BIG! Having a multiplayer Star Wars shooter is something I feel a lot of people want. It’ll have been 3 years this year since the last one got its final update. Plus a Star Wars multiplayer FPS will give a lot of content opportunities.
How many live service disasters are needed before people wake up and realise that it's a bad idea?
@@Danjen3ify Modern live service games do seem to have a lot of issues I’ll give you that. I just want a new multiplayer Star Wars shooter, because I like multiplayer shooters, that’s all.
@@Toad1K issues nah last year live service has been terrible and many games are getting cancelled or shut down.
@@xxcaptninjaxx4301 Valid. I think a lot of modern games are also being rushed too which means they’re not really good on launch too.
Battlefront or not (probably not), I just hope large scale battles with vehicles are included, even if it's a side mode.
I think going to be small scale than large scale like battlefront series hell maybe republic commando 2 or something else.

@@BM-PC_Gamer exactly battlefront is Star Wars version of battlefield.
It's possible that they might do something similar to the older Halo games, where there is a big focus on the long story campaign, however also a very fun multiplayer mode to go along with it.
I know its been over 10 years since Republic Commando released but I really hope this Respawn game is either a sequel or a reboot. Republic Commando had amazing squad mechanics at the time and a modern take would be so fun. Plus RC had a great single player campaign but also had a really fun arena style shooter multiplayer. On top of ALL of that it was gritty and badass! Fighting as a clone commando tasked with dangerous missions and impossible odds, hadn't been done before and really hasn't been done since. Personally I would rather a sequel be made over a remaster/reboot but in the age of remasters and reboots it would likely be a reboot.

If it's multiplayer, I want a battlefront-esque game. If it's single player, I'd be happy with an expansive narrative told alongside The Clone Wars.

I am a single player gamer but a multiplayer game should absolutely be in the works. The main thing I want is a Battlefront-style game with an actual Galactic Conquest mode. One that could be played single player, co-op, or multiplayer.
We NEED one! I’ve been playing BF 2015 recently as BF2 has become a little stale due to the end of updates. HOW have we only gotten TWO Star Wars multiplayer games since Disney acquired the company?!? It’s ridiculous.
We don't need a broken, microtransaction-infested nightmare.

Multiplayer is what everyone will play. Single player you play though once if not twice. But you’ll always go back to the multiplayer. Me and the boys still boot up Battlefront every now and again and have a blast. Multiplayer pls

Even though I am a Singleplayer games kind of person I really wish that a multiplayer Star Wars game of any sort will appear, just because it brings new people closer to the universe and because it strengthens the bond between existing fans, remember even if you like or dislike something about a particular part of Star Wars that doesn't mean that the people who don't share your view are your enemies, you can of course be politely vocal about your opinion but in the end we all love the same Galaxy from far, far away. With that being said don't lose hope Multiplayer Star Wars gamers, your time will come.
I feel like dice should use the portal system from 2042 with battlefront 3 imagine being able to customise how each round plays in a Star Wars game

For years, we as fans have wanted Single Player SW games, and don't get me wrong I do too. I love single player games, and Im glad we're getting more. But, there needs to be a balance of single player and multiplayer
I guess I'm on the side of single player games but if it has some sort of single-player campaign and then multiplayer, then I would not be upset by that.
Given the state of multiplayer shooters as a whole right now, a solid Star Wars FPS would be MASSIVE, and would finally be a great competitor to both Call of Duty & Battlefield.

I would play the fuck out of a "payday style" star wars game.... Team of 4 going through levels to save prisoners of war.. going into a Imperial fortress to sell tech plans for a huge weapon.. taking down defenses for a huge battle .
Whatever the task is, have it like Payday, that you are a special force team of Jedis or Commandos going into a map to do the task, and get out alive as the Imperial/republic sends waves and waves to try to stop you. Setting up traps for you.

