As a rock jock from the 60s, I was honored to play their music. Your reaction is similar to most who have not heard the diversity that Bill showed in "I wanna..." Try Bobby's "Summertime".
I think both men mastered the use of both sets of vocal cords. Their R&B performances kicked ass every week on Shindig. They are incomparable to this day. They turned simple songs like "You are My Sunshine" into an R&B masterpiece.
OMG, I love these guys! I'm 74 yrs old, and I still get goosebumps when I hear these guys sing this song! Blue-eyed! I was 14 years old when they c ame out in 1964! We fell in love with them. I have all of their vinyl record albums in my record collection.
This is a blues song written by Willie Dixon in 1954. It was a hit for Muddy Waters and has been recorded by many others, but I love this version. The guitar riff you asked about is pretty standard in blues songs. This one is mostly Bill. If you want to hear Bobby absolutely rave check out Summertime, the live version from 1965. B Flat Blues features both. They have a great cover of Sam and Dave's hit Hold on I'm Comin'.
Bill always sang his heart out. His personality shines in Bring it on home to me". Bobby has him laughing. And Justine. And " Come on, Pre Wall of sound days.
This sultry blues number was written by Willie Dixon and first recorded in 1954 by Muddy Waters. It's obvious he doesn't expect his woman to take on the traditional domestic responsibilities 😁. Many other artists recorded this, including the Rolling Stones, the Grateful Dead, the Kinks, the Yard Birds, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, the Righteous Brothers, Rod Stewart, Van Morrison, Adele, and many more.
Glad you found this song! IMO I think it’s one of the 2 sexiest songs ever. The other would be Let’s Get It On by Marvin Gaye. If you haven’t reacted to that one I hope you will.
As opposed to blatant sexuality, Bobby has some absolutely ideal solos as well as those with Bill. For example; Somewhere; Dream On; "My Prayer"; Ebb Tide. So many more. . . .
I love your reactions on the righteous brothers... I have some more songs so that you can react. to them. Please play summertime , ebb tide, what i,d say they were on the Andy Williams show , only you , my girl, somewhere , you will never walk alone , dream on, my prayer, for your love. there,s more but I will need to look them up . here are some to keep you busy thanks .
Suggestions for reactions… ‘Justine’. ‘Just once in my Life’. ‘The Harlem Shuffle’. ‘Young Blood’. ‘My Babe’. ‘Stay with Me, Baby’’Hung on you’. Here’s where they first hit national television - a weekly teen tv show, Shindig ua-cam.com/video/y2E6UijOHek/v-deo.html. You can see what a stretch it was for them to move into ballads like ‘Lovin’ Feeling “
Check out "Trouble" recorded in 1958 by Elvis Presley in the movie King Creole. It's got the exact same blues riff. And I'm quite sure it didn't originate with Elvis. I am pretty sure is a classic blues riff that comes out of the African American Blues culture.
Hey Dub... Great Reaction Bro! Check out The Animal's: House Of The Rising Sun, released in 1964... Definitely Top Notch with the Vocals by Eric Burdon...
"I Just Want to Make Love to You" is a blues song written by Willie Dixon. In 1954, it was recorded by Muddy Waters, and released as a single. A black blue singer was the first to sing this song and copied by many artist. It's sad Muddy Waters never received the true recognition who originated singing this song. It's sad you don't know your own people/race/history who sang this song first.
Yes Bill had the ladies. He had two wives and a number of relationships with other women, including Darlene Love, Mary Wilson and Connie Stevens. He liked some brown sugar☺️ React to Average White Band School Boy Crush Cut The Cake

@@dubzer0649 Bad to the bone - George Thorogood and other Blues songs.
Bobby did background vocals on this song, and he could get funky too. Glen Cambell did the guitar 🎸 yes the Witchataw Lineman could play.
The Righteous Bros were indeed "Blue-eyed Soul" at its finest. Period. End of sentence.
Yes they were fire 🔥
@@dubzer0649 They definitely set the bar... HIGH!

Yes this song def got me it was a vibe

Bill Medley sings baritone/bass for the Righteous Brothers; Bobby Hatfield sings falsetto, they don't both sing together on every song.
Bobby Hatfield did not sing falsetto. He was a tenor with the ability to reach countertenor range.
One of my favorites! Another great reaction😁
Glad you enjoyed it
Thanks for watching
Whooooooo this is niiiiiiiiiiiiice 🤘🤘🤘
Yes got to love the righteous brothers
Back in the day their songs were known as "panty droppers!" 🤣
I can see why
