Wow... This brings me back memories of the time I was in school and I stopped in front of my Yamaha local dealer to watch the all new 2005 YZ 125 with aluminum frame... Daydreaming about it... I still have the magazine where it was in the cover page. I had two YZ later in my life... Nowadays I don't ride anymore but watching this makes me happy. They weren't completely forgotten and kids still learn shifting gears and can smell that 2 strokes oil. Thank you Yamaha for being part of my life.
@@yamaharacing I pulled the whole shot out of 33 bikes in my first Moto cross race on my 1976 Yamaha MX-125-C . I thought I was going to win the race.. but most everyone passed me. I weighed maybe 120 Pounds.. but I had done a lot of port work and I think it had more power than the other bikes.. I had a 1974 YZ-80-A .. I put a GYT Kit on it and did port work .. then later I put a second GYT Kit on a Yamaha GT-80.. I did far more port work to that bike .. and had it really screaming but only a 4 speed transmpission.. If I even hot the power band it would blow out the headlight .. Then all the Rivets in the flywheel sheared off.. so I put an internal rotor CDI off from a YZ-80-C on it .. it had stronger spark and accelrated way harder with a lighter flywheel .. I used washers to shim the clutch springs to make them stiffer..
Thanks a lot! No 250 class because these are all riders 16 years and under, and in Europe there is a bike capacity limit based on your age. But how cool would a 250cc 2-stroke class be! A little hard to manage in a world of 4-strokes, but we agree, as an adult 250cc 2-stroke is one of the most enjoyable motocross bikes in the world!
@@yamaharacing Crazy, I've never seen a company actually add their two cents in the comments, much less be so right in said comment... This just made my day! I agree! 👏🏼👏🏼👍🏼 (You deserve a raise.)
They’d be crazy not to. There’s way too much money to be made in selling a 2 stroke. I don’t get why Honda, Suzuki, and Kawasaki don’t start making them again. People still love them. Do you know how many people would buy a CR 250 in a heartbeat? They’d be sold out of the dealerships in a month if not less.
46 years ago at 17 i started racing 125....( 1975 )...41 years ago i was racing 125 & 500 class on Yamaha ..( 3rd year of Yamaha 125 & 465/490 YZ's ) and my first year going to Millville was 1982 ( we had White / Red Euro bikes while USA still had Yellow/Black bikes ) i live in Canada...cheers...this race brought back good memories and sounds of 2 Strokes i enjoyed for 15 years....
Every Manufacturer should do such a series to find the most talented riders in their amateur ranks, would be really interesting to see who will rise to the top then.
Pengin banget punya YZ tapi sayang tidak memungkinkan untuk punya hanya bisa mengagumi tanpa memeliki semoga suatu saat bisa punya, aminnn. I love YZ 125 🔥
This made us laugh. Did you know that he won MXoN on a YZ125? We will tell him to be quiet at the start so we can enjoy the sound of more than 30 YZ125s revving all at once ;-)
@@yamaharacing Tx for that ... haha .... you know by looking at the video I remember the brutal sound and vibes that the 2 strokes make , just makes me join the next races as a visitor and as a driver ..... keep it wide open
I stopped riding around 2004/2005, just as the 4 strokes were taking over, it’s soo nice to hear this! And a talented bunch of kids here. Last bike I had was an 04 yz125, was tuned up and had to run 50/50 avgas and optimax lol, can still remember the sweet smell of the exhaust smoke!
The blue bike with the blue rider is in the lead followed by the blue rider with the blue bike and the rest in blue followed,..😂😂😂,.. but this is great,..!
No more KTM and no more Green team. Lets Go Yahama the only Japanese manufacturer that still produces two strokes. Best thing of all Yamaha Captured all 250 sx championships and 450 Motocross Championship. They are really on to something especially Ferrandis, Cooper, and Nichols their mechanics and team Respectfully.
Oh yeah! That start. As Seann Williams Scott said in Road Trip "hit the lights. It's boner time!" Hahaha! It brings back memories from the good old Supercross days.

Goose bumps hearing that sweet sound of 2 stroke of the start gate...its how motocross should sound ❤
Yessir! 🤙
Most definitely !
And then there's the smell of them all at full throttle 💨😊😋😎
Glorious 😇
@@OldestYoungenInGuidePost god yeah heaven in an nutshell..the smell of a full blown 80's meet thank god for those memories ❤
Yup 2 stroke all the way! Nothing beats the power delivery and sound of them hanging through gears hitting power bands. 💀🤙💀
This is brilliant. Need more races like this.
All skill.
Working on it ;-) Thanks for watching & supporting!
Yes but of all the top race bike makers like Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, gasgas, ktm, husqvarna etc...
How fast! 😆👉🏁
Please don't stop the production of the 2stroke.
I love YZ!💕
Awesome class and great idea, all,one bike keeping 2t and Yamaha YZs alive for good of MX, great racing, 🤘🏆
Wooo! You're a legend! Thanks for this comment #YamahaFamily

This class is such a badass concept. Kudos to Yamaha for sure!
This is great and I know who will be on that team soon
The TRUE sound of motocross. Man I miss it.
this is wicked , hopefully yamaha keep upgrading their 125 every year from now on, theres a good market for it
Some yellow/black or even red/white would be way cool.
yeah you said it, and 2 strokes are on a comeback for some reason love it loooove it

