For the people that keep bringing this up...It's not that they don't like each other, I see it more of a clash in personalities. Like good friends who are simply opposites. One is calm, serious and professional while the other is spontaneous, sunny and sometimes silly. x D
that is one of the most calmest rabbit i have ever seen, when i had my rabbit she hated being groomed 2x a year, spring and fall, the only way i was able to groom her, i had to give her treats when doing her bi-yearly grooming .
My bunny loves grooming time so much, he'll even turn around bit by bit on his own just to let me get all sides evenly ^-^ he always lets me deal with his eye sand too. The only times I've ever needed to do any kind of bathing for him was once when he fell asleep outside and a slug climbed onto him, I had to use a warm/damp wash cloth to get the slug slime off of him because he was too freaked out about it to do it himself properly and one when he scratched his eye and I needed to clean it up with a warm/wet washcloth again. Otherwise bunnies are very good at keeping themselves clean which is much appreciated by me :)
+POIsonAtTheCircus LOL. My ratbag hates being groomed. So I hold him firmly and pluck gently at major moulting times and always give him a piece of apple each day when he's having a major moult or he gets GI Stasis. Then he doesn't talk to me for a week (except to grab the apple from my hand, lol).
POIsonAtTheCircus awww. Yup. How we care for them has so much bearing on what they end up like. If they are part of the family they are just awesome. Hubby has had to rescue part of his breakfast at times cos Sticky (bunny's name) reaches up at the coffee table and grabs toast and runs off with it. lol
+Bunny Mad That's so cute!! Ziggy (my bun, short for Ziegfeld) learned to steal my popcorn a a young age XD If I'm eating anything he has to come check it out! once you let one into the house and into the family they totally act like they own the place!
Lol I use the furminator. But one thing that you guys did not mention was be extremely careful of the hip and rib bones. The brush can easily injure by going through the fur and hitting the bone.
UGH seriously the worst time of my life is when my bunny is in his shedding periods. Hair in my mouth, hair on my floor, hair in my hair. ;_; I have to brush him like 20 times a day oh man. x.x
I used to have a rabbit and every spring when he was shedding the local crows and magpies used to torture him, plucking hair off him. We had to try and keep him in, even though he wanted to be in the garden. We would just brush him and throw the hair outside for the birds.
Thanks for the info! I have a Lava brush (lava rock shaped like a brush sold in the small pet section.) that removes the shedding fur off of my mini lop but I believe it mostly takes from the top layer. That flea comb looks like it does a much better job. I'll be buying one of those. :)
My rabbits usually groom themselves. I just give them a hand when they shed really much or are sick/injured, wearing a cone or something. Or they got themselves really, really dirty.
You do not need a lot of practice you should have some snacks with you when you do this so every time you're doing OK give them a snack so they can know that they're safe there do you want them to be comfortable
Please don't use your pet's fur to needlefelt. It's not sanitary unless you clean it, card it, etc. Also, it doesn't really felt as well as wool, cashmere, alpaca...unless you have an Angora, which I still don't recommend to felt unless you, once again, know what you're doing. I'm not clear on if you have to wash angora but you probably should... I know I'm late, but in short, please don't felt fibers without properly prepping them, and its also a little weird or a lost cause for some fibers (like cat fur which is really slick) youre better off buying material than picking loose bits off the floor, table, etc.
