I don't get why everyone's being so hard on her about her fulcrum. It's perfectly fine. Yeah her pointer finger is a little to far out but haven't you been taught or heard of a three finger fulcrum? She's playing on drum pad, and almost all of the videos that are posted on this channel are drum set videos. So anything about marching band is irrelevant. On a drum set you can use either a two or three finger fulcrum, it doesn't mater which on you use because that's based on preference. Yes in marching band, while being on the battery you use the two finger fulcrum. If you are a mallet player tho, and playing a pitched percussion instrument, you will more likely to be using the three finger fulcrum. There's also no set thumb angel when playing on drum set. The "French", "German", and "American" thumb placement and wrist rotation is more important when playing pitched percussion, concert snare, or any of the marching drums.
If seeing how she's playing makes you cringe, or makes you feeling like you need to tell her she sucks and she's wrong, then I guess you've never been fully taught how to hold sticks whilst playing a percussion.
Luck Of Nightmare finally a nigga who knows what he is talking about
Aren't they supposed to be divided into UPSTROKES and TAPS???
A grip is only wrong if you’re not getting enough rebound or if you’re feeling pain when playing. The grip that works for me does not have to work for others and vice versa.
Great comment, I'm learning and you've just cleared some questions I had. Well explained.
Her doubles sound amazing
Its really funny I must admit I do not know much about rudiments but after watching this I realized I actually play a lot of these and never realized it......until now.....
20 yrs of playing, never had a lesson. Found rudiments in books without instruction in 2002 with black n white still photos to be boring.. but I finally get it now.will b ed practicing hardcore
Thank you so much, highly helpfull for growing as drummer 🤩
Just found this video.... it’s exactly what I’ve been looking for! Thank you!🙌🥁🙌
What a wonderful reference video. Efficient and accurate. Thank you.
Thank you for posting time stamps! This is a great video.
Glad you liked it. Thanks for watching and let us know what videos you would like to see more
Great video thanks!
Great video! I Was able to utilize to help develop my skills, Thank you!
Really helpful, many thanks .😊👍
Fantastic video.
Well done. I'm saving this vid and going to revisit all the rudiments. I haven't practiced these for yrs. Hey dont worry about the grip police. I'm guessing if you had no arms and played them like you did here with your feet , they would say differently. Good job.
Wonderful
I like this video better than any other rudiments one.
thank you. its perfect. savad
wow! glad u liked e video. do subscribe!
Gracias
Eita pegaaaa toop lembra-se bateras unidos jamais serão vencidos 🥁👍
Terimakasih tutorialnya kakak 🙏👍
Nice video!
Awesome job! I know maybe 5 of them. It's a lot of work to perform any of them effortlessly. Especially at different tempo's
Super
You learn YOUR fulcrum and you keep playing. You find how to make the stick dance.
I think all of us have been here. Seems very goofy at first, it gets way harder. Get a friend and do it together for the rest of our lives.
There’s 2 types of fulcrum , one with your pointer(the newer version) and where u use the middle finger , it’s completely normal
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I had just tried to sight-read the notes but I'm curious, what is the meaning of horizontal lines across the eight note? Btw, what a great video! Thanks a lot to you. I learned about these rudiments.
From a 4-year church drummer.
Thanks for the reply! It’s to tell you which part of the drum to hit. The different places across those horizontal lines will determine different drum. ◡̈ hope it helps.
👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏
Would you tell me where did you get the pad to practice? Thank you for the video I ready liked it...EZ.
This pad came along with the Drumnometer.
Her grip is fine. Period. Pozdro666
👍👍👍👍👍🙏✌️
I scrolled down to the comments to see if everyone was as impressed as me...... got disappointed instead.
26 was back in the day. I downloaded a daily exercise that contains 37 rudiments
Hello! Can you give an advice🙏🇺🇦💙💛
Is this drum is ok for my 3-year old son? To start to play ?🥁
sure. It's a practice pad for any age.
@@MyDrumSchool thank you for your answer🙏🙏🙏🥁👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️
👀
Can you provide in pdf?
I think the young lady is fine. I have never heard of a double drag paradiddle, though. Is this something new?
5:13
Getting born in the state of Mississippi
Papa was a copper, and her mama was a hippy...
Is she letting the sticks bounce??
Look easy but hard for beginner
It’s easy when you start slow. You can do it!
Show... é só estudar..
4:30
Please tap the stick slow that we know how to band
if its not slow enough, i recommend slowing down the video to the speed you want it to be at:)
Why a remo pad tho
Remo is the best imo
Steezy boi008 no it’s pillow
I don't understand Like Rl. lR
Aren't they supposed to be divided into UPSTROKES and TAPS???
You are so cute nd I really like u dear
Better Like her playing and think what u can learn from her

face...
The seven stroke roll should always start with the left hand.
Why limit yourself? It's the best way to build ambidextrous, whether playing instruments, learning martial arts or practically anything for that matter. [Think outside the box], good luck.
Just listen to the rudiments coz this video is regarding ONLY that... All experts who are so perfect please can you make a video and post it before feeling so comfortable complaining.
This girl has done a great job... Appreciated and respected.
