Great questions! please see breakdown below: 1) Just my opinion, but Apple AirPods Pro paired with Apple TV 4K beats the experience of Sonos Ace (via Arc) in pretty much all content and movies imo. Regardless of Atmos or not. 2) Pulse Elite for 3D audio on PS5 games beats the Sonos Ace (via Arc) for gaming both in single player games and multiplayer in my experience. You can't really even turn on 3D audio through PS5 when using Sonos Ace (via Arc). If you already have AirPods Pro, you could buy a bluetooth dongle which allows it to be used with the PS5 and enable 3D audio. Everyone actually say that the noise canceling is better on the AirPod max, i have no idea where you heard differently. I tried them in a store, and while it was good, it wasn’t overwhelmingly good. But they were the most comfortable pair of headphones i tried and why i bought them.

Hey Giacinto, I thought about it but it really was no contest. The gaming headsets far outperform the Sonos Ace in every way except 1) noise cancelling performance and 2) ease of switching between inputs (if you have a Sonos system), and 3) overall outside the home non-gaming usage ofcourse.

If I cared more about the look of the headset and was going to mainly watch movies and UA-cam/podcasts, then I would go with the Sonos Ace. Also, I'm sure Sonos will add the audio swap feature to sonos beam soon enough hopefully. Would be weird if they didn't 🤔

As for your inquiry, 1) If you have the Sonos Arc speaker currently AND don't care much for having voice chat mic functionality on ps5, then yes I would go Sonos Ace. Plus you get added benefit of a very nice pair of headphones for everyday use outside and on flights. Even if you don't have the Sonos Arc, you can buy a little usb-c dongle from Amazon and plug it into ps5 to use it as a gaming headset (I talk about this more in depth in my 2024 best ps5 headset video) 2) The Audeze Maxwell will give you more versatility in the EQ sound profiles while gaming, as well as a great mic which is really beneficial if you play with friends a lot or like to use voice chat in general. It also sounds better for music imo than the Sonos Ace.. at least makes it sound more exciting to me. Haven't used it for watching TV shows but imagine it would pair with most smart TVs without any issue via bluetooth. Def not the best for everyday use outside though as it's pretty bulky and heavy. Hey Dark Sage, thanks for watching man! Okay, for gaming, they definitely don't sound as robust as the Audeze Maxwell. The Maxwell gives much more EQ adjustments and better for hearing footsteps and overall just a much more versatile and customizable sound. Also, the Sonos Ace won't really easily allow you to use the mic for party or in-game chat if that's something you do (you'll need that dongle I mention in the gaming headset video). What the Sonos Ace definetly has going for it, is by far, the BEST noise cancelling compared to any gaming headset out there for sure and the EASIEST to switch between different consoles and TV streaming devices (just tap the audio swap button, and BAM like magic). The sound quality on the Ace while gaming is really good in its own right (spectacular actually, considering it doesn't have the PlayStation Tempest 3D audio enabled when using it via Audio Swap), BUT it's just not as versatile EQ and feature wise as something like the Audeze Maxwell for sure. All this to say, the fact that we're even comparing Sonos Ace to top tier gaming headsets like the Audeze Maxwell at all is saying something. Sonos Ace is overall a more versatile headset that can be rocked on a plane, when going outside, and far more applications than the beefy Audeze Maxwell, but just not as versatile for gaming specifically. Also, I'm sure some people will say it has more audio latency than the Maxwell and other gamign headsets using 2.4Ghz connection, but in all honesty, if there is latency, it doesn't personally affect my gameplay at all in call of duty or any other game i've played.

I use the Sony XM5’s and they are great. Re gaming I can simply connect a 3.5mm cable from them to my Xbox Series X controller with no issues or adapters.
After listening to sennheiser momentum 4 sounds better than ace and AirPod max. I own all 3. I don’t use my AirPod max anymore. Ace sounds neutral but good. Sennheiser just sounds better 😊