The sound of that gate drop 💙
I just got a 2021 YZ125X, my favorite bike I've ever owned. Thank you for still making these awesome machines.
It's great seeing and hearing two strokes racing.
the sweet sound of proper MX Machines !
Agreed!
thanks Yamaha for this ,bring back 250 and 500cc two strokes and i will be in heaven
...I love watch the 500cc races from the mid to late 80s.....HRC RC500, the YZM500, RH500, KTM
taking off the goggles and going back to the handles before landing is insane. Good race dude!!
Coisa mais linda esse ronco de 2t faz parte da evolução as motos 4t, mas q da uma baita saudades das 2t da, era muito mais divertido
I absolutely loved this video, my name shows that.
Liked very much Yamaha yz racing guy's thanks for coverage👍
Came for the sound and stayed for the racing. If only I could smell it I would be complete
Love the production quality and skill. My hat is off to the huge airtime and intense competition. I'm new to the channel and joining the community.
Good to have you with us!
Pretty sure a yz125 won Haha this was an awesome idea long live the 2 smoke
Amazing racing all around. Thanks for putting this event on Yamaha.
We need this in the U.S. !!!
Awe man this is gold! True racing is 2 strokes!
That gate jumper 😂😂😂
Every Manufacturer should do such a series to find the most talented riders in their amateur ranks, would be really interesting to see who will rise to the top then.
Great Job Yamaha.

Very Awesome Race. I could even smell the Mix..
I can’t wait to get off work tonight and watch this on my television. Heck yes Yamaha!
Yessir..bout to go fire up my 05 yz125 and hit the lakebed..love the sound, feel of a powerband and klotz racing oil burning..nothin like a 2 smoke
Did I die and go to heaven! This is brilliant
Yamaha swept the race!!
This is what we are missing in the US!! We need a 125 class for the Nationals!!

From Indonesia🙏🏻
Pengin banget punya YZ tapi sayang tidak memungkinkan untuk punya hanya bisa mengagumi tanpa memeliki semoga suatu saat bisa punya, aminnn. I love YZ 125 🔥
I still watching sir and full support this video. God bless all riders...
I like the commentator but 10 sec befor and after the start he should remain silence , for just to listen at the true mx Bikes

Is this what heaven sounds like?? 😍
This event is so sick! Love the 2 strokes
Lindo de se ver e ouvir esse barulho das 2 tempos, principalmente das 125cc top demais.
Blue for life!! Love it, love it 🤘
love the scream of a good ole one two five, you really cant beat it
Mmmmmmmmm imagine standing behind those bikes when they start up 😶🌫️🤤

Mm yammy yammy all those Yamahas 😍💙💙💙
Insane so much difference there is between these youngsters
Can we get Craig dack to bring this to the Manjimup 15000?
👍🥔🇦🇺
Blue Bees on track 🐝🐝🐝
Love this type of racing. Don't know much about the event though.
Are all the bikes the same or can teams build their own motors?
Love to hear the gate drop roar 2 stroke or 4 stroke. Both are a wonderful sound
THIS IS SICK💙
The blue bike with the blue rider is in the lead followed by the blue rider with the blue bike and the rest in blue followed,..😂😂😂,.. but this is great,..!
Im from Indonesia😘😘
Reminds me of Saddleback 1980s ROC's. All winners on same bike. All stock.
I bet that the fella riding the yamaha wins
This is nice, 4 strokes are just not as exciting to watch as 2 strokes
Good to see the Blue army fighting back against the orange.. Brilliant racing!!!
That looks so fun
What a great track
amazing!!!!
Mantap yamaha race super cross
The fantastic two stroke YAMAHA.........
Not sure we ever needed four strokes after watching this. Flying on them 2 smokes!
💙Love it
man that track looks awesome
I would love to do this👍 sick event
Amazing!
8:27 that sound your suspension makes when it hits rock bottom ! Listen carefully
This is fucking EPICCC!!!!!!

Cooper only good if he gets the holeshot he cant come thru the pack like Ferrandis or anyone for that fact
18:52 thats one hellova rut change lol

The gate drop had me not soft
Amazing how fast these kids are going.im at work and volume is down.how are the lap times and are these all 22 model bikes or a mixture of years
These are 2021’s
Kawasaki Honda suzuki bring back the two strokes,
ahhh sounds like the 90s
Nice video
C'mon AMA
I wanna see herlings ride a 125
Yeah, imagine him on a YZ125! We also dream of that day ;-)
The 125 cant keep up with Herlings lol
Hope mxgp and all other brand get back on the prime tv show 125
Isso e um sonho ...
Was contemplating what 125 to go with no anymore🤝
Yamaha respect from Russia
Good lawd I miss that sound in motocross.
I knew that dude on a Yamaha was going to win.
😀
Fortissimo
2 stroke forever
Then the parents would be like, oh who your kid, mines the one on the blue bike and blue gear
muito top
Yamaha semakin di depan
From a track riders perspective I'm guessing this is kinda like the equivalent of the KTM Rookies Cup
Had ot been about 4 strokes I wouldent have stayed through the intro.
2stroke sound💯
YAMAHA gives great opportunities to young stars!
What is the title of music before the race?
Imagine yamaha made a modern 500cc 2 stroke , they would sell out and there’s definitely a market for it
Are these bikes stock with no modifications?