I agree. She did a commendable job. Compared to some other vids I have seen this is head and shoulders above. Great for folks wanting to see what the rudiments are. My background is rudimental drumming and traditionally there are some differences to what she played BUT way better than someone hacking away professing to be some sort of expert. Nicely done. Good job!
It is sad to see so many adults quick to criticize a young person performing various rudiments. I suppose it is irrelevant. She will continue to develop her talent for her craft and these unhappy people will continue to develop there talent for bashing Grade 4 Technical Work.
I like what you are doing and I appreciate your willingness to share (which is something that unfortunately many people don´t have...) . Feedback is good as long as it doesn´t get into something discouraging. Do not get discouraged because of some of the previous comments. Just keep it up! Good job!
People complaining about her grip when I bet they can't do half of these rudiments as well as her. lmao chill out
Wanna bet
@@peterstenberg3812 Sure, film yourself playing them and post it big boy.
grip isnt really important if u can feel comfortable and u can do everything without any problem
@Apex Mind isn’t part of a teachers group to criticize?
She's executing the rudiments perfectly! All you experts that think to the contrary, post your videos to let us decide.
As long as the rudiments sound the way they should & hers do it shouldn't really matter.Just wish I spent more time doing these.
Wow this video was helpful! Thanks👍👍👍
Thanks..good lesson..easy to understand..no b.s.
Drumline players and their narrow-minded comments...geez
gracias por compartir el vídeo!!
I do enjoy a good flamadiddle :) . Rudiments sounded fine to me.
I can't do paradiddlediddles but thank goodness I know all the rolls up to 15 strokes thanks to this video! I can't imagine how a 16 or 17 stroke roll is done
don't listen to these fools, your a young drummer on a great start, keep up the practice and you'll dust their critical butts into oblivion
Yeah just make sure for your taps keep them low, especially when it gets to the faster tempos
Nice
Muito Bom, queria saber tocar bateria igual a você. Bjs Léo
The practice pad looks nice
excellent c'est la base de la percussion
I want those drumsticks
I love this video I just want to know why in this video and on the vic firth rudiment chart do they have lesson 25, but it's not rudiment number 25?
deberian subir la partitura para poder mirarla, mientras se practica
Hi Nice Stroke!!! What made you youtube?
What kind of vic firth sticks you're using? Looks like it got an orange coating on it. Btw, what's the pad's model?
Muy bueno :D
What is the software you use to display the notation ?
The flams sound almost like heretas
Try alternate(begin with left) them now! And see how efficient your stick holding will prove to be
Wich is the name of this pad?
Next video Rudimental Ritual XD
#18 is such a drag..
Excellent Little training video, simple and straightforward
Hey where can I get that same pad and this same sticks
Not sure about the pad, but the sticks are Dave Weckl signature sticks for sure.
Ken Hunter
pad: remo.com/products/product/practice-pad/
Where can I get that Remo pad
Needs more cowbell. Haha.
What drum model?
graet
Whats the name of the practice pad, it'll be much appreciated if someone replies.
Remo
It's made by remo, don't see them on the shelf very often.
Q saco
What is this instrument?
It is a practice drum pad- you can use it in an apartment or traveling etc when you can't use a drum kit due to noise or it isn't convenient. I fly globally a lot for work almost every month and I like to be able to bring some with me so if I have down time it is good for a distraction and good practice.
What is the name of this instrument?
sannacunsumat guitar ........
sannacunsumat It's a drumming practice pad
AZERDOK Norris munnezza
wmgreen thank you
sannacunsumat it's a tuba
she’s using a technique not sure what it’s called but it used to get the best sound quality
What happen to Swiss army triplet? Or inverted flam taps
Hey guys - where are your manners! I don´t understand all the complaints about her grip. Her thumbs are a bit too close to her index finger; other than that it looks really nice. Keep on rocking girl!
She´s in between french and german. For this open handed grip she should widen it to full german. Other than that it´s very relaxed and very close to Weckl´s current grip. I´m not a rudimental drummer and her grip might be lacking as such, but as far as the drum set goes this works nicely.
I don't think I've ever seen sticks be held worse than this
Gideon Johnston ifkr it's annoying
Gideon Johnston Exactly I thought I was the only one. Its so ugghh and seeing someone play like that is annoying
chris clark I mean tbh if it works it works I'm all about being yourself and showing creativity but it's just kind of strange
Gideon Johnston I mean how she's holding them would typically be for a set. Holding them like that on a snare just makes things harder
Nothing wrong with this grip. Dave Weckl would say "that´s pretty damn good".
Mano . tomar no cu. Essa mina toca demais
Practicing while sitting isn't the best idea either... 👀
Most kit players sit, the only drummers that don't sit, MARCH
You should only sit if your practicing set but other than stand cause that’s how your gonna play
McFlurry McMurray does it matter? Stop being nit picky about the littlest shit.
im sure if this were a guy people wouldnt be criticizing literally every single detail lol why so typical
So typical to think criticism towards a woman is solely because she's a woman. EVERYONE gets criticized for EVERYTHING.
The “performance speed” seems really slow in my opinion
Tus rudimentos están mal tocados, no tienen técnica
Daniel Rodríguez Explícame porqué, ya que no se distinguirlo. Llevo muchos años tocando y me parece un buen video didáctico.
The stuff is so basic
