Now that's how a demonstration should be done. Show exactly what the machine is capable of doing with Intelligence and skill as opposed to reckless stupidity. Honda should pay you!
I’m not so sure that is true. I think the wheel has to spin before it engages. If this is true, you are basically in two wheel drive until you spin a tire. I could be wrong, but I have heard others comment about this. I’ll take the manual shift.
Awesome. Those are some tough trails. A small lift and some taller rock tires and the Pioneer would be even better. Also, long wheel base RZR's have problems with the Crack.
& a belt driven transmission,Honda on the other-hand configures a gear on gear automobile type of transmission & the only recreational vehicle Manufacturer to do so, which=Longevity!
Love my Honda 1000. I’ve been hanging with the big boys but what mods if any would you have liked to have for crawling like this? I have a 16 1000-5 like yours
That roll cage is bigger that the machine. Probably weighs a ton to. I wonder why the after market hasn't made a more sporty, stream line bolt on cage that looks nice. ???
if you own a p1k you know that if you have rear passengers you need the wide rops in the rear due to the rear seat locations.if you ride tight treed trails you need the nets as well and the wide rops and nets keeps you from getting speared.it makes it look top heavy but in fact it's not.i've had mine in some crazy inclines and off camber stuff and haven't flipped/rolled it yet.
HARY 5150 -I have one and no it can’t. They will have to walk the really steep parts. If you have any speed the pioneer can do it, but not the super slow rock crawling. It’s just not geared low enough.
Teresa Grooms that’s good man I have the 2016 100-5 and it was just starting to slip and the dealer did the product improvement campaign and replaced the clutch and valve body. But it sounds like with that new valve body like the later years have it’s no longer an issue
I have 3k miles on mine. No clutch issues. It doesn’t drive like a belt driven UTV. You have to be more mindful of what your doing with your machine and what gear range is best.
The Talon would be more a competitor to the Razor. And a good competitor. Still not super ok backcountry crawling with a belt-driven machine. I like the dct with actual gears on the Honda's. Won't beat on top end speed but I rarely do that.
Razor is it's own killer! Polaris sucks-just look at all the complaining about the ownership of one of those junks with their belt driven transmissions, a buddy of mine has to replace his belt every 400 miles, it's only used for getting to his hunting spot & back.
First I’m happy I bought a little beast.. 1000-5. I do like the way they coach you. I would definitely need them to help me too. Very impressed.
Wow. Did not expect it to be able to do that. Good driving. Good spotting.
Impressive. Looks like the Honda does really well out there!!
Wow, that's impressive. Never expect them able to traverse these type of terrain.
Get mine in the morning! Can't wait
Impressive driving and spotting. Honda power!! 👍
I love mine haven’t done any rock climbing but it go wherever you point it.
Yep, that was impressive. Buy the best and you'll never disappointed. The last drop I was saying "no way".
one of the coolest utv vids! Nice Work
Great machine and great driver. Really. Good work man.

Very impressed with my 2003 Pioneer 1000-5 Trail. If it has one wheel on the ground, it's gonna go!
Nice! The I-4WD on the LE seems to work just as good as the front and rear manual locker on the deluxe models.

@@loveistheanswer8137 its basically unoticeable and while it is very nice, idk about longevity

Great video!!! Love my pioneers!!!
🏆🏆🏆👍🙏
Your ice chest was rock solid. How is it secured?
Fantastic patient no panic driving⭐💪🤗
Thank you for sharing.
Wow! That was awesome! I might have to get one of these
Nice video...hope to make it out to MOAB in the near future
Makes me want to upgrade from my P520.
Wow...that machine is way more capable than I thought. I really like this vs a Polaris because the Polaris is insanely long.

wish they would make a long arm suspension for it. Thats all i would want. Did take the rear sway bar off after i was out there

Lucky Goose yea nor sporty cage would make this think look awesome.

Weighs a ton to what?
Great video guys
The guy with the hat on who got bumped in the head looked just like one of the hosts from the TFL channel.
Awwsome what add-on's do you have?
Nicely done. I have identical rig. What winch are you running?
Wow this makes me fell much better about the clutch on the 1000s. Does this one have the clutch update?
It’s not mine, but I believe it was bone stock.
It did not have the update at that time. 600 miles on it then I went ahead and got the upgrade.
The clutch is fine. DCTs are just not meant to crawl at super low speeds. Same is true with cars with DCTs.
My 2016 P-700 did it too.
Pretty impressive
Great VID!!!!!
It’s a billy goat!
Throttle control!
Amazing
amazing!
Can it do this with five adults
HARY 5150 -I have one and no it can’t. They will have to walk the really steep parts. If you have any speed the pioneer can do it, but not the super slow rock crawling. It’s just not geared low enough.
Yes it will. Not in high gear. It has a DCT so you can’t be doing all your crawling in high gear.
Love the pioneer and really enjoyed the video... but that's a Sunday drive compared to most of the trail's in the east/south east mountains.
"West is the Best, yeah, yeah N we'll do the rest"

How many 135R clutch packs have you replaced
Zero

So these have a LO gear?
lo gear and manual trans.notice the stock bighorns?
holy shit
Did the driver even drive? Lol
Why no helmets people? I hope you at least have the kids wearing them. Damn!
Your more than welcome to wear one when you go...
@@franka8888 Nice troll.
@@Icutmetal troll? Explain.. I simply stated a fact.
Yeah fuck that
I would not want that guy guiding me..gives a thumbs up but he did not watch him all the way through...
Recognize the driver but not the location.
I’d love to ride rocks like that!!!! Check out our videos from Florida!!
I don't see anything that impressed me much. Look up some RZR climbs & be impressed.
Been on trails this crazy in a Ranger 800 and handled it no problem. I reckon it would beat the panties off one of these POS Hondas.
you must be off your meds, bud.
Edward Cote he just can’t afford one that’s all lol
Razor killer? Give me a break. Honda is sweet, but a Razor killer it’s not. Maybe a Wildcat killer. That sounds more like it.
