@Greg Douglass Only thing that is real is The two displays showing gears, pedals, steering wheel, and gear shifter, handbrake. Everything else is on the Acer monitors using the bezel-free kit

That's how you get a sense of speed in a sim. I want. My bank account says no way (as does my gf).

VR is 500$ and it runs circle around a monitor setup like that...cause this is still pancake 2d it looks cool because of the camera angle he's filming in but there e is still no perspective and sense of speed on that thing.
If you let your gf decide how you spend your own money you will be forever miserable.

You can start by getting :
3 32" FHD Monitors
A Fanatec or Logitech steering wheel kit
A Racing Chair with Racing Belts (for better immersion)
A Cockpit support ( For placing Wheel, Clutch and Pedals )
A tablet for +informations about race, laps, car status etc...
And some racing gloves
Depending where you live, it won't cost too much. I made my rig with $2100 (Not including my PC)
You can also pick a VR Headset instead of getting 3 monitors, it will give you a better immersion.

There is nothing in the setup that's not easy to find. All standard in the community. Just Dell monitors with bevel removed and some Fanatec gear.

@@DigiProst Umm..vale...lo utilice pero me parecían demasiadas anguladas las pantallas y mirando tus videos me parecían muchos menos anguladas las tuya..la prospectiva de la camera me engaño :P

Cool but in real life you dont sit as far away and cant see all the things like here without turning your head. So the FOV is wrong so to say, but technically its interesting.

@@Ibwatch550 it's the same graphics. If you mean the screens, I would have agreed with you, (oculus, vive) but with advent of the valve index it's simply not true. You can't really even see the screen anymore. Thus screen racing simulators are simply less immersive no matter what you do. There is nothing more immersive than actually being inside the car in full 3d.
Disagree, in some ways vr is more immersive, however it is lacking in peripheral sense of speed such as trees and walls going by. Also you cant look around with just your eyes such as in real life.
I have tried both and they are both great. I prefer to race with a race car helmet on which is hard to do with a vr headset.

Agree 100%. I had ACC first and and went and got AC cause of the steam sales. the first one runs so much better..yes i understand its nto a gfx equal. I think they went for a more polished look..and for me anyways i dont care what the trees look like doing 300mph lol
@@robertodebandito6809 ACC runs on Unreal Engine 4, that's why. Nothing more to it so no need to complicate things for yourself.

The bezel free kit really is only for external viewers, not for the driver. When driving, you don’t realize the monitor bezels are all, the brain just „overlooks“ them.
