Counterclockwise with the brush on top and clockwise on bottom of brim!! Ya never go against the direction of how its made. It will pull up a fuzz!!

I hate the way hats are shaped today! Y'all look like you got a snow shovel on your head, with that wide flat brim!
The brims are up-curled. A flat brim is horizontal.
