Very impressive bit of cutting. Although I’ve had my SnC for a couple of years now I’ve never tried to cut-out so much at one pass. I think I need to have a go at this! Thank you for the demo x

Hi Ashley, The problem I have is when I scan it then it doesn't recognise some images so I have to go around each one and draw in the lines. Does putting that little margin around the image avoid that please? Thank you. Hugs xxx
The machine can only recognise a line, so its looking for a continuous line, if you haven't stamped the image properly or if there are broken lines within the design then the machine cannot always pick up what you expect it too. The offsett i added in the video is because i wanted the machine to leave a small white border all around my design when it cuts, rather than have it cut directly on my black stamped line.
I've tried & my SNC recognizes the image until I press cut button. I get error 'nothing to cut' & they're grayed out?🤦
You have to make sure you have a good contract between the edge of your image and your background colour. Also you have to make sure there ar no breaks of any kind in your outline you could try looking at this video of mine ua-cam.com/video/hn9CbqAJJjM/v-deo.html
Someone just recommended your videos as I am struggling with my scan and cut....there is absolutely no way my machine would cut leaves like that . I am so frustrated as flowers and leaves are what I mostly cut. I am ready to sell the machine. Any hints you could give would be greatly appreciated
Thank you, when you say your machine wouldn’t cut leaves like I’ve shown with mine what exactly do you mean what happens? Which machine model do you have, have you had it from brand-new.
To get good cuts you need to make sure your blade is in good condition so have you checked it under a magnifying glass to make sure that the tip is not damaged also you need a sticky mat and it also depends what you are trying to cut your shapes from i.e. what type of card paper vinyl etc
So brand new dx machine. Haven’t checked the blade, will do so but doubt it’s dull already. What I mean is that it won’t cut anything that small or with with much detail, as I said I mostly watercolor flowers and greenery and make cards from them. It cuts off part of the image or doesn’t even recognize it
So if you are using watercolour paper that could be why you are not getting a good cut, but to be honest the DX machine with auto blade has never failed me yet and ive tried all sorts of media. Are you colouring your work first and then trying to scan and cut, it may be that there isn't enough contrast for the machine to recognise what you are wanting it to cut out. You have to have a defind outline with good contrast to the background colour and no breaks at all in the outline. Remember this machine has a high resolution scanner and will pick up on any break or imperfection in an outline design and that will result in an imperfect scan