Yes they have been sweating and that's the problem is that there is those people who do nothing but sweat, while other people who like single player games have to deal with people who literally play the multiplayer game without a life it would seem and then when you're dying every five seconds, it doesn't become fun it becomes crap. But absolutely I can understand that the people who plan to sweat on this game every hour of every day would want a multiplayer game like that. Jedi Fallen order and I'm sure Jedi Survivor will be a masterpiece as well. And I don't see anything wrong with games like that, that have a focus on making an incredible beautiful game that actually has a Star Wars story in it instead of just plopping you in giant map that was in one of the movies or something and put you on opposite sides and you just kill each other. While that can be fun, because I had a lot of fun with Battlefront 2, it's just not the same and I would take the single player game Masterpiece over that any day but again if it has both story and multiplayer separated and the story is actually good and the multiplayer is actually laid out and a great way, then I'm all for it. It's not that I don't like multiplayer because I do oh, it's just that I don't like it when you're facing people who literally do this every hour of their lives and then you can't enjoy it because you're dying all the time and I'm sure a lot of those people are going to be writing comments about this comment, because they can't even help themselves. Watch I guarantee it's going to happen.

I’ll take as many Star Wars games as I can, multiplayer or not. I just prefer stories over pvp, so I would prefer if it was like battlefront 2. Many pvp options, and a story mode
I’m not a multiplayer fan just because I don’t like having to rely on others to play/enjoy the game. One example is on another channel they were trying to play Battle Front 2 online and couldn’t because there were not enough people to even make a team after 20+ minutes of waiting.
That being said if there was a “remake” of the original Battle Front 2 or very similar I’d be down. But in the end for me it needs a good story.

We have 6 battlefront games better off to be something else than battlefront.
All I am going to say related to multiplayer Star Wars games.
I don't want anything but Clone Wars and if they do it they better not neuter the DC-15 like EA did in Battlefront 2 making it do no damage be inaccurate and always be full auto.
We have needed a big team Clone Wars game in the same style of Battlefield games or even Squad or hell let loose. If we had a game like that multiplayer would be set forever.

Got back into battlefront 2 and i forgot how toxic the first order ariels are. Jeez. Stuff like that is why people don't play sequel trilogy supremacy.
After watching andor i think a gta style heist game would be cool for star wars. I doubt Disney would endorse that though. I think we really need a multiplayer star wars game though, ea has recently gotten themselves a really bad reputation for their multiplayer ips hell even their single player ones but they do have a very strong multiplayer history, i just hope they can go back to their roots and stop being evil lol. 5 years is far too long between releases
Battlefront 3 like game?
Just hear me out, a Star Wars multiplayer game that plays like The Division... Fuck. Yes.
Call me whatever you want but I haven't found any of the new star wars games good. Part of that was definitely my expectations such as a reboot of the Jedi Knight series or a "reskin" of battlefield 3/4. But part of it too has been the launch of the games themselves. As someone who doesn't have time to "Get gud" in multiplayer games but absolutely loves shooters I am hoping that the new FPS (NOT third person) has a solid single player gameplay loop. Something that I feel is WAY to often overlooked is co-op. Especially drop in/drop out co-op. Imagine a republic commando reboot that has a story and side quests and various planets like a borderlands with the ability for your friends to join your squad. Or a star wars game that is a mix of nms and ghost recon Wildlands.

A HUGE HUGE benefit to Jedi Fallen order was
1. It wasn't stupid easy like every other game that is coming out
2. Wasn't filled my MACRO-TRANSACTION bullshit. No buying costumes, no stupid shitty battle pass... No leveling and buying xp "modern gaming" cancer that people say "hey it's normal"

I'm just afraid that a fps will just end up being like cod. Star wars battlefront 2 is unique (to me, who's played like 3 shooter games), because it's in 3rd person like Fortnite. But has the game modes almost like some of the cod games. I think EA just needs to update what they have, instead of re inventing the wheel
In an ideal world? Yes. In a capitalistic world? NO! Unless it's somehow not a live service game, but that's never going to happen.

