by pickleball players for pickleball players. Steve, should I use a raw carbon fiber paddle cleaning block / rubber abrasive cleaning stick to clean my Rhapsody 13?
I need to use that in our marketing! so well put. The carbon fiber will arrive pristine. You can use a cleaning block to keep it looking fresh, but personally, I like to show off my wear and tear and rarely clean the carbon. that's just me though
Communities in our area have very strict sound regulations on pickleball. Many paddles cannot pass the basic tests of dB and Hz that are acceptable. How noisy is your paddle? Note that the OWL and the Hush are two of the paddles that are acceptable in every test, many of the Selkirk paddles can also pass.
Interesting. I wouldn't describe the Rhapsody 13 as "quiet." The pop on it is very strong. I own a club in San Diego and we have to be mindful of noise. What's interesting is that its not the decibels but the pitch that makes it disrupting. Wish I had specific numbers for you - I wouldn't feel confident it would pass a strict community sound ordinance test.
@@AvouraSports Yes, the higher the pitch of the sound the more it penetrates and annoys since it is a repetitive popping sound. Tennis pitch is below 600Hz, and dBA is about 40. Pickleball pitch ranges all the way up to 1,200Hz and dBA of 80-105. The "Quiet" paddles have a pitch of 600Hz or less and the dBA is around 60.
I saw some others ask, but I would suggest making a short video with the "nerdy" technical specs written on screen so people don't have to seek them out in the comments.
4.1" - we made it small as its impossible to grip down a big circumference, but easy to grip up to a preferred size. we provide a free over-grip (an incredible one too) in every order for this reason.
I love the high twist weight combined with low swing weight and static weight. But I need a 5.75"-6" handle (I have big hands and use a two-handed backhand) and prefer the long reach of a 16.5" length. When the Avoura model comes out with those specs, I'm a buyer. Fun stuff. Good luck!
Absolutely! Lots of players fall into this category. We can't wait to keep innovating and making paddles for all players in our line. Thanks again for the support!
As we're just launching the brand next week, we don't have the distribution for brick-n-mortar quite yet. But soon! We're offering a 30-day money back guarantee (test drive) as a way to get players to give it a shot.
Seeing what you've done for pro-kennexvcauses me to believe that this is going to be a pretty great paddles. What are the specs of this paddle? Twist, swing , static.. thanks👍
The feedback from reviewers we've received is that it leans towards power but is more dynamic that a traditional power paddle. It provides the right amount of power without sacrificing touch and control. We test so many designs and lay-outs to get this balance. The one thing it's definitely not is an ultra-power paddle. The focus of the paddle is accessible power, control and touch with the large sweet-spot.
@@AvouraSports I have been playing with wide body or standard shape paddles this seems more like a hybrid shape but i like the concept. Also I like your description that's a good mix for a paddle power is necessary in todays game.
Looks like an amazing design for beginners! But isn't twist weight INDIRECTLY correlated to sweet spot (they can be closely related but they aren't the same)? From my understanding, twist weight is a measurement of the paddle's moment of inertia (it's stability, as you've described); its resistance to rotational forces along its axis. A higher twist weight can give the impression of a larger sweet spot because the paddle is more stable with off-center shots, but it doesn't account for the sweet spot's vertical component.
The paddle is great for beginners but also very suitable for pros. There are five pros using it, one being Callan Dawson from the PPA. It's a dynamic paddle. Twist weight and sweet-spot are sister metrics, but of course are different. The higher the twist-weight the larger the sweet-spot. And of course, the way its designed and the weighting system we use enlarges the sweet-spot east to west. Besides adding head weight I can't think of a design that would elongate it North/South. Thanks for reaching out!

Yes, there's a tolerance of about 0.1 in either direction which is lower than the industry standard. We weight them all before boxing since we are fully Made in the USA and able to conduct that QA checklist.
@@AvouraSports Can you please confirm what the actual weight is? Your website says the weight is 7.76 oz. I was really interested in this paddle because it was under 8 ounces and had room to add weight where I want it. At 8.1 ounces, I'm definitely less interested.
1. Are you going to get this paddle into the hands of the big You-Tube reviewers like John Kew, Pickleball Effect or Pickleball Medicine? 2. What has been the feedback on the length of the paddle? The hybrid and elongated shapes are so popular with lengths of 16.3-16.5 inches. The Rhapsody is only 15.5 in which is one of the shortest paddles on the market.
All three of those reviewers have Rhapsody 13's. As well as Pickleball Studio and a handful of smaller channels and reviewers! Feedback on the paddle has been fantastic. Excited to see the reviews published. It's all subjective, but thin, long paddles never felt all that organic and pleasurable to play with.
