Andrew, I am a medical student almost at the end of my pregraduate studies, I have always enjoyed physics so much, and I have followed your channel for years now, thanks so much for your content, and keep inspiring people, blessings!
it was funny to see you do a science olympiad topic hahaha. next week saturday i’m competing in the state tournament for michigan on the grand haven team so this was fun to watch
The day you finish learning string theory, you'll go from being Andrew Dotson to being Andrew Stringson :D Lol and I'm sure you're sick of all the comments asking you where the string theory livestreams are
You are finished now? Keep up the studying. I know I need to do more of that. Physics student from the great territory of Oregon, here. I got rejected from some internships also. I guess they don't want me in the Labor Force. More Physics studying 😂😂
Andrew, im in high school, I recently got a very bad grade on a math test, which is a subject I usually get the max score. What are your recommendations to deal with a bad grade, especially in one of your favourite subjects? I would really appreciate your help. Keep up the good content, I learn a lot from your videos. Thanks
If you love the subject, and normally do well, then don’t stress about it. Everyone gets results in their life that they wish were better, one of the hardest things is learning that it doesn’t define you or matter (within reason). So make sure you look over which topics you struggled with and use it as a learning experience to keep getting better.
just practice more, there's no other way to get better at math. If it's a topic like Linear algebra then try understanding the geometric meaning of things as well so that you can develop a sort of intuition about what actually is happening. Makes the number jumble much more easier to handle.

Done with Calc 4… beginning to understand some of the fancy physics talk… beginning
wtf is calc 4? Vector calc?
@@lacku2677 Probably differential equations
@@zerefhabibah1743 Ohhh I see. I don't really see anyone calling that calc 4
@@lacku2677 lol calc-1000,000 is differential geometry and calc-infinity is tensor calculus on infinite dimensional orbifolds
wish i would have seen this live earlier. thanks either way. great mind.
Yoooo, I’ve never heard of these before but LOVE their application. Definitely gonna start using them more
Also love the little breaks and Q+A between problems!
Do them on long car rides for bonus points
hi Andrew can you do another Q&A with Kelly

I’m going to study physics (undergrad) at uni in September, thank you for inspiring me!
What was the purpose of copying the top comment lol?
@@theanalyticalphilosophytut7704 I was lazy and wanted to say the same thing AND i am actually going to uni in september.
Reminded me of a Guesstimation talk I got at Jefferson Lab
I mention that later in the livestream. That speaker was my former professor!
I must say, I’m very much an enjoyer of that approximation of pi 🕵️♀️
16:53 100 inches/foot? lol
I'm notoriously bad at factors of 10 when I'm talking and writing lol
You are finished now? Keep up the studying. I know I need to do more of that.

Hello fellow physics student from Oregon!
@@Ohmau33 You are here in Oregon? What college and what year?
Should we team up?
@@chancesire First year at OSU
@@Ohmau33 Great! I will see you next year, maybe. If I stay with OSU instead of UofO.
Can you please post some sort of message that a stream is going to take place so we can also be a part of it ?
Absolutely, when they’re planned! This one admittedly was ad hoc to buy myself more time for a video I’m working on!
@@AndrewDotsonvideos yes, some announcement please! I enjoy the streams.
It was painful to see you use imperial units, especially when you had to mix them with rational (SI) units. It was still a lot of fun though.
This was fun! Great video!

what concepts were you not doing well with? I would review those

@@harshsharma03 Great advice, but I doubt that high schoolers take Linear Algebra...for me, at least, it was offered in undergrad.
@@theanalyticalphilosophytut7704 I guess it's different in different places. I had to take it in India. I also have it for my undergrad right now.
feet and pounds ?! what are those
The Breakfast of Champions: Basement Dust!
Shit I missed the video notification! Next time we should do chat VS you. Hope you're doing well mate
Good idea! and likewise!
