Korie, I listen to “whoa” podcasts all the time and I’m a middle-aged woman, so I absolutely love when you’re on and I hear things like eating at “Shoneys” and days when social media didn’t exist! These podcast reach all types of age groups and are so very appreciated ❤

Shoney’s breakfast buffet was so good!!! Loved the bacon, grits, fruit…sausage gravy with biscuits!!!
When Korie talked about riding the trains throughout Europe I could relate bc I also was blessed with a semester abroad. Classes were in-house M-W, and we also were encouraged to travel sight-see the other 4 days, either on our own, or with included school trips.
We had very little money, there were no cell phones, no debit cards, no gps.
(I had asked a travel agent if I could take one of the “beach ball”/ inflatable globes they had as decorations, and so then we had our map!)
We also slept on a lot of trains bc we couldn’t afford hotels.
It was a little scary at times but we had our faith. We prayed for guidance, protection, and provision. My friends and I made it through many sketchy situations (and probably many more we weren’t aware of).
The love, mercy, and grace of God was with us as we explored.
I’m thankful He is still with me as I continue on this journey of life.

Some friends are just for a season. I've had to accept thus truth with pain. Because for a few years, I invested so much time and love into being a mom figure to a young man my son's age. He became a brother to my son and I adopted him by the heart. We even spent a Christmas with his family one year. I really thought this was a friendship like family that would last forever, but he went a different direction in his life and completely dropped me. I tried keeping communication open, but he completely backed out as if I didn't exist anymore. This was so painful, but I've had to let go.

Ladies ladies, those are not bangs! Bangs are supposed to cover your forehead, to the eyebrows give or take -- you just have long layers on each side, looks the same as if you still had hair all one length. Love your videos!
