Well done. Thank You for sharing. Dragonflies have been a symbol of importance to Me and My Sister now passed, since we were children i in the 1960's. I will definitely be making these. 👍😊🙏
❤ Thank you so much! I am very sorry that you have lost your sister. And I am glad that my tutorial brought you happy childhood memories you shared. I always loved these flying beauties since my childhood too and my heart still makes a little happy jump when I see one today ❤.
Beautiful 😍 I would like to make these. Dragonflies are the state insects in Washington. I have one that comes to my back patio and flies in place and will just stare at me 😅 I believe it's my late husband coming around to say hello 👋 Thank you ❤

Yay finally a left handed artist I can relate to!! These are magnificent!!! You have a lot more patience than me l! I may try this too. Thanks for showing us this.❤❤❤
🥰Thank you so much and welcome dear fellow left handed artist 😍! Please yes, give them a try. Especially the painting part is very relaxing while listening to some nice music.💖
💖Thank you so much! The paint I used here are glass colours from Marabu. They work fine for these small surfaces and you can wash out the brush with water. For larger projects I prefer solvent based glass colours 😊💞
These are really, really lovely! I am terrible with tiny paintbrushes, so I think I'll try using fine point Sharpies for coloring the wings, since I have lots of colors of those. And did you know you can run crayons through a mini glue gun? Might be a good way to make the body/head a solid base color, and then you'd just have to paint on accents.
These are Fantastic!! Super great!! Super pretty!! I'm totally inspired! So happy your video popped up for me,. Yeah pretty sure it's just for me haaaa Thank you:) I'm subscribing right now
Beautiful! You are so talented and crafty. Question: what is the black paint you use to outline? and can I use something else - like permanent marker. I have issues with my hands and it would become just a black wing. But I would like to try. Can always start over - right? Already printed my pages! I Love this Idea. Thank You!
💕Thank you so very much!😊 For the black outlines I use a black acrylic colour I bought in a local hardware store. It´s nothing special but it is liquid enough to draw very fine lines and well pigmented at the same time. The colour can be used for wood, metal and craft projects in general. But I am sure if you use a fineline permanent marker you can also get beautiful results. And even if the pattern is still too dense for the liner just leave out parts of the pattern to fit your project. It takes longer the way I draw the lines with brush and liquid colour but I love the lacquered effect and density. But as I said I am sure you can create beautiful dragonfly wings with a fine permanent marker too. I wish you lots of fun with the project and many beautiful dragonflies.🍀
Love them. So beautiful. Did you draw them yourself? If not, where can i find such a template? I would love to make some. Well, ......... one to start with.
😊Thanks, I am happy you like them! I always draw or build my patterns and models myself. I post the patterns in the community section of my channel, here is the link to my dragonfly pattern: yt3.ggpht.com/vInf5fJvA-Syn5yP66sT-lOpcoyl3UGVXPqfMAKVOxasq52agCAbwoA7XRDV8xuiYfD4QdOSAw1jMQ=s1600-rw-nd-v1 . I wish you lots of joy with the project.💕💓
I'm going to try watercolor markers/alcohol markers and Different inks for coloring. Hoping opacity is like the glass paint you used. These are so ❤ awesome
💖I am sure it will look beautiful. The colors of my gold and bronze dragonfly have no opacity too but I left it partially unpainted so it has kind of a translucent effect too.☺
🥰 Thank you so much! Glass colours are just the type of colour, there are several brands on the market. These colours are especially made to paint transparent materials (glass, acrylic and so on). I use water based ones here. But most times I prefer the solvent based ones. The colours are more brilliant and less runny.💖
❤Thank you. The black acrylic for the wing structures is from Swingcolor, the metallic paint is from Modern Masters (Gold and Bronze) and the glasscolours are from Marabu (Petrol, Cherry, Orange, Amethyst, Sunshine Yellow and Light Green). Solvent based glasscolours are less runny but the waterbased ones worked here quite well. 😊
🥰Thank you so much! Here is the link to the printout 😊 yt3.ggpht.com/vInf5fJvA-Syn5yP66sT-lOpcoyl3UGVXPqfMAKVOxasq52agCAbwoA7XRDV8xuiYfD4QdOSAw1jMQ=s1600-rw-nd-v1
❤ Thank you so much! I used waterbased glasscolor this time for the coloured parts, for one of the dragonflies I used a bit of non transparent golden and bronce acrylic colour. And for the backside transparent varnish (only neccessary if the plastic became dull by the nailpolish remover). To be honest I normally prefer solventbased glasscolour, but I still have some of the waterbased ones, so I still use those from time to time. 😊
I wanted to post a picture of the colours here but it does not seem to work. I just write it then ... the black acrylic for the wing structures is from swingcolor, the metallic paint is from Modern Masters (Gold and Bronze) and the glasscolours are from Marabu (Petrol, Cherry, Orange, Amethyst, Sunshine Yellow and Light Green) 😊

💖Hi and welcome! I am glad at least your last gluegun works fine. I bought mine years ago and almost forgot about it until I started to experiment in my projects with hotglue. Mine also drools a bit now and then even if I don´t push the trigger 😅. I saw that there are glueguns with really thin nozzles - mine has a wider nozzle but I get along with it so far. I hope your gluegun works now for lots of projects💖.
