What are your score predictions for Round 3 of The Rugby Championship? 👇🏉
It makes you think LMcD maybe doesn't want to be around for whatever happens in South Africa, to bale beforehand?
Of course, we are hoping to win one of the matches at least, but the Springboks are on top of their game this year.
So I'll say, Round 3, All Blacks to win by 4 points 🤞 ----- All Blacks, all day ▪▪◾◾◼◼◼⬛⬛⬛⬛
🇦🇷 Pumas 21 - 18 Wallabies 🇦🇺
🇿🇦 Boks 34 - 25 All Blacks 🇳🇿
Jeremy Paul is very refreshing to listen to.
So good 🙌
Yeah I really enjoy listening to him too. The three of them is a great line up.
I agree 💯 with Jeremy Paul. He knows his stuff regarding Aussie rugby and its current state.
He sure does 🙌
Jeremy is quickly becoming one of my favourite to listen to.
On a side note, that Brumbie's team that Jeremy was a part of seemed to pioneer so much of the attacks we have seen in rugby over the past 20 years.
BOD in Irelands media has mentioned how Leinster, ireland and the lions used Brumbies plays over the years.
What was it about that team??
They started introducing rugby league attacking style to their attack. It was pretty controversial at the time in regards to obstruction.
Eddie Jones
Yeah. Eddie Jones. A natural innovator
Excellent discussion team. Marshal was honest with his assessment, he knew both parties. He was right in the sense that the Head coach will always have the final say. After coaching the Ak Blues McDonald is still thinking like a Head coach and not an Assistant coach
Jeremy Paul should have his own show, Blokes the Oceania Jay Leno
We Kiwis take ourselves too seriously at times
Well he was born in NZ + he's part-Maori.
Ngaruawahia boy
How dare you! we would never take ourselves seriously
After years of enduring listening to Eddie ‘mate’ Jones, JP is restoring some class to the word. Cheers mate.
Great podcast gents, enjoying getting Jeremy and Justin's view from their experiences back in the day
👊
Enjoying the weekly yarns. Keep it up
He didn't pull the pin, he was pushed out. He's getting a 2-year payout on his contract, he would not get that if he walked away
Great insights from Jeremy Paul!! Wonderful show Chaps, thank you!!
Really enjoy Justin Marshall's analysis. I think he has one of the best rugby brains and he's willing to call things to out in ABs when others aren't.
As a Bok fan we're so amped to see how Fassi, Sasha and Ben Jason Dickson do against the ABs. We got a fast backline and a big pack. Let's go!
Great and insightful session. Actually very easy to listen to and entertaining.
You guys have moved to #1 spot for my favourite rugger podcast. So good.
Another great episode - Marshy and JP work really well off each other, both good value for punditry and craic, and Andy Rowe very adept at guiding the overall discussion.
If you do read this, JP - what about all the Ferraris and Lambos in the Bok backs at present? Gotta feeling these two back-to-back SA vs NZ tests will both eclipse last year’s RWC final.
Love the combined indepth analysis guys 😎
Loved ❤️ the 40 minute "Coaches Conspiracy" segment.😂
Don't take this the wrong way, but Jeremy Paul looks like the love child Victor Matfiel and Schalk Brits and i cannot unsee it.
Bring back Jeremy Paul. Compelling and charismatic!
Great stuff!
Would love to see JP join the KOKO Show boys
I wouldn't wish Swoop on anybody.😂
best rugby podcast hands down
7 coaches and NOT replacing Leon. Maybe Razor just used Leon to get the gig and has now worked him out to have his “yes” men around him.
Geez that's fuckin dark mate, u pulled that one out of ur arse.
Terrible conspiracy
There is nothing special about Leon to lift Razor's chances of getting the ABs coaching job. Razor earned the job based on merit--turning an average Crusaders squad into a 7 time SR championships.
dam good show. the allblacks played south africa twice over there last year. can,t wait for next weeks show. great weekend of test rugby coming up
I’m loving your guys conversation
Let’s get over it fast and focus on Ellis Park
We can do the scrum and the line outs then play our own rugby 💪🖤
Good yarn 👍
TBH this is the first RC where I don't really know what to expect. HOPING the ABs and Wallabies will both get a win this weekend. Would be really happy to see our Aussie mates get some runs on the board.
Honest opinions well done guys
I say this with all due respect, and JP and Marshy you’re legends and this pod is brilliant. JP says “if we’d done this and done that we’d be in the lead with a psychological edge” I hear the commentators of Wallabies game’s saying the same thing a lot. To my mind that’s a large part of the reason the Wallabies don’t do as well as they could. It seems like a mental mistake of making excuses and burying heads in the sand instead of focusing directly on what they need to
Leon MacDonald had stated on The Breakdown that he was given the responsibility of the back 3.
He had researched every wing and fullback in the country meticulously.
If you look at the fact that both wingers were dropped after the Argentinian loss, I think that was Scott Robertson issuing a bit of blame there, probably towards Leon.
Yet, the forwards were the real issue in that loss.
The timing of the wings being dropped after the loss and knowing that's Leon's department and then his subsequent departure after the next match, cannot just be a coincidence.
Yeah, if MacDonald pushed for selection of Telea and Reece then Robertson may well have been left scratching his head about a narrowed, let’s call it “umbrella attack”
Top job team.
great chat !
South Africa has about 9 coaches, lads.
They have Jerry, Stix, Deon, Daan, Rassie, Brown, Duane and Peyper. 👍 I don't think I left anyone out.🤔 If you include the strength and conditioning coach, then yeah 9.
@@CraighJonas Andy Edwards, yeah.
I dont thinks leon was involved in training prior to second arg test.didnt anybody notice his features while he sat in the coaching box.
