To me I feel like Denji is relapsing and using sex as a coping mechanism to forget all the pain, but he can’t and it breaks him down and we’re witnessing trauma induced hypsersexuality-Denji clung to Katana Man’s brothel idea and was seeking validation; but got NONE.

Genuinely believe that fujimoto doesn’t care about the haters, he’s more interested in trolling (and I like it) and telling an interesting story about denjis and asa’s worldviews and denjis depression and such. I genuinely feel like an outcast here with how much I like that these last four chapters are just talking about things. It’s nice to slow down and think for a bit. Good change of pace from classic chainsaw man violence, and more growth and story is happening here than people Give it credit for about fami’s goals and such.
Dont think he ever cared about the haters.
I also supported him and was all up for characters' development but it's been too stretched out, the past 2 chapters added absolutely nothing to the characters that we already didn't know(except katana man) I think fujimoto should get back to the faster paced arcs now
I love the contrast of both parts where part 1 was so story and plot driven while it was more fast paced and action centered seeing the progression of the story slowed down a bit and focusing more on the characters has been an interesting and wonderful change for me

Now, Denji is seeing everything fall apart before him, while being reminded time and again that no one gives a crap about him, as a person; it's only Chainsaw Man they love.
Honestly, a "normal life" for him must be off the table now.
realizing like chainsaws were originally used in childbirth, Denji killing Makima to bring new life into the world and ending up in a maternal role with her reincarnation. chainsaw cuts down the tree 木(ki) in her name and you end up with mama.
To me this chapter seems like its trying to show how a big part of Denji's problem is the coercive masculinity that tries to state itself over his needs and pushed onto him through dehumanization

Jokes aside, I do think that it's kinda satisfying to see Denji finally being able to think straight (with the best that his dim brain can do) and reflect upon himself for once. Unfortunately, that is set back by the fact that none of the group understood his predicament. Exactly like the world around him. War is brooding and people don't really care.

Relatable chapter

I’m a fan who also enjoys part one a lot more than part two but I was lucky enough to have read part one when it was finished so I didn’t have the frustration with part two where we’re waiting every week for a new chapter. I think fujimoto is focusing more on character development with denji rather than the plot and although frustrating as it can seem slow, I think it is still very important in the long run and will eventually tie everything together. All in all, chainsaw man fans let’s be patient and let fujimoto cook!

After watching this video, I believe the "rescue" of Denji, in this arc, is still happening. Getting him out of public safety building was only the first step. And I think Denji's recent actions is humanizing Chainsaw Man for the other characters. They have had this idealistic vision of who he was, and Denji is showing everyone how broken he actually is.
I like that, we're gonna see the "rescue" of Denji in all forms, mentally, physically, emotionally, etc
If it wasn’t more clear how alienated Denji is. The fact paneling has him separated from Haruka and Nobana ( rip Seigi wherever he is) just so how detach Denji is from others. He’s not normal and doesn’t know how to be normal. It’s not his fault but Makima absolutely may things worst for Denji to function. So to cope sex, the one thing not tainted by him to set things right. Expect everytime sex came to his mind it leads to bad things. Fumiko, the church, dominion effect of bad times. When Denji is biting his finger and touching his face he’s literally mimicking how Makima touched him. He’s victim of sa he needs a proper support system.
Anyway doubt Denji getting his dog chopped off since it’ll just grow back if his chord. Let Fujimoto cook because the character studies been amazing 🙏🏾

Maybe in this arc it's about Denji getting his priorities straight, that's the one single consistent thing in this arc.
Like he sort of wants to save Nayuta but doesn't know how and neither do those around him help him in that since they don't know her, also Fami(She is the only one who knows Nayuta) is really suspicious here since she probably knows that's what Denji wants but she doesn't really interact in a way to bring her up, like this Arc can easily be resolved, go figure out if Nayuta is alive or dead instead of mopping around and act accordingly there after, but I guess it will probably be too fast of an Arc if it went smoothly plus I don't trust Fami at all

Gonna be honest here:
This chapter felt like filler. Denji focused harder on *that* than anything in his life after talking to Asa. What I found hilarious was when he thought the other two guys were gonna agree with him on his uh…epiphany. Their silence spoke volumes. Asa was flabbergasted which had me rollin 😆 Katana Man’s favorite place got burned down and the look on his face said it all, Denji had a breakdown over his priorities, Kobeni’s brother laughed at Denji’s sorrow and Yoru said the most out of pocket thing I’ve ever heard her say and that’s saying something. Fujimoto is truly unpredictable.

I really respect your grind. I know the chapters have been slow, and they're short, and there isn't really a whole lot to talk about. Hopefully this is going to get a little better when the next arc hits.
It sucks, and I know we all love Chainsaw Man, but I mean, how many wordless panels do we need in a 15 page chapter of Denji biting his thumb debating whether or not he needs to nut. I'm getting a little frustrated at this point myself.

You know what, even that Denji knows really bad, how the society works, in the really minor details, he still understands, that to achieve the next step of Pyramid of Needs you need to close the previous level, and he has a point.
Cuz when you have everything, or almost everything in first level of needs, then you can easily start exploring the next one.
It's really curious way to develop a character, but yet kinda slow for the majority of CSM fans.
Hope that Fujimoto will fix this issue.

I feel like chainsaw man's plot in part 2 has moved by several inches and its starting to get to me.
Part 1 struck a good balance between plot and characters but in part 2 i feel like way too much attention is given to the characters. I just hope something happens in upcoming chapters because so far other than the death devils arrival being revealed nothing much has happened plot wise.
Its hard man, but just stick it out.

I agree. We are in no hurry. Story of part two most likely will end in 40 chapters. Story will pick up the pace and I don't think we are not going anywhere. Denji is like snail, he kept going back in his shell everytime something bad had happened. Its first time Denji is questioning himself and I really am interested to see how will that result in his choice in future.
