as a bassist, it is true that bass players are extremely powerful, but our basses keep us from using that power
Fr.
I agree. As a bassist I can separate lego tiles without the separator, however by bass stops me.
Bro got unpinned
@@reality376 i got pinned???
Ohhh I got you it’s almost like nerfing them that’s why they get stuck playing them cause if they weren’t forced to play bass they would have enough power to collapse the entirety of existence
as a musician, this video gave me so much pain.
i love it
Aaron paulsen got this wrong, the only that scares bassists is women.
What did I do
I'm a bassist and a women, what now dawgers nee
@@biasedbaker1623 making money off bass
As a bassist I can confirm women terrify me. I gotta play blind folded so I don’t have to see any women in the audience
How can a bassist be scared of that which it has never seen?
Can we just appreciate the literal pain he just endured for our entertainment? Getting those picks and coins is awful.. but smashing that guitar was soul crushing
it. was. a bass. xx 😇🙏
@@amariem09 even worse
@@amariem09a bass guitar
A bASS*
Clearly you can’t appreciate it, because you called that bottom shelf thrift shop bass a guitar
As a bassist...
*sobs violently*
He definitely hurt us
The fact that the drummer isn’t tapping his feet constantly is kinda unrealistic ngl
Facts bro I can’t ever stop moving and my feet are always tapping out a beat XD
It's true, whenever a bass is broken, somewhere in the world, a bassist ascends. I can only hope my time will come soon.
Who knew torture was such an untapped field of study. Thank you for creating more situations for me to fear
As a bassist, I feel true peace at last. Thank you Aaron.👍
the acting, the way he says his lines, the perfectly expressed emotions. that's why i love Aaron
Paul
of Breaking Bad
Dang it, missed the sen
Very overrated show for basic people
The bass is the backbone of every track. Ive heard plenty of songs without guitar, but no good song without a bassline.
the way his face dropped when he took off the cymbal sleeve like that was gonna be the worst part 😂😂
"How 'bout you kick rocks, bud"
Truly a wound to the soul
I thought that for the drummer you were going to ‘tune’ a drum by tightening one tension rod lots and the others none at all. That was much better. 😂
The longer the better!
(Yes, I'm talking about the duration of the videos)
On point as usual, Aaron 🙌
Aaron I love your content, the shorts and the full videos they’re just too good! You’re criminally underrated and I hope the best for the future of your career!🎉🎉
Thanks for the love! ❤❤❤
@@AaronPaulsen hey no problem! You deserve it!
His 3 minute videos have more plot development than my whole life
This felt like a 10 minute video but it was only 3 minutes.
as a drummer, i can confirm every second of that is correct. from placing the cymbal to distracting us with cocomelon.
LMAO the expression on the drummer shifting to terror when he saw he put the felt off
3 years of pain, 3 years of tears, 3 years of being held back, 3 years of feeling like a nobody, 3 years of the only people I look up to being Victor Wooten and Davie504… 3 years of playing the bass… I’m a bassist, and this is my story.
This channel deserves more subscribers. I'm only disappointed I didn't find it sooner!
I love these longer videos please keep on making them❤
Oh man I love these videos, favorite UA-cam content of all time. And as a bassist I was dying laughing
As a bassist you couldn’t be closer from the truth, he hide our power within the bass
thank you for the tutorial! was really helpful to see this exact situation on youtube right as i needed it!!!!!
This guy puts so much effort in his video.
You are awesome man
I love you Aaron, your videos are gold, making me laugh every time ❤
I love your videos so much! I recently found your channel, and your videos are so good!
Aaron I’ve been watching your videos for awhile now, and I love it! The coco melon bit made me laugh so hard lol. Please keep making videos! Much love ❤️ 😊
Literally the best content
You have got to appreciate the effort and sacrifice this guy put into the video, he PUT COINS AND PICKS INSIDE THE GUITAR!MANS INSANE! and not to mention freeing the bass player, now how who will play bass?
3:17 the bassist in the band tally hall literally went on to become a prominent doctor
Your a comedic genius!
When you're not carrying a whole band, you start to feel pretty light
As a bassist I can confirm this is true, we are held back from our true potentials by our basses.
such a masterpiece
I have something better in mind for a guitarist: how about you tune a guitar and when you reach the third to first strings you just keep tuning higher and higher, get close and personal and Just. Keep. Going. Up
You'll get your answer in no time!
'I'm finally free'. Meanwhile the sick ass bass riff in the background...