My bunny never stops shedding. I am so addicted to plucking her hahaha. She loves it too. I comb her twice a week and the hair just keeps going . I am going to trim her hair this summer . Her hair never ends. I made 4 pillows in ones months with her hair lol
I have two rabbits, a male and a female, and when ever I put them together, the female goes to bite the male's face? What can I do so they don't attack each other? The female is 4 and the male is approx. 1.
Does anyone know what breed of bunny that is in the video? My bunny looks just like it. I'm thinking a mini Rex/ Netherland dwarf rabbit. I appreciate any feed back😃 Thanks!!!
I have a little angora cross dwarf bunny and she allows me to groom her nicely but she won't allow me to groom her tail area and it's got a few matts there and I really want to get rid of them, she also doesn't like being put on her back either but I am trying to slowly teach her that it's safe to be on her back. She's very timid and only likes me because I'm very calm and gentle. She will always come up to me and start licking me, she comes to me for attention and love. Thank you for your bunny nail clipping tutorial it was really helpful because that was always an ordeal to do
My rabbit has some hard hair at the tip of the bunnies butt hair. I tried washing it out, I was contemplating delicately cutting it out. What do you think?
I have a rabbit with a lot of small mats that I can't get out. Is it safe to use baby detangling spray? I know they make rabbit detangling spray but I don't have access to that right now and I can't shave the fur(him being here is temporary until he has a furever home)
So this Weekend I got a female Lionhead dwarf and she is really shy and I can't even touch her. The bedding (normal fine wood Chips) get's stuck on her belly, tail and head. When I come near her she hides in her house. How can I clean her fur if she is so shy?
Spinach contains a lot of calcium which builds up in a rabbits system. Try giving him mixed baby greens with spinach a few times per week and he'll warm up to it.
I always think I'm not brushing my lionhead enough because, no matter how much I brush her, hair just keeps coming and coming. XD Thanks for that comment clearing that up. Haha
Speaking of scent glands, is there anything you can recommend to curve litter pan odor. I have 3 rabbits 2 of which are Angoras. I have to keep them in extra large bunny pens but after 2 days, they just flat out stink again. I change out the paper litter so often it's not even funny. One of my angoras weighs 11.5 lbs. He is a big boy. So when he goes it's generally a lot. I stay on top of the cleaning and brushing but sometimes I wish there was a better alternative for the odor. I also line the bottom of the litter pan with newspaper to help, but it doesn't really after a few hours.
***** Where did you get that info from? They're the same animal... Bunnies are generally associated to be a baby. But they're the exact same animal. Not all domestic rabbits have their ears down and not all wild rabbits have their ears up. The position of their ears depends on their mood.
Could anyone tell me what type of rabbit this is? Mine looks exactly like this one! Though, I wasn't given much information, so I'm trying hard to find out more. So, please if you know what the type is, can you get back to me?
+Rizalyn delos Santos You can groom them at any age, it's best to groom them when you notice tht they're shedding a lot but aside from that, I usually groom mine once a week or a little less. Over grooming can be detrimental but I feel like grooming time is also bonding time so I like doing atleast once a week.
Fallon Hutchinson She's a long haired, she sheds all year long, she just doesn't like getting groomed, so she's tries to get away. Usually I try to calm her down with treats but she's not buying it. She just doesn't like it. I don't know why she doesn't.

