Hello, I have a TEFL, I’m Nigerian and I graduate in June but I’m in China. You wrote the process to get a job in China in your description but it’s only for those in South Africa. How do people in China go about getting a Z visa( the police clearance etc) since we can’t leave China and return?
@@LwaziMM from my country’s embassy here in China or the nearest Chinese police station? Also from now,January, till June when I graduate and get my bachelor’s degree, what do I need to do within this time frame e.g police clearance, get an agent…. I can’t get a job offer without the bachelor’s degree but I can start prepping other documents but I don’t know what else to do after getting my TEFL Certificate. That was the only important step I could do. I want to make it easier for myself so that once I get my degree I’ll have no problem with the immigration office or getting a z visa within 2 weeks. Thank you
Hi Lwazi to make sure I’m doing the right thing! I heard that one needs to Notarise the TEFL with an attorney and then take it to the High Court for Authentication, PCC valid within 6 months of course, the Degree should be verified by SAQA and all these 3 documents are to be submitted to DIRCO for the overall Authentication as well? And after they return they are to be taken to Chinese Consulate to be Authenticated after this that’s when you need to take have a job offer to apply for Z-Visa with Chinese Visa Centre Offices??

Hi Lebo, recruiters and agencies are still hiring. I honestly don't know how or what will happen, but when I know more I can do a video and share more information. Yes I would, but once the boarders open, for now just get your ducks in row.

Hi Lwazi I have Bachelor Degree of Social Work that I did at University of South Africa. I heard that other country do not accept someone with Bachelor Degree in Unisa. Is it true or will they accept me ?
@@rea9085 Exactly that, a PGCE would be an added benefit. But you still need a degree, people are confusing what's NQF approved in SA with China. In China you must have a degree even if an advanced diploma is equivalent to a degree in SA, that doesn't apply in China.
Hey Lwazi - the PCC is now R150 Thanks for the info. Not sure if your other videos cover this but, did you work with any agency? Can you refer any? And also, are you able to do a video on pointers when interviewing and ultimately accepting a position? What to look out for in a contract? And the early days once you’re in China - how much you’ll need to start your life, etc
Thanks for watching, and I'll update the PCC fee. I have recruiters mostly on WeChat but I can't vouch for them as most of jobs I've gotten them through a job portal/ directly through the school. I will definitely make videos around those questions.
@@SavedByJesus2022 I can't say, there are direct schools and also agencies. Unfortunately I can't really vouch for any agency since I've never gotten a job through them.
Yes, you can be hired anytime of the year, for traditional schools the academic year is September to mid January for term 1. And mid February to June/July for the second term.

Unfortunately, only a degree is acceptable. It could be in any field.
