@@bryangreenleaf5001 It is impressive for sure. Similar to drag racing. If you have not experienced it live... you have no idea of the noise level.
I have also experienced the V10 F1 era. I couldn't say which I like better.

My son and I saw such a race in Dubai 20 years ago. Great to watch and above every boat a helicopter, as it was life on TV. All the engines were provided by Lamborghini.
It looks so cool when the boats are going faster than the copter and passing it. Those things are ripping! Very cool video thumbs up from me.

I think the limit per motor in Supercat is way below 3500hp. At least that's what the specs say. Although 3500hp would make for one crazy race. Ha

Personally, I would avoid the wake of the boats ahead as the water is moving backwards for a few minutes. Even if it is smoother. The water is rough and very hard at those speeds. (Just try coming off of a ski at 60. Ow!! You bounce a few times. Then you get sucked in for a sudden stop.) But at these speeds, you will spin apart if your body hits the water.

Gostei ! E um esporte que não e muito divulgado, não passa na tevelisao ! Sempre achei um esporte de malucos, acho muito perigoso, um esporte na água, as lanchas são muito instáveis, uma provoca marola na outra, a de trás recebe um jato de água em cima ! Só não entendi o sistema de propulsão, não vi nenhum motor de popa nelas ! Muita coragem pilotar essas lanchas nessa velocidade !
