    In this video I scrap 3 items for copper, brass, aluminum and steel to make some extra cash. I show how I scrap things to remove the copper and other valuable metals to sell for money at a scrap yard.

    yep, I do it basicly the same way. Some people think we are wasting our time but the same people are the ones sitting on a barstool drinking their money away and complain how they have no money and wonder how we can survive cutting up scrap.

    I love scrapping those types of motors. Also, I'm really glad the windings turned out to be copper. It's always frustrating when you get that far in the teardown and realize their aluminum. Thanks for making another great video!

    My garbage truck dismantle Chinese vacuums in seconds. Let alone an electric hedge trimmers., pot and pan ,chandeliers, aluminum outboards. Anything.

    Always love tearing stuff apart that I find from street scrapping get coppper sometimes and more metals and insulation copper wire all adds up! You can more stuff from going to the landfeild by tearing stuff apart! I have a bunch of them where I taken stuff apart need get me a vise to use that would be handy! Great video buddy!

      Same here my friend, I just love scrapping and recovering the metals, especially the good ones like copper and such. Yeah a vise is a must in my opinion, it makes so much stuff easier to get apart. Thank you buddy, I appreciate it.

      yes, vise is very handy. I have 4, three in the shop and 1 mounted to the back of my scrap truck.

    Brilliant video I liked how you explained near the end the prices in England metric and American metric, I have a trick for getting the small copper transformers off,ill have to show you when I do a video in the near future, its totally true I scrap because I enjoy taking stuff apart and not just for the money,my i like to show people what i scrap and what i find and bring home to process with new or old scrappers around the globe ,thank you and God bless my friend 👍

    What you're calling brass next to the dirty brass, the spherical bearings, is probably sintered bronze. Price will differ from yellow brass. Just like a lot of guys throw magnesium, tin, and pot metal in with cast aluminum. They're generally higher priced, and lighter, than aluminum.

      Yeah it’s definitely bronze, but since my yard only pays yellow brass price I’ve got into the habit of calling it brass. Thanks for your comments and for watching.

    Yes, I agree, it’s kinda therapeutic, I gathered all my stuff together that was trash ready and scrapped £48 I then discovered I don’t have all the tools, and to keep going, you do need a regular free supply of stuff

      Yeah that can be a challenge, finding stuff. I’m not sure what your area is like with garbage pick up and laws about taking stuff from peoples trash piles but you might look into that. Thank you for watching.

      UK don’t put trash out on streets, each individual has to take their own to recycling government operated centre, so you very rarely see anything on the streets for scrapping, skips and company dumpsters, it’s a bit sketchy, as you can get done for trespassing as always on private land, so no curb side in uk, it’s all junk free

      @@johnthompson9032 that’s what I was thinking it was like. I visited England a few years ago (Nottingham) and I remember never seeing the streets looking like they do here in the USA. I wonder if you can advertise that you’ll pick up certain scrap for free. Just make a list of items you would take and post an ad.

      I appreciate your tip you shared. I think I didn’t get it even in the vise, so probably operator error on my part. I tried it on a thinner one and it worked just like yours did!

      @@scrapitall200 Yours was cut a little differently, too. It will work with that method, but will be a little more difficult. The ones it works really well on are the ones that have just a little curve on them. 👍

    I believe those bushing are made of bronze, but I could be mistaken. Nice breakdowns, and I like getting things down to bare bones, as well.
    I have bins full of all the busy, or "winter work ", as Ian calls it.

      Yes I believe you are right, they are bronze but since my yard give me yellow brass price for them I’ve got in the habit of calling them brass, I need to do a better job calling the metals by their technical names.

      @@willthecat163 yards will do whatever they want to, right? Lol. I live in a very remote place and I don’t have options like many scrappers do. It used to bother me, but I’ve learned just to accept it and be thankful I don’t have to sort things out lol. I will say though, my yard calls all insulated wire #2, heavy extension cords, ribbon wire from computers, tiny wires, everything. So it makes things real easy for myself.

    yep, it doesn't seem like much but that was only 3 items, now times that by how much we get in and that numbers gets nice especially if you have the space and can hold for the bigger price tags.

    I would call those brass things, sleeve bearings. Nice work! Happy 4th. I have a blister on my left index from stripping thick wire that was hot from sitting in the sun to make it tolerable to fillet. Not complaining, wore a glove today.

      @@scrapitall200 no weight lately, but half bucket of 1/4" tinned cable, some smaller solid and multistrand. Several lbs. of brass nuts and bolts. All fetched on my bike rides. Also, yesterday two vacuum cords on the way to bank...just happened to have my Crescent compound cutters!

    I love making free money I just took back a load of copper and rads and few other things just from one month I 720 dollar of free money just my time and I took all my motors back I got 130 dollar

    So I don't know how much you're into the recovery process, but I'd like to offer a tip for you, if I may. Switches have a good potential for silver or gold contacts. These can be anywhere from lightly plated to almost pure. Thanks for your videos. Hope this helps but I'm sure you probably already know this info. dan
