The Interpolator-class cruiser is designed to strike a middle ground between combat efficiency, and aesthetics. With overwhelming firepower in mind, the Interpolator was conceived after it was found that the *Interloper*-class Cruiser didn't have enough fuel capacity. It was cut in half and a new midsection was interpolated in, hence it's name.
