Well after 2hrs of watching people basically doing the same fix, this is the video I've been looking for ! Thank you for actually showing the location of the grommets, everyone else just magically pulls them from somewhere under the dash! Very helpful
You're so welcome! I am so glad it helped. I felt like it was hard to see where the grommets were located on the firewall. I am glad you could see them in the video!
@@robertmarsh5786 so far so good! I did our first alpha in 2019 and our 2nd one in 2020 and so far no issues. I will definitely keep an eye on them, just in case
Great video. If anyone has a H3T, there's drain hoses that are in the C pillars, and drain at the base of the corners of the cab. Found this out the hard way, but the same concept can be applied.
@@kevinsmithey3254 we'll, the leak returned unfortunately, so now I've gotta get back in there and figure it out. I might make it winter project, but I'll keep y'all posted on what I find!
Hi there, I have a "rear" video of the rear as well. I think it's on my UA-cam page. Let me see if I can send it here... It doesn't look like it will let me. I am not very youtube savvy, I am sorry. Maybe try clicking on my name and looking on my page. I hope this helps! The rear is much easier than the front
I am so sorry, I am not sure where exactly to locate a new grommet, but right off hand, I think the dealer may be the only place that has a part as specific as this. If you can remove the other grommet, maybe you can take it with you somewhere to try and match the part. I hope this helps! Thank you for watching the video!
I did that a few years ago, worked for years then it began to leak once again. that grommet is hard to get to unless you have small hands and the whole process is very annoying. I'm rerouting that hose down to the floor this time. A very poor design, to say the least!
Wow, what a shitty engineering job. Every Hummer, including my H2, clogs and is hard to get to. And on the H2 the light bung fails and drains into the cab too. Engineering rule: If its going to fail, make it easy to get to and fix.

Thank you for the H3T details! I hope the hard way wasn't too bad for you

Thank you- been a rainy and moldy smelling summer. Got the drain kit brushes and forced out the guck. Thanks for showing me where these grommets are.
Great info! Very informative!
Thank you! I hope it helps!
Nice job man. I have tried once taking off the hose but will try again
Thanks man! Are you talking about the hose where it meets the drains at the sunroof?
@@kevinsmithey3254 I later figured it and I have totally fixed it. Thanks . You saved me a lot.
@@ritchpoint I am so glad to hear that! Thank you for letting me know! You made my day! Have a blessed night!
Muchas gracias amigo!

De nada, MI Amigo!
Thanks for the insight helped out with our h3’s
You're so welcome! I am so glad it helped you! God bless!
Do you have a video for the rear drains?
Awesome video bud!
Thank you so much man! I appreciate that!
You mentioned you did “all 4”. I’ve heard there are 2 in the rear as well? Do you have a video or photos as to where the rear ones are?

@@kevinsmithey3254 Got the video. Thanks! Is the drain only on the one side or do you need to do both sides?
I have dropped the grommet when trying to put it back and can’t find it. Do you know where to get a replacement from?

Quiero esa explicación también en español.
I am sorry, I think you're asking if I can explain it in Spanish, but I am very bad at Spanish and I would probably confuse you more. Sorry!

Agreed! They really messed up in multiple ways on this drain design
Tha name tha peses
Nope, none of this, straightening the hose and going straight down. Work the best.
