Considering that 2860M where I work as a groundskeeper. I’m in Va so we don’t get much snow, but it would be doing a lot of grading, mowing, mulch, hauling, running an auger, bush hog, and plowing snow when we get it.
Hi JB, this has been one of the best pieces of equipment that I have ever used for its all-around versatility for my business. It will handle pretty much everything you can through at it and the 60 HP gives it a big power advantage out of a so-called compact tractor. For me it was a great choice, if you get a chance try one out. Thanks for the comment and stopping by , Happy new Year. RR
@@rustyrods8535 I’m glad to hear that! We currently have an open station 01 Kubota M6800 with the pin on system, and an 18 JD 5075e cab. Not super high hours, but the pin on system is so outdated on the kubota, and JD has their own hook up system to make a monopoly off of attachments. I also don’t like the transmission in it, and we’ve had to replace transmission sensors in it many times. Going along and all the sudden it goes into neutral and won’t continue until the sensor is replaced. 75 hp is also a little big for what we need. My goal is to trade in both tractors for the 2860 with a batwing finishing mower. I think it’s the perfect size, weight and power for our needs. The cab is great in our hot summers! Happy new year to you as well! Nice equipment and great video!
Nice tractor. Looks like you'll be able to keep up with the storms. I downsized a lot a few years ago. The work looks great and plenty of room. Hopefully, we'll get plenty of snow this year! Cheers bud!
Thanks, I’ve been going through all my stuff ( junk ) saved over the years and put out free things out by the road which gives me more room . The switch to tractors will keep me at a competitive edge , plus I like being different. Hope you have a great season also …think snow ❄❄❄ ⛄
The free sign works real good here. Last time they even took the sign. LOL! Went down to get the sign and they rode by, I was laughing where's my sign? They just rode by saying thanks for the whackers! Had snow in the forecast for Friday. Gone now. Last clean up in Bethlehem tomorrow. 🥶
@@popup1959 I know that’s crazy I lost my free sign twice , on my new sign I put everything beside the sign is free but the sign isn’t but if you want the sign call me for the price . I was working in the shop yesterday and a guy stopped in to see what day I was putting out more free stuff ….lol . Have a good one , rain instead of snow this weekend….still early. Shawn
I used to run a plow, several years ago. I enjoyed it and did pretty well. I changed jobs and I now run a plow or skid loader for the company I work for. I definitely think they would benefit from eather of those. Congrats on the purchase and figuring out where you wanna be in life.!!!!! Catch ya later …. Joe
Thanks Joe , I’m not quite sure I’ll ever know where I what to be in life….lol , I’ve had good luck using my trucks and v-plows over the years . I always wanted to be one step ahead of my competition , I bet I’ve got them scratching theirs head again . Skid loaders work great especially if they have snow tracks …yup I like them all . Shawn
Thank you , it is so much easier to get the work done with good tools and equipment. When I 1st started my business many years ago my equipment wasn’t always the best , but I kept everything running and slowly I kept upgrading. Shawn
Hi Shawn, congratulations for slowing down and speeding up, ha ha, that's a really nice garage, yes to bad the door wasn't a little bigger but with the roof you are maxed out, you should be pushing snow around soon, those are a couple of nice looking machines, and some pretty good room in the shop, did you say expensive pickup, do you know this guy named Mike, lol, great update, always enjoy your videos, see you soon buddy, have a great day
Mike , I did say expensive pickup….but I’ve decided not to spend that kinda money on a beautiful looking truck and start pounding it with salt and eventually watching it rust to nothing , I will be looking for a new truck hopefully next year and I will do my best to keep it out of the winter weather . I am very fortunate to have this shop and count my blessings each day . I think the tractors are the best choice moving forward for my business, plus I like not doing what everyone else is doing . Have a great week . Shawn
@@rustyrods8535 tried to lift a ton of wood pellets with our 2860m. It wouldn’t budge it. 2450 is to the pivot pin I believe. Just wondering if we should trade our 2860 for a 4707 or see if there is an adjustment on the relief valve that the dealer could do.
Wow Rus, You have a 4700 series too that's really awesome. A few seasons ago I ran a 6110 deere john w a wide snow collector blade on the front & a blade on the back w adjustable wings remotely controlled in the town of Colonie that's in albany County. I live in Rensselaer County out in beautiful farm land. Anyway, I hated running that deere john it had sucky controls on it and it was a woff woff a dog . I tried talking the power into buying a superior tractor A MASSEY FERGUSON 4710 but you can't convince some people what is a superior tractor. I admire your company and your choice in what a real machine is. Anyway, have fun Rus. Mike C.
@rustyrods8535 thanks for the reply, I have a 9ftx16ft door. I'm doing local snow removal with my tractor so I'm looking for a larger one (with a cab this time) for the future
@@jackofall2305 You have snow I’m so envious…lol , this has been the slowest snow and income year I’ve had ever and that’s over the last 35 plus years . I use the 2860 for most of my driveways with an 8ft pusher rubber cutting edge , it cuts down the amount of time in each driveway considerably and can get in spots my 4707 has trouble with. Shawn RR

@@rustyrods8535 yes on everything my friend
I can't keep up with the equipment rotations. Looking forward to some good snow plowing vids!
You can’t , you should be me …lol . There shouldn’t be many more changes from here on out .
What’s the heaviest load you’ve lifted with the 2860m? Specifically with pallet forks.
1500 pounds . I believe it is rated for 2450 . I have the 4707 that handles most of my heavier lifts .

I have the 2850 and love it. Looking at getting a front hydraulic blade for it (in place of my truck plow).
Thats great to hear, they definitely make a great product.

The 4707 fits in a 8ft door?
No it will go through a 9ft door , the 2860 can go through an 8ft door but you have to be careful.
