Thank you for the video, I have two little kids and we have all been trading illness back and forth for what feels like two months now. It is depressing but at the same time it comes with the territory I guess.

Another great video. Super excited for daily uploads but fully understand that when you need to take a break, take a break. Just getting into competitive half marathon running (from NZ), so thinking of signing up for your course :)

Thank you very much for this video.
I was a week into my training to classify to Boston and I also got sick 😅; so this was the most appropriate video for my current training.
Also makes you realize that is ok to have bad days; but that you can also make the most out of them.
    Keep it up. #roadToParis.

Hey bro loving this idea of vlogging everyday. It is great for me aiming for sub 2.30 in 2023, since you are doing a vlog everyday I am really interested in the under armor shoe line up I would love a bit of info on them during this process.

Hope you get to feeling better soon. At least your goal races are far out. You might want to try salt water gargles for your throat, Vicks for swollen lymph nodes and replace your toothbrush. Best of luck with your training and videojournaling.

Yeah I've had a cough for 6 weeks now and find what helped me stop coughing so much while running was breathing through my nose entirely. Strangely I found I could still run quite fast doing it

Hi Stephen, I am rooting for you every step of the way. I 100% agree with all your advice about dealing with illness INTELLIGENTLY, and by following what the HR etc data tells you to help break that emotional attachment and bring you back to reality. My mantra that has helped me over 40 years through all kinds of sports injuries (and the rehab) is "The sign of a champion is how you come back from injury (or illness)". Another tip when you are feeling guilty about taking it easy when ill/Injured is to ask yourself "If I was coaching someone else, what would I advise them?" The answer is always blindingly obvious😅 Thank you for your openess and honesty and sharing the unglamorous (at times) sheer bloody grind that lies behind being an Olympic marathon runner like you. I think you are already a secret Stoic but may not know it - if you have time, check out Ryan Holiday's Daily Stoic on UA-cam. You and him are moulded from the same steel. Good luck and hang in on the recovery. 😘 PS I live in France and expect to be cheering you on along the course at Paris. You will be there.🤗🤗🤗
