For awhile I thought this L-shaped tank was connected to the other tanks at the back and the middle. This one is just ginormous. Truly a glorious home for a lucky hamster.
I need to let you know that my professor showed the class pictures of your enclosure as the ideal hamster heaven. We're veterinary medicine students, and she's the specific professor for non-conventional pets (such as rodents, birds and reptiles). Good job!
i so wish we had a class or prof who even bothered to talk about exotics and uncommon pets :( maybe it's because i got a va degree rather than vt or full degree, but it made me feel so dumb having to explain to my profs and peers in my own program why small cages are horrible for hamsters
I love to see you put each hamster in a different enclosure and even though it's a lot you still make sure the space it big and entertaining enough for each hamster No matter how big the area is, never put in more than one hamster in one enclosure
Show this to PetSmart and pet co, I found it funny that she said I TRIED to make it as fun as possible, like she didn't already do that, most hamsters don't even live in an enclosure 1/4 of that size, or have different textures, or hideouts, amazing cage, awesome work

And i bet that the total cleaning is not something that you'll Doo every 1-2 months at this point, there's so much space that I don't think it needs to be cleaned so often (besides spot cleaning ofc). Wow that enclosure is giant! What bedding do you use? Lately my Kaytee Clean and Cozy has been collapsing on top of burrows! In your room tour i saw a burrow and was like " wow that stuff holds so well!"

That's amazing! Have you had to deal with any bug problems? My setup has usually taken about 180l of bedding and I've had occurring problem with psocids which is a major PITA. Sure would love to figure out how to prevent it. :/

Where do you get everything? What is your rough cost of filling and getting all of this? How many animals do you have, this is their own room right? did you make the cage yourself? How do you clean it?
I am missing a water source. Hamsters must drink, and they do. Use a flat one, like a plate for plants. Otherwise fantastic and best ever hamster habitat❤❤❤
Hi with so much bedding, do you freeze it beforehand? How do you keep bugs at bay? I was just dealing with some kind of booklice this week... 😫😣. Thank you for your input!
I don‘t freeze bedding, only their food. I don‘t really do anything else to prevent bugs :) Booklice like moist/humid areas so keeping up with spot cleaning and keeping the area under the water bowl dry really helps with those. Also keeping air humidity low 😊

You should use safe horse beeding. You should compress it after every layer of beeding. When you do this than the borrows should hold.
