    3:26: "This is a 2018 not a 2019..." Not cool man.

It's still a relevant and helpful opinion. If you were to drive a 2018 and 2019 back to back without knowing which was which and were asked to describe any differences after the fact, I think we all know how that would go... Labelling the video "2019" is a little weird, but I don't think it qualifies as "not cool".

Great video, I own a 2017 with the DSG transmission. Love everything about it except the panoramic roof. Good luck with it. 👍🏽

@@briand.5321 I know these are older posts but for those curious, this model is prone to leaky pano roofs. I'm assuming thats what he's referencing

We have a 2017 4M. Like that year's rear valance better with dual chrome exhaust tips.

Same here, a coworker got the 2018 and I do not like the fake "exhaust tips", like the dual tips on the 2017 so much better!

I would think this is the perfect family (max five people) car for folks that live in places with lots of snow. I have a 2019 S Sportwagen FWD with the manual trans and am glad I don't have to have an all wheel drive vehicle. I get 40 mpg at steady 70 mph (112 kph).

I got 39mpg on road trip in my '15 tsi auto SE 1.8L Sportwagen fwd, 170hp/199 torque.
      Isn't the 2019 a 1.4L
I wouldn't get the 1.4 for hauling, camping, performance driving.
That 1.4 would be working hard most of the time to keep up.
I like the 1.8 for that size of car.
      Cheers

@@sonofrobert The 1.4 has plenty of power, more than a lot of the similar size compacts. My last car was a Mazda 3 hatch and it had less hp & torque with it's 2.0. Sure beats my 1966 Datsun wagon with 67 hp. 🙂

@@rizzlerazzleuno4733 That's cool and I think you have an 8 speed auto.
You got the last of the Sportwagens in North America. Alot of the parts are shared with the golf so we will have stuff for repairs.
Cheers and I love my car too.

@@sonofrobert My car has a 6-speed manual. Special ordered my car to get exactly what I wanted. It was built in June. I knew VW was going to cancel the regular Golf and Sportwagen for North America. Folks in Europe will get the Gen 8 2020 Sportwagen, with a lot of engine choices. Europe and other places have all kinds of neat wagons (estates) that we never get here in US. The new small crossover that VW will build in Mexico might be successful in North America....It will be similar to the Tharu/Tarek and Golf SV. I expect VW to make an EV and hybrid version.

Oh ya, cool you have a 6 speed.
      Cheaper maintenance and cost.
That's cool our cars span the years of the Sportwagen. '15 to '19
I got the SE and had to wait for it to come on boat and train.
First new car for me so I got fender Audio, 17" alloys, push button start, panoramic sunroof, leatherette, Clear bra, tint. Love the car and what it can do. Mk7 is reliable and great engineering.
      Cheers

You compare the power level to the anemic de-tuned 2.0t in the Tiguan...I think if you drive that car you will find it to be slower than the sportwagen.

I thought you couldn't get the full euro LED headlights on the manual Highline, only the top trim Execline (which is auto). I miss something?

JB1/4? This will be the replacement for my AWD volvo V50 T5! Nothing else I can find like it.

I traded my coveted 2004 V40- after 14 years it was time to say good bye. I too bought this because it was the closest thing to my V40, and I now need AWD which the Volvo was not. This car has exceeded my expectations. My first AWD performed unbelievably in our first Connecticut snowstorm- with just original equipment tires.will this last as long as the Volvo? Probably not- but I can buy 2 of these, actually 3 (I got this br@nd new for $21k and change!) for what Volvo now gets for their cars. Too rich for my blood. I love this Sportwagen, and wish it would start snowing!

Volvo wagons especially xc70 were the best cars ever . We don't ALL need a 5,000 pound SUV .

5'10". There's enough room for a normal adult. It's snug for a large baby seat with 4-year old in it.

That is a Comfortline trim level. The Highline features real leather interior. Also, the Highline gets the automatic climate control for 2018 and 2019 year model. Small details like these can be misleading. Please do your homework before reviewing your own vehicle.
