I have difficulties making that lift without stretching the tape. I had accomplished it before seeing your video by stretching the tape while lifting the side of the face and taping it there. How do you accomplish the lift without stretching the tape though? Is it meant to not be stretched AT ALL? Thank you!
The cheeks taping is general so it is easy to apply. The goal of taping the cheeks is to support the underlying muscles in a new lifted position to help retrain the fascia, which can help to support the muscles. But to facilitate change in the muscles themselves, I recommend the Cheek Lift and Lower Face Reset exercises to work directly on strengthening and lifting the muscles. This taping position helps to support multiple muscles and is wonderful for some extra support, especially if you are a side sleeper. Hope this helps. 🙂
@Sara Kruger At the moment we don't have a video addressing that specifically. If the wrinkle is on the fat part of the cheek and not the Nasolabial Fold wrinkle, I would think that you would be a side sleeper to cause a vertical wrinkle there. I would suggest the taping for the Cheek lift to ensure there isn’t wrinkling when you are sleeping. If the cheek wrinkle is extending from the eyes and going down, you could still try the Cheek Lift taping but something stronger is needed and I would suggest microcurrent as a good option for you. Hope this helps.
@@StrivingforHealth Thank you so much for your reply! I do have lines from sleeping on my cheeks yes. Does the tape completely get rid of these lines over time? Or does it just soften them? I also have a couple fine lines on my cheeks from Laughing and smiling. I am currently doing microcurrent although I’ve only been doing it for about maybe two weeks now! Can’t wait for your reply thank you so much.
@Sara Kruger Taping can help to soften the lines if the line is from a dynamic muscle movement, where the muscle is creating the crease from moving in a certain way. Happy to hear that you are also doing microcurrent as that will help work on any type of wrinkle in general. You can also try Microneedling as it is a collagen induction therapy that can build collagen to help to fill in the lines, its amazing. 😊
Hi Geetha. If you are in the US, we offer them on our website. (www.strivingforhealth.com/) But, if you are not in the US we recommend purchasing either Spider Tech Gentle or Kinesio Gold Light Touch tape from their main websites below. [Will all depend on your Country of residence as to what is available] spidertech.com/us/spidertech-roll (select the gentle option on the page) kinesiotape.com/kinesio-tex-gold-light-touch/ Make sure you only get these specific ones from their websites as both companies sell other tapes as well. The other tapes on their sites are great for the body but just not the face, they will be WAY too aggressive for the face. You could possibly purchase them on Amazon etc. however there is always the risk of it being incorrectly labelled so I dont recommend it. We did a specific video for the types of tape to use as well, you can see that here: ua-cam.com/video/QaYW7ekcfCs/v-deo.html Let me know how you go. Good luck!
Can you sleep with it? Because I saw another video where they say that leaving it all night can cause edema. What is your opinion? I would really appreciate your answer
@Adriana Hdez Typically facial taping is used with other modalities like facial gua sha or facial cupping, both of which will move any stagnant fluids in the area, so I have never seen any edema issue with any of my patients using nighttime taping. However, to avoid any possible issues, I recommend using thinner tape (as per the cutting instructions in the videos) to ensure that a smaller area of the face is covered as well as making sure the tape never goes on too tightly. Remember, you shouldn’t be able to feel the tape after a few minutes, if you do, reapply. Tape that is too tight could cause issues. Hope this helps.
Hi, thanks for watching my videos. I always recommend doing the taping daily for about a month and then 3 times a week after that. You should see some results in that time. And definitely look at our Facial Exercise video's for other ways that will help. Hope that helps.
Overnight taping can be helpful, especially if you are a side sleeper as those specific wrinkles are worse for side sleepers. The sagging cheeks can benefit with the support to retrain the fascia but you will need to also incorporate come facial exercises to improve the sagging. We have some great exercises that can also help, the lower face reset and the nasolabial pull would both be great for you. Taping will never take the place of plastic surgery and is best for dynamic wrinkles. Give it a try!
@ Neha kumari Taping is not a permanent solution to wrinkles or sagging. Taping can help while the tape is applied to smooth out a wrinkle by immobilizing the muscle or help to support and retrain the facia while you sleep for muscles that are lax. Muscles can be attached to the skin so as we make expressions with our muscles, we cause wrinkles. As our muscles sag, it can bring down the skin with them. Taping is just one therapy that can help support healthy aging to minimize some of these issues. Taping should be done daily for about a month and then 3 times a week as maintenance. If sagging is the issue, facial exercises can help to strengthen the muscles, and thus the skin attached to them. If wrinkles are the issues, facial massage can be wonderful to relax the over used muscles creating the issues. For best results, Taping is wonderful when combined with multiple modalities. Hope that helps. Good Luck
The taping application is recommended to be bilateral, so both sides should be taped. Unless you are dealing with a lot of asymmetries and you are only wanting to correct one side.
@Pati Antlitz It is important that you stretch and move the skin during the application and to not stretch the tape. Hope that answers you question. Good luck!
If you are not using the proper tape, it will be painful. Make sure to not use regular tape for the body, the adhesive is way to aggressive for the face. The only tape I have found to not be painful is the Gentle tape from Spider Tech and the Kinesio Gold Light Touch from Kinesio tape. I have more info in the video on tape if you want more info. If you are pulling the tape off quickly it can be uncomfortable as well, even with the right tape. Remove the tape slowly and support the underlying skin as it is removed, it makes a huge difference.
So how do you know that you lift muscles up, instead of drug them down, while the nature of a stretching tape in general, is to drive back to the initiated length? I mean does it stretches muscles or does it make them tighter? on the other hand im thinking that you don't wanna stretch the skin, so how does it make any difference than just putting s sticker on your skin.. I'm not sure I'm in the logic i have to start from somewhere 🤔😅🤦🤦
@artemis2590 When using facial taping you can see immediate changes to the dynamic muscles by the next morning after application. However, when taping for a tightening effect, the tape is stretched and not the skin. By giving the muscle and skin some support with the taping, it can help to retrain the fascia into tighter position over time. Taping works extremely well in combination with facial exercises, which can strengthen and tone the muscles. Hope that clears things up for you.

I have confused myself lol. I thought the anchor needed to be at the hairline to lift it up and not near the nasolabial fold?

Hi again, you show inhibition of the zygomaticus major. Wouldn't you prefer to facilitate this muscle to lift the skin (and the muscle)?