Exactly what "sea of single player games" are you talking about? We have 1 single player game jedi, 2 very soon with the release of survivor but every other star wars game released since 2015 has been single player (yes even the Lego sw is technically mp) I haven't seen anyone complain about the new fps being single player, if it does end up being mp that would be cool too I have no issue with that but if its not I don't think most people would be mad about it
Survivor, Eclipse, Ubi Open World, Amy Hennig SW game, Kotor Remake.. that’s just off the top of my head
@@TheOzzyJedi yeah but all of those (except survivor) are still in development and are not playable yet, I know you might disagree but until they become real tangible things available to be playable they might as well be vaporware. At any time anything can happenen and suddenly they can cancel any of them, specially the kotor remake and eclipse which seem to be in limbo, remember 1313? theres nothing set in stone when it comes to game development. So at least for me all of those and any future sw games are not real until they release. I also want a new golden age of sw games just like you, but I don't want to get hyped and then dissapointed if any game gets canceled of if they don't fullfil the expectations and empty promises from the gaming industry.
Since multiplayer has been a thing, I completely stopped playing single player games. I also don't play single player campaigns in multiplayer games. I prefer the challenge of real people over bots.
So it will be a pass for me on any single player SW game. However, if it is a multiplayer SW game, I will most likely buy it. I love SWBF 1 and 2. I also would buy a Titanfall 3. I don't remember if this is the same studio we are talking about. TF games were also a lot of fun.
Found a sweaty COD kid who can't just enjoy games without inducing stress induced heart failure and sweating an ocean just playing a competitive game. Bots can easily wipe people and be casual with at ease tweaks.

Maybe it's both. Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy were both single player with outstanding multiplayer.
That's great for fans of Jedi play. I'm not really into Jedi. I like the shooting aspect of SW. Seems like they only like to make jedi/sith games now. Maybe that's what makes them the most money.
I think it won’t have anything to do with battlefront because EA is to scared of it.
As much as I admire DICE so much for sticking to their guns and working on Battlefront II for so long to make it the game that it always should have been after its disastrous launch, the fact that they never included the option to play any of the online game modes offline with bots is completely unacceptable and an absolute joke. I feel the exact same way about Nintendo's Splatoon franchise. Not everybody wants to play online with other people and some people just don't have good enough internet in general to do that. It is so frustrating that Battlefront II is essentially dead on PC because there is no active player base, meaning that the best content and modes of the game is no longer playable. It is an embarrassment of a trend that multiplayer games for the most part do not offer the ability to play those game modes without an internet connection with bots. That's why I traded in my copy of Splatoon 2 after a few weeks and I refused to buy Splatoon 3 and I am telling you right now that if Battlefront III gets announced and released and it DOESAN'T have that option, I will NOT be buying it.
Meh I only like star wars game that aren't restricted to Disney star wars, where there's barely any sith jedi lore I'm tired of star wars games taking place in the same era this why I believe kotor 1,2 are unique star wars games
They aren't really that unique, considering they're using Clone Wars-era ship design. The High Republic, which began under Disney's watch, is vastly different, and that's only 200 years before the Skywalker Saga (350 in Phase II). Even the Jedi robes are different!
In Phase II of the High Republic we're introduced to a group called the Path of the Open Hand, which is a Force cult that believes using the Force damages it. Basically, they see the Jedi much the same way the Jedi see the Sith. It's such a refreshing change from the typical Jedi/Sith conflict.

How I wish I lived in that ideal world! Alas, sooner or later someone's bound to create a live service (guaranteed to be broken/lacking of content at launch, though the microtransaction shop works perfectly) game where you have to spend thousands on pay-to-win microtransactions if you want to have fun.

Technically two battlefront spin off called renegade squadron and elite squadron on psp.
Only Star wars Game's of interest to me is Open world Third Person STAR WARS iP and Jedi saviour & Other's would just be filler in time waiting for massive entertainment Star wars.
But with massive entertainment it's not plain sailing as we've all got Concerns with woke rainbow themes Now running through their Company now,... Worried yes Concerned.
Hope they don't turn it into pink vader with vibrating rainbow power swords & woke blm women as main New Hero of game & there modern takes on world & Agenda's to push it on to public & us the fan's Gamers.

tbh i'm not looking forwrad to any starwars multiplayer games, anything they release will likely just be a Battlefield reskin with laser guns, plus the market for MP is extremely saturated, its gotta go.
