See if the front Pulley has ever been removed for a seal replacement. There's a mark on the Pulley that needs to match the mark on crank end to sync Pulley weight to crank weights
Can the same adjustments be made to a D1005? I have a 7.5kw genset with a D1005. If I only need 3 or 4 kw from the generator, can I turn the fuel down some and then set the rpm back to 1800 to get better fuel economy? Thanks!
generator is fine in the rain lol been running like that for years, everything is sealed , those are very good engines , but I will say this, that engine setting in the snow and rain will somehow pull in water and freeze up and crack the block, had antifreeze in it but somehow the blocked got cracked fired it up one day all the water was in the oil
Very much so. The D722 is a Z482 with a third cylinder basically. They share the same pistons, connecting rods, injectors, main bearings, rod bearings, and a few others. Throttle plates will swap between each model and rpm adjustment is the same process.
There's 2 cams. One for the pushrods/Valves and one for the fuel Injection pump. The camshaft for the Injection pump has an eccentric gear that operates the mechanical fuel lift pump. The fuel Injection camshaft is also slotted on the end on some Z482 applications that you can drive an hourmeter or raw water pump for marinized versions like Beta Marine Diesels.
Just want to stop by and say thank you for posting this... I appreciate the time you took out of your day to do this.
thanks a million! just what I needed. God bless!
hey no problem buddy anytime
nice video, thanks for the info
got one of theese engines in a front loader. your's seems to run much more smoothly than mine though. mine shakes all over the place.
really? like running rough or out of balance ?

What rpm is your engine turning to make 60 cycles…?

Is This the z482 Form 2003?
Is this kubota z482 quite right??
I have that same Kabota engine going to make a small generator with mine also, by the way water and electric don't mix too well

Is this a similar set up to the Kubota D722?

could you explain the wiring
Do these engines have camshafts?
yes
@@MattsMadnessOfficial Thanks i don't know much about engines that size as they're not very common.

what bearings did you get foe that genarator?
timken bearings dont remember the part number would have to look