This was epic. A hurricane came through Louisiana 15 years ago and a guy who played guitar with me for years had a horrific accident and cut his ring finger off on his left hand. Let me tell you that he had played with Dr John,, Bobby Kimball, Edgar and Johnie Winter, to name a few.......he was a killer player. When I found out I called him crying to which he said, DON'T CRY, ITS THE HAPPIEST DAY OF MY LIFE I FINALLY TOLD ____________________ NO NAME BECAUSE HES A BIG REGIONAL AND A NATIONALLY KNOWN ACT.........I QUIT........ This bit had me laughing out loud. Love the music in the background
Bass player is the same as when the guy who always has to play support finally gets a chance to not play support.
Remember, your support doesn’t play support because they like it, they play support because none of the other friends want to
Loved it.
Aaron Paulsen posted today was a good day
Low key u can torture any musician by clapping on 1 and 3😂😂😂
as a drummer, this is what we call a "distress call."
we do this whenever a drum kit is either out if tune, wrong, or made by evans.
Im just glad you didn’t miss the hole on the cymbal and scrape the pointy part underneath the bell for 20 minutes
oNPOINT!… I am a drummer in a band and I feel your pain💯
RIP to that bass tho, will forever be missed
Him dropping the guitar picks in the guitar is so painfully accurate.
The cymbals with no felts made me physically cringe, the kind where you bite down on your right index finger.
Shoutout to Aaron for needing to fish all of those picks out after the vid
as a drummer I do make a air raid siren noise when there's no clutch on my symbal
I don’t even have an acoustic kit yet I felt pain when I saw that cymbal
I just love the acting😂😂 especially the one where ur the guitarist 😭
Amazing.
as a guitarist, i felt so much pain, physically and mentally
When the bassist realised he can play guitar too 😂
Aaron just doesn’t miss
dude i was screaming when you took the thing off the crash stand
he put so many picks in a guitar for a bit, huge respect
How do you style your hair 🥺 I need to know this is the kind of look I want to go for but just don't know how to do
Aaron: *walks out the door for a part of the skit, goes back inside and comes back out wearing a suit*
Neighbors: "what the hell is he doing?"
These vids are so funny 😆
Well, I thought I was a musician. Turns out I’m an interrogator.
Sos un surrealista Aaron...
That red bag on the head looked like the covef of Frances the Mute by the Mars Volta. Amazing. 😂
Daaamn, that's a good catch! And one of the best albums of all time. :D
Hahahahahahhaha mines an algernon cap 😂
Was fortunate to see them live this year.
as a bassist i don't now how to feel about this lol.
I once dropped a pick in my guitar. I just stopped playing guitar instead.
I felt the coins in the guitar bro that shit is brutal
NOOOO NOT THE BASS
nvm that was a good thing
Davie504 would not be too happy right now
@@macmicmachaha4598 he would not
The bassist part fking gets me 😂😂😂
The one thing worse than drinking a pick into a guitar, is picking a guitar up by the strings😂
So... having someone break your bass puts you in creative mode?
As a musician the video is true and accurate. But as a bassist if you really want to interrogate a bassist try singing out of rhythm of the beat lol that will make a bassist talk lol
As a drummer, that cymbal placement was painful
I don’t even play acoustic and that first part pissed me off
I weezered my whole school, aaron would be proud
I dated a bassist once, cool guy, now he’s dating my best friend, good for him
I play saxophone, if you want to interrogate me just destroy my reed.
As bassist, i can only tell 😶
Putting the picks in the sound whole made me want to tell you where your money is 😂
as a drummer I started making intense faces and then accidentally set my whole house on fire
thought he was gonna pull out a 4/4 metronome for the drummer
When I was 4, I accidentally dropped my marker (without the cap) inside my dad's guitar and that's the only time I've seen him panicking
As a guitarist, I do not condone the behavior you just put me through in the first one >:(
Oh man, I used to hate dropping my picks in the guitar! Having to turn it upside down at just the right angle and shake it until the pick fell out. Especially if it was my last pick. Lol
That doctor looking kinda sus ngl
I hope that guitar was either fake or broken beyond repair
me, a drummer of 8 years and guitarist of two days, sensing this is interrogation
It feels like hot knives.
0:30
“How bout’ you kick rocks..
*bud* ”
idk why that was so funny 😭😭
And just for the last couple of days I was seriously considering, picking up playing bass, for the prospects of getting out more often, trying to get free beer, and having some other activity on a night out, besides getting mercilessly rejected by women.
Watching this has given me a.good couple of giggles, but also a lot of second thoughts....oh well, might as well find out if this skit is true for myself!!
Anyone knows what kind of guitar that is? Acoustic but with a strat neck cool as heck
I love how accurate their looks are to people who play those instruments! xD
Kick rocks,,, Haha!!! That got me
As a bassist myself … follow this advice I’ll get more gigs :D
this is the second time a bass has ever been depicted on this channel
I can confirm. I also play bass exclusively because I happen to still own one.
true bassits learn to control the bass and not let the bass control them
I half thought that your floor would break before the base did