That's one tolerant bunny. Lily acts like she's being murdered when I try to brush her.
It's easier if you have a table to put them on for grooming. Then they know they can't run away.
SnowLeafWoods same 🐰🐰🤣🤣
SnowLeafWoods mine too and my names lily xD
TheCookieWolf my rabbit, thumper, would probably take the brush from me, fling it away and hop off the table
My rabbit's name is Lily, too!
I usually put my bunnies’ hair outside for the birds to collect and make nests of. :)
That is so smart.
Omgg lol
I do the same with my husky. Haha may do the same with my rabbit. So far no shedding but we'll see.
that is one of the most calmest rabbit i have ever seen, when i had my rabbit she hated being groomed 2x a year, spring and fall, the only way i was able to groom her, i had to give her treats when doing her bi-yearly grooming .

UGH seriously the worst time of my life is when my bunny is in his shedding periods. Hair in my mouth, hair on my floor, hair in my hair. ;_; I have to brush him like 20 times a day oh man. x.x
Hair everywhere. I hate that too! It even gets stuck in my hair. That's the worst part. lol
Saaaaame

Thanks for the info! I have a Lava brush (lava rock shaped like a brush sold in the small pet section.) that removes the shedding fur off of my mini lop but I believe it mostly takes from the top layer. That flea comb looks like it does a much better job. I'll be buying one of those. :)
I thought my rabbit was shedding but wow! He hasn't shed this much yet. I've never been able to just pull out tuffs of fur like this.
My rabbits usually groom themselves. I just give them a hand when they shed really much or are sick/injured, wearing a cone or something. Or they got themselves really, really dirty.
Thank you for teaching me how to care for my bunnies even better!
My heart dropped when she pulled out the first tuft out of nowherr
I watch you guys every day
I always wondered with that makeup eye brow brush "soooo what do I do with this"
How do you make a rabbit act so calm ???
Must have a lot of practice.
Be around it a lot, be patient and always tell it what you are going to do.
You do not need a lot of practice you should have some snacks with you when you do this so every time you're doing OK give them a snack so they can know that they're safe there do you want them to be comfortable
Plucking is so much fun! You can needle felt with all the leftover fur :)
+Choco Monster lol
Ummm ok...
Please don't use your pet's fur to needlefelt. How often do you need to groom the rabbit?
I usually use the rubber kong brush, picks the hair up like nothing x)
My friend has a rabbit, and you can tell the dark and light blobs on her fur, it looks like a bunch of continents!
My bunny never stops shedding. I am so addicted to plucking her hahaha. She loves it too. I comb her twice a week and the hair just keeps going . I am going to trim her hair this summer . Her hair never ends. I made 4 pillows in ones months with her hair lol

If you stuff the fur into cushion, do you need any pre treatment to the fur before stuffing?
Does anyone know what breed of bunny that is in the video? My bunny looks just like it. I'm thinking a mini Rex/ Netherland dwarf rabbit. I appreciate any feed back😃 Thanks!!!
I'm gonna try that flea comb. I got mine an expensive cat brush but he's never liked it.

how old is that rabbit
is bean a dwarf rabbit
I use a Barbie brush with the bristles close is that ok
Aren't you suppose to use a soft bristled brush? since it can irritate there skin?
I know I'm late but you can you use a flea comb just not one of those really sharp bristles that are in some brushes:D
What about fleas on rabbits ?
can we use tooth brush?
+Thok Sothavy It won't get deep into the fur so won't be affective.
this was posted on my birthday!!!
I have a cute pet rabbit and he love to be groomed but hate it when I hold him
My rabbit will only eat spinach for his greens. Should I keep working at trying to get him to eat something else? He's only 14weeks old.
Spinach contains a lot of calcium which builds up in a rabbits system. Try giving him mixed baby greens with spinach a few times per week and he'll warm up to it.
I always think I'm not brushing my lionhead enough because, no matter how much I brush her, hair just keeps coming and coming. XD

toothbrush or no
I don’t have a rabbit but I wonder much time does it take until you collect enough rabbit fur to felt a full size clone of your rabbit 🐇
I know that you said that you don't need to clean bunnies but what if the bunny fell in some mud or something?
***** what?
***** rabbits and bunnies are the same animal...

+Rizalyn delos Santos You can groom them at any age, it's best to groom them when you notice tht they're shedding a lot but aside from that, I usually groom mine once a week or a little less. Can I use a tooth brush to groom my rabbit?
Not really because it would not catch any hairs
+Lana Hasan ok thank you
+Sydney Scala your welcome
My rabbit does not like to be handled AT ALL. He doesn’t even let us pet him! Any advice as to how to groom him?
Hey do you have any advice on how to convince my parents to get a rabbit or maybe some tips or facts or something that might help? Thanks.
Rabbits dont make noise they are gentle and quiet and they can be potty trained. You can also train your rabbits to do tricks.
also, rabbits are very easily able to be litter trained so they can roam around the house without a problem once that happens.
tell them rabbits r cute and snuggly.
Don't pluck him! what if I pull your hair. When you do that, you don't know what hairs are still attached to them.
shes pulling it lightly so she knows if it comes out that easily that it has already came out
👍
mine is Thunderstorm
Almost getting a bunny!! Any name ideas plz
It's a white bunny with red eyes :)
My rabbit sheds constantly,do you have any tips to clean up rabbit fur.
try to groom him/her outside
Fallon Hutchinson
I can't groom her outside, she tried to run away one time I tried, I'm to worried if I tired too again.
Holly Martin is she long haired and when you are grooming her keep her calm
Fallon Hutchinson
She's a long haired, she sheds all year long, she just doesn't like getting groomed, so she's tries to get away. Usually I try to calm her down with treats but she's not buying it. She just doesn't like it. I don't know why she doesn't.
Holly Martin thats normal some rabbits dont like being groomed but you can look up rabbit grooming