Wallabies front row is going to pump the Argies…..wouldn’t be surprised to see the Wins go 2-0
I don't think it is a big deal ,both think like Head coaches, so LMD was always gonna feel out of place because he does not have the last call plus he was the head coach of Tasman 2016-2018 and he did the assistant stint under razor in 2017, in 2019 he took over at the blues, so he is a head coach not an assistant.
Cheers from a Saffa. Good chat, boys! We are all excited to see out the Aussies make their comeback. It's a process. SA did it in 2018, ya'll can do it too
When Beaden Barrett starts on the bench, then comes on and makes game changing (if not saving (Engand Test) interventions, whose decision is/was that?
I also wonder if McDonald would pick McKenzie at 10...
Leon McDonald’s probably a bit salty about number 9 jersey too. Finlay christie should’ve definitely been in the team
Roigard, Ratima, Hotham, Fakatava, Perenara, Funaki all better
@@Freekyallblack999 what you talkin bout man. Roigard injured. Raitma and Hotham raw asf and Fakatava hasn’t even earned a cap nor has funaki he plays in the npc😂😂 and TJ highly likely to get injured in his last ever season. Finlay has 23 caps played in a World Cup he should’ve been in the squad at least he has the experience the abs need
@kiwirugbyslayer Fktava and Funaki bring something different to the halfback role. They bring sound energy, very busy around the park and they are a threat around the ruck area. So they're unpredictable, they play heads up footy. Razor loves that kinda game driver.
@@Reformed1-e1c that’s why there allblacks 😂😂 Funaki and fakatava are mean players but at the end of the day funaki is Finlay’s sub and if razor was into them they would’ve been in the squad instead of ratima and Hotham
@kiwirugbyslayer they're not ruled out of contention for a spot in the ABs since Roigard is injured. Injury is always a possibility and so is life altering issues that affect player availability (family issues etc), so they're in contention for a spot. In the pecking order TJ, Ratima, Hotham, Finlay and Fktava are the best in the country, with Funaki making a mark. When Roigard returns and TJ off overseas, it could be Ratima in second or Hotham. They both play the same style to Roigard. Fktava has a balance of the three but dangerous around the ruck. Funaki is closing.
Come on guys! When the 13 and 14 go up it's not an umbrella defence. The umbrella is when only mid defence goes up hard and the wing stays back. If the 13 and 14 go up where's the umbrella shape???
So now having a rotating policy is being a CREATIVE GENIUS... isn't that saying too much? Remember the comments when Henry did that?
Scott Hansen - guaranteed him and Leon weren’t on same page.
❤
Summary of interview:
Justin & Andy: "Leon McDonald etc... Scott Robinson etc.. Rugby Championship etc..."
Jeremy Paul: "...back in my day... when I was playing... I used to do this... we used to do that..."
I like hearing all of their stories
@@stoneleighful what did you expect from this podcast? here’s an idea, why don’t you start a podcast, talk about what you want and we can all not watch / listen to it 😂🤣
I😊jn🎉
so my question is if having to many to many coaches and voices hurting New Zealand why is it doing the opposite for South Africa, I mean Duane Vermillion is a "roving coach" for South Africa, they almost have more coaches than players yet its work and working very well for over 8years
Lol Marshall you must understand the rugby unions and the hosting contracts. It's got nothing to do with the potential win and the aura of the stadium.
Ellispark hasn't been the Boks' fortress for a while. ABs actually have a really good record there the last decade.
Will be a tight game since the Boks don't have a settled second row.
I'm a Saffa, I have to agree with you about Ellis park, but still n great venue for a Boks/All Blacks test, and desigree with second rows, depth is good Psdt is a 80min beast in lock or flanker and Nortje is a workhorse2.0 and great in lineouts, bulls captain in URC
Boks have versatile players, modern rugby it’s the only way. Players must be able to play in at least 2 different positions.
having players who can play multiple positions doesn't necessarily mean the best person is playing it... Giving up a specialist to have the flexability?
So basically Leon is a bit of an alpha and that's why he left
alright, if having so many coaches and "voices " and having too many players for a position can be a headache is causing such an issue.
then how is South Africa and Rassie having so much success with a much larger coaching staff (2x as many New Zealand) and as the boom squad shows usually have 3 to 4 world class players for one position then what's the difference.
and seeing as two of rassies long term coach who have moved on quit with in a year of their new jobs , what is rassie doing where he can have an environment with multiple coaches, players and opinions but yet everyone buys into the programe and genuinely enjoy being around each other ?
It shouldn’t upset the team
Get rid of what’s not working for us coaching wise and move on for the next games
no predictions?
Hey Justin you’ve said your good mates with Leon you reached out to him for a comment mate .Or you can’t ,.
What jones story got to do with it?Stay on point, drivelling on😮
No predictions?????????
Too many coaches
J Paul is living in the past. Aussie rugby is in serious kak, the innovative backs not there anymore and Aussie forwards are not up to standard. Maybe it's the coaching. I mean, getting rid of Dave Rennie, Aussie Rugby has got rocks in their dumb heads. Rennie is the best in the west I.e. aus/nzl. Including Razor. But Rassie is the best coach in the worldwide. Two WCs.
Same as Jean De Villiers and Schalk Burger living in the past. What a shit (Kak) comment. Yeah Australia is having some issues but don't forget that we had a golden period just like what the Saffas are experiencing. I find the All blacks more of a threat than the bokkes. We have beaten the bokkes and when we have we still have always have the all blacks in the back of our heads as the real test on where we stand.
Jacques Nienaber was the last winning world cup coach for the Saffas.
@@markbeechey8901Rassie was Director of Rugby and pretty much the coach bar defence.👌
