That's a cool little motor.
i sure do not miss kicking one of these over. i used to have a a65 spitfire and by hell was that compression stroke something. the guy i bought it off of couldnt be bothered rebuilding the carburetor multiple times he would ride it , it would leak fuel out the tickler on each carb and catch fire. he said to hell with it its a death trap if it dont kill him itl kill someone else and well with that attitude i took on the risk for an easy $300.
Running those stacks on the carbs is asking for trouble. Get good decent sized filters on them or better still a large air box, no point looking cool and killing engines

Well looks like you're gonna get to see some, the shenanigans have begun. The customer wants to continue with this project. He has several parts motors as well in case we need parts. Originally I was just going to do the engine, now he's talking about bringing his bike so I can install the engine too and get it running for him. So we will see how all this works out. l thought the hornet had a magneto not coils....my first bike was a 65 t bolt l was 15 put 50 thousand miles on it

No. 1, its anBeezer, very prone to issues like blowing up. No. 2, High Compression is a Non-Finisher. Desert Racers used 7.5:1.
