Great video! I just want to say that I take my mcat Friday 05/24 and you have helped me a lot on my mcat journey. If I would have found you earlier in the process I would have definitely taken a course from you instead of the other courses. Thank you for your help!

Thank you! quick question, @ 05:00 you said wavelength is held constant. how can that be, if shift means the change in wavelength or apparent wavelength? thanks

Great question! Doppler effect, we are directly comparing frequencies, not wavelength. If the speed is held constant, wavelength will also change (it has an inverse relationship with frequency, so if frequency goes up, wavelength will go down). BUT if we are also observing a change in wave speed with frequency, then wavelength will stay constant! A good way to think of this is with our equation c = fλ. One of these variables will always need to stay constant in order to compare two other variables. The question set up will let you know which one to hold constant, and which two to compare!

@@bremmethod Hello! do you recommend any study resources for mcat? 😊

I usually suggest students choose resources that best fit their learning style and preferences, but I do love the UWorld QBank (I use it for all my programs), and of course the AAMC Online Resources are great practice!
