I didn't hate Dean at all, but I think I'm going to enjoy having the old Chevelle back. Maybe they'll hold the bass player position open until my son is ready to join them.
I hope the Deftones are proud when they hear this, I hardly find a song that puts my mind on a plain like the Deftones can but this did! Melodic is KEY and brings emotions to the surface.
I'm a Deftones fan and I strongly concur with this statement, I love chevelle, but this is the one of their first songs I get a euphoria listening to this, it takes you out in the galaxy, back in time, to the future and in the moment at the same time. At the same time I get a nostalgic early-mid 2000s vibe, I wish Chevelle did more songs like this, and this song is underappreciated, in my opinion this is the best song off this album.
Long term deftones fan like linus days 93-94 and always liked chevelle but this song is to me like some of the newer deftones completely soul lifting I have heard it a number of times but when this song comes on my pandora I crank up my denon to 90db and just sit down on my couch and close my eyes for a spell!! It's so intoxicating it's hard to put into words....
Chevelle I don't what to say other than thank you for this song. The emotional vocals, layered atmosphere, and nostalgia for the past. I'm at a point right now where I'm trying to push forward in making a life for myself and I'm missing the old days so much, this song really conveys that feeling.

For me, Self Destructor had such a wonderfully chaotic Tool vibe to it. This one has the grungey melodic flair of Deftones strewn throughout. Yet at the same time, both are unique to Chevelle, and that’s what I continue to love about them!

I don't think I can't begin to properly explain how much I ADORE this song.. I'm soooo ready for this album. I think Pete and Sam will see that this album will be their best in YEARS. They have nothing to worry about in the sense of what the fans will think. They're worried about it flopping for fans, but this shit won't flop.
This song invokes deep emotion throughout the song. It tells me of a time when things were simple when we were young, when you had no sense of responsibility, but as an adult now, to not forget where you came from. Remember that when you're turned upside down and things get rough...to not overthink it and take things as they come and at your own pace. Don't lose grip of yourself and remember your core self. Don't drift away and get lost into the nothingness of it all, remember when....remember your youth! Remember to take care of yourself, mentally and physically.
As i listen to it i think back on my 1-2yrs after highschool... complete freedom... no reason to go to sleep at any time, do whatever ignorant thing me and my friends had in mind each night. Now im a father and life is different but the memories help me through rough spots

Chevelle might be the most underrated band of all time. Every album has at least 5 absolute BANGERS.. and no bad songs at all imo. The day they hang it up will be a very depressing and yet, at the same time, an amazing moment.

This song is amazing.
I still think back to when my friend got internet and we checked out this site called youtube. Naturally, the first word I ever typed in the search bar was "chevelle". Here I am tonight, almost 20 years later, as eager as I have ever been to hear their music, and loving every second.
I've listened to this song, i dunno, a shitload of times now. I get goosebumps every time. Last round had to play it through the house stereo. Much better. God I'm glad they're back.

I just came across this song yesterday and wow I feel like I’ve cheated myself but not listening to Chevelle this whole time, somehow this song gives me nostalgia even though it’s brand new to me
I don't think I can't begin to properly explain how much I ADORE this song.. I'm soooo ready for this album. I think Pete and Sam will see that this album will be their best in YEARS. They have nothing to worry about in the sense of what the fans will think. They're worried about it flopping for fans, but this shit won't flop.

This song invokes deep emotion throughout the song. It tells me of a time when things were simple when we were young, when you had no sense of responsibility, but as an adult now, to not forget where you came from. Remember that when you're turned upside down and things get rough...to not overthink it and take things as they come and at your own pace. Don't lose grip of yourself and remember your core self. Don't drift away and get lost into the nothingness of it all, remember when....remember your youth! Remember to take care of yourself, mentally and physically.
As i listen to it i think back on my 1-2yrs after highschool... complete freedom... no reason to go to sleep at any time, do whatever ignorant thing me and my friends had in mind each night. Now im a father and life is different but the memories help me through rough spots

Chevelle might be the most underrated band of all time. Every album has at least 5 absolute BANGERS.. and no bad songs at all imo. The day they hang it up will be a very depressing and yet, at the same time, an amazing moment.
