- Ahead of tonight's concert to celebrate the grand re-opening of Michigan Central Station, Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan, Ford Philanthropy President Mary Culler and other leaders honored Detroit's artists and paid homage to the city.
And so the wind carried the words she spoke like prayers, thanks, and hope to the spirits of Detroits past. They are still here, they are still alive, they are Detroit.
I've been so excited about this. I love Detroit! ❤

Detroit has a long history of mismanagement from both Republicans and Democrats, on top of numerous other factors like globalization, urban sprawl, and racial tensions. Seems dumb to blame one party in particular for the central station sitting empty. About what I'd expect from somebody named after motorcycles.
