    My tires go low a lot, especially in cold weather so I bought my own tire machine that plugs into the cigarette lighter outlet. They probably make other outlet types that would be perfect for your van, paired with an extension cord. Those tire fill up stations are the worst, usually don't work very well or out of service. Being able to fill up tire pressure anywhere and anytime is so nice.

    Depending on how much you are going off road you might look at getting a four tire pressure regulator so you can uniformly lower or raise your tire pressure. Lower the pressure for soft sand/gravel and raise your pressure when you are back on hard surfaces. I don't know what the compressor and hose system cost but I have seen Chad with Living the Van Life use one. Fred in Texas

    My favorite new channel. Just a suggestion. On the road always keep 4 things. A portable air pump. Why? The gas you waste looking for a compressor gets wasted. Second , fix a flat. Not recommended but in the desert anything helps. Next bear spray. When you are hiking or cooking at night you never know what will jump at the smell of that great food you cook. And an emergency 2 way radio in case you have no cell service. Keep posting, we all love it. 👍❤️

    What a majestic view to wake up to and the night. Loved your experience with the blue rock candy. Now my grandson age 15 years old wants to make some. Ohhh the sugar. I am so much like you with bread. Try sough dough a bit denser also for your sandwiches and will hold it together. Hopefully we get a chance to see you in Maryland where I live above Baltimore. Safe journey’s and finding great food that is healthy. You will do it.

    Great video as always! Enjoying this series. You need lights on the side of your van. Don't know how soon you'll be upgrading to a 4x4 one, but something to consider when you can. Glad you fixed your heater. The other thing you should consider as well is a true AC for it. That meal looked great. Add that to your cookbook.

    Also when it comes to tire pressure let's say it's 40f at night and 60f daytime. That's a loss of 2psi from temperature swings(1psi per 10f). Try to fill at night or early in the morning. If you fill after driving you need to account for tire temperature. For example let's say your cold rear inflation temperature is 80psi, daytime after driving you should fill them to around 84psi maybe even 86psi. 20 degrees of temp swing plus them being hot from driving will put your morning cold more then likely at 78-80psi. Just a little tip to keep you from constantly adjusting pressure. When you go into warmer climates or spring keep a eye on this cold temperature psi you might need to let some air out as it gets warmer.

  • @bee-anca236
    @bee-anca236 2 роки тому

    Oh I had to order that travel tire air inflator since my tires always deflate in the winter. Def a good recommendation. (They have ones you set and can leave so you don’t have to wait in the cold to inflate them). Because I swear gas stations never have air anymore.

  • @RobToGame
    @RobToGame Рік тому

    Grab yourself a little air compressor for pumping up tires. They have ones that plug into your cigarette lighter port. Great to keep in the car for the just in case. You can also air down a little bit for more traction and then pump back up when you hit the main road.

    I feel you with getting stuck I almost did at a campground of all places in the grass after it rained. When these tires the van has are worn out I'm probably putting bfg ko2's on it to help a little from that happening.

    Go to home depot buy yourself the craftsman portable plastic air compressor it can work off their batteries or 110v. It will be the best van life decision you've made. I've had mine for a while and it holds up to truck tire pressures of 80psi in the rear. I've had two before this that literally started smoking while airing. Lol
