- Starting a Twitch channel essentially means you're going to be trying to grow from 0 viewers, and that is okay! It is incredibly difficult, but everyone starts somewhere! Today, we're breaking down everything you need BEFORE your first Twitch stream!
You can expect To Have 0 To no viewers for your first stream or week, I want you to turn off the viewer count, and Stream Like You Have 100s of viewers for two reasons, first to build up your confidence and practice your skills as an entertainer.

How To Grow On Twitch?
If you want to grow your Twitch stream, it is important to be critical. Being critical isn’t a bad thing, people say, “Oh don’t be so critical of yourself!”.
But there are a lot of things you can control and improve, such as your visuals, audio, and most importantly your content that you’re creating. Watch back your VoD and be honest with yourself, is it up to scratch. Does your mic sound good? Are you engaging? Is it easy to watch and enjoy or is there something that is off-putting? Be honest, push yourself to grow, and become a better entertainer!
Because at the end of the day, the only way you are going to grow your stream is by growing yourself and being critical in a positive way.

What Bitrate And Settings Should I Use For Streaming?
The easiest way to understand bitrate is by calling what it actually is, your upload speed to the Twitch servers.
Now you’ll need a higher bitrate depending on how high quality you want your stream to be, this means 1080p 60 frames per second will need a bitrate of 6000, which roughly equals 6megabits upload speed on your end being taken up
By lowering your resolution and framerate, you can make it a lot easier to stream, for example, if you set your base canvas size to 1920x1080, but change your output to 1280x720 otherwise known as 720p you drop down to only needing a bitrate of 4500 or 4.5megabits.
If you still want 1080, you can even just lower your framerate from 60fps to 30fps and then adjust to 4500bitrate.

Yes bro fr just start... my main channel I got 340k subs in less than a year. The last 5 years I was like "no ima learn this... learn that.... no I gotta get better at this. Early on the best thing I learned was how I interacted with my viewers/chatters. Interaction is the main reason people stick around for my streams and has me roughly 10 regulars at this point that click on my notifications within the first few minutes of my stream and hang around for most of it!
Thanks for the video! One question: you mentioned in one od your videos that streaming is very different to edited videos. You’ve also mentioned how important creating these videos by using offline recording is. Lastly, you said about needing to be consistent with the games you play, so would you play the same game both for the stream and videos, or could you for example make videos of Titanfall 2 and then stream Crash Bandicoot?
I been TWITCH! Streamer for just over 9 yrs and I enjoy every moment of when I Began!
As someone who's extremely nervous most times, been trying to make more stuff to be more comfortable with it. I never liked playing a game or drawing something just cause it's popular cause it wouldn't be fun for me. I louke the advice of starting with something you like
I remember my first chatter, I was so involved in the game that I missed it by about 30 minutes.
...I promptly installed an application (chatty) that will ping me if I receive a message after 20 seconds of chat silence. Never missed a message then :D

I'm currently at this point. I'm almost done with the set-up with OBS/Twitch, but I am a little nervous with the process and how to use and keep an eye on all these processes while playing games.
But, I'm just nervous in the end. Procrastination is rough! 😅
Last thing I need before I start is a decent mic, cam, a chair that doesn't squeak and a StreamDeck. GOALS!

I'm looking to try streaming but don't know where to start
so my computer is VERY much able to stream, ive streamed from my omen laptop (with a slightly damaged fan) and i was expirencing no performance issues until my discord suddenly crashed, and then when i tried to open it, it bluescreened my pc, saying something about a missing file (what?) is this a sign that i am exausting too much of my resources? or is this a sign i need to get to just doing recordings?

I decided to play dbd and return to do pole dance streams, and i got 1-3 raids the last days, 10 followers the last days, and 2-4 people in the chat.
I was unsure to play dbd because it seems too many big streamers, but i don't know what i did, i just tried dbd, enjoyed the game and everything changed.
