The matte vs shiny thread is one of those things that you as the artist will really notice but that we as the consumer will not. I think you should go for it

Plus Madeira clearly does not care about customer retention. Their service doesn’t work for Baylee and they refuse to do anything about it. It would be better to move on.

Baylee, it’s great you got the air purifier, but don’t forget to give that thing room to breath. I don’t know if it came with placement directions, but it looks like the intake is on the front and the air blows out the top; which is usual. This means you are limiting it by placing it under the desk, especially less than two feet below something. They work best up against a wall, but at least need a few feet above the fan to circulate air. That’s how they move all the lint and dust particles around the room and clean the air. If you could either side wall in front of the embroidery machines might work or the opposite wall. If needed, on top of the desk would actually be better than under the desk. If there is no other location move it out from under the desk and just have it next to the desk; and if possible put a flat board or something on that side of the desk to help push air flow up like a short wall.
Think of it like your filming lights. If you attach one under the desk facing towards the underside of the desk it’s lighting will be very limited. Whereas if you place it in an open area on the wall or on the desk against the wall it will bounce light off multiple surfaces and light the room rather than a small piece of the room.
Also, might want to check the computers’ fans too and see about lint in there so you don’t get into any tech issues.

    - The Luna Moth note pad looks great, I like the darker color page.
    - I honestly don't mind the new thread, personally the shine doesn't bother me. Maybe running more samples would give you a better idea of how they'll perform.
    - Have you ever thought of getting a basic tablet or an old phone to manage all of your smart devices? That would free up space on your phone and give you a centralized location for your home devices. It doesn't even need a phone plan, you can just use WiFi.
    - The warehouse organization looks good, and your villain laugh when you found the packed clutches was too funny. 😂😂

I say go for the new thread.
Maybe the thread was more shiny cause it was stitched tighter?

Honestly, the average consumer doesn’t care about sheen vs matte thread.
And remember, your preference isn’t necessarily the same as everyone else!
I really like the sheen, it gives it a nice dimension. My opinion is the matte one looks flat and a bit dull in comparison but it might be different in real life 🤷🏻‍♀️

Not sure if its available in you country, but in all my commercial embroidery jobs, we've always sworn by KingStar threads. the colour selection is amazing. On my personal embroidery machine, the Madiera threads caused problems, but the KingStar threads ran wonderfully.
Additionally, after accidentally snipping too many garments removing the backing fabric, I found that you can hold the edge of the embroidery, and tear the backing off... even the "Cutaway" ones. I just support the edge of the embroidery as I tear. I've not lost another garment to stabilizer removal.

I know you don’t need to be told this, but I’ve recently reminded myself that as an artist, we shouldn’t be too hard on ourselves when we change things up from the references. We’re artists, not copiers. We’re allowed some artistic freedom, even if it was accidental. 😅
And in reality, most people won’t see the reference side by side. So what do they know. 😊

I personally enjoy the shiny thread, I don't think it looks cheap or weird, rather it does give the design more dimension! Others mentioned this but I definitely agree that it's probably what you're seeing as the artist yourself vs what a consumer is going to see. I don't think consumers are really going to care all that much over if the thread is slightly more shiny vs if it's matte as long as they have a good quality product from you!

You need a needle threader. It’s a little gadget, small like a seam ripper, and should be easy to find at any sewing shop. It just has a loop of thin wire that you just put through the needle hole, lay the tread in, pull it back through and the thread goes through easily.
