    If you are the owner of cage 2 (or owners of, smaller or similar cages) cnc grids are super cheap, and probably a ton cheaper than those cages. Also there are tons of diys for toys and diy hides.

    i think this cage reaction series is a fantastic idea. Not only have you helped your own pigs live their best life but you are also changing the lives of other peoples pigs. These piggie owners are really brave sending pics of their enclosures, and it shows they want the best for their pigs. I might send my own 4 enclosures in. I have 3 pairs of boys and a trio of 2 girls and neutered boy.

    You can tell what size the grid is by counting the number of squares per grid. 14 inch safe grids have 9. 14 inch unsafe have 8 or less. 11 to 12 inch grids have 7 squares. Just a tip!

    I’m not sure why so many parents think it’s okay to get Guinea pigs for their children but not continue to provide for the Guinea pigs properly, shouldn’t be down to the kids, so many people see them as starter pets, very frustrating x

    • @autumngrace.
      @autumngrace.  2 роки тому +3

      Agreed: the majority of my emails are from children and it’s frustrating because I know many of them are not in a position to improve their care because of their parents. I dislike that parents get kids pets then won’t allow their kids or help them to have proper care

      I know this was month's ago but as someone who is a teenager who owns 5 guinea pigs and also owned guinea pigs since I was younger, I agree. I'm 15 year old and own 5 piggies, I'm lucky enough to have parents that did research and proper cage sizes. They help me buy things and vet bills, as well I also help buy things such as accessories and if i want to upgrade the cages I have. I recently upgraded my pair of males cage from 2x6 to a 3x8 and planning on upgrading their cage soon and maybe add a loft. As much work i do everyday for them I don't think they are made for children/teens who don't have parents to help them and do research. Because i know no child is gonna pay for expensive vet bills that are like $300+. They are expensive animals and need so much care

    I was just wondering if maybe you could make a video/include in one of your videos on how to make a hay box? Maybe include different options and suggestions for bedding. I’ve heard of pee pads at the bottom, using paper bedding, actually using pellets and other types of things. Maybe you could talk about like how your litter/hay box is set up or things you’ve tried in the past. Also how to not waste as much hay and things you Guinea pigs seem to like, and why it’s so beneficial. I’m having trouble on the best way to use a hay box. Just a suggestion, I feel like it would be very helpful 😁. Anyways, thank you lol

      I would say anything over a 5x2 is recommended for 3 piggies, a 6x2 would be ideal, bigger is always better especially as males can be quite dominating, also make sure to have several hides and water bottles, hay areas etc. hope that was helpful!

    Hi! Great video! Comment/question for cage (8?), the one with a divider down the middle with skinny pigs. It looks like all the panels are solid. Shouldn't these be more ventilated at least on two sides per section (plus the top is open for the 3rd side)? Solid panels down the middle is probably great for keeping the more aggressive piggy from nipping at the others but I think the outside panels need holes for proper ventilation.

    • @autumngrace.
      @autumngrace.  2 роки тому +1

      Yeah you’re probably right! I didn’t think to mention it but gridded panels would probably be good on the outer sides for more ventilation.

    Are there any laws about minimum cage sizes for pigs where you live? We have laws for cage sizes in Sweden and they are incredibly small! Like I can’t even wrap my head around it, the law states that animals should be able to behave naturally etc but the cage sizes for one pig is at least 0,3 m2 with the shortest side being 0,4 meters. When keeping more than one pig each pig should have 0,15 m2. That means that for two pigs it is enough with a 15 3/4 inch by 29 17/32 inch cage. It is a disgrace.

    • @autumngrace.
      @autumngrace.  2 роки тому +1

      I love the long videos 😊 and I think the intro is important because new people could click on the video. If I click on a new persons video and know nothing about them or what to expect on the channel I tend to leave. You can just skip the intro if you don’t like it it’s labeled in the video.

    • @autumngrace.

      The intro is less than 2 minutes long. Feel free to skip it. I conveniently put timestamps in the description so you could. Look at that. Also, around half of my viewers are actually not subscribed to me. I can see that in my analytics.
      And a disclaimer is necessary. If you saw the kind of comments I get sometimes you would understand that I need to specify that I am not a professional.
      I have had plenty of people tell me they prefer longer videos. So I will continue to cater to what the majority of my audience wants to see, as well as too what I want to make on MY channel.
