They should've used the classic logo.
I think the same. I think they used the new logo to promote the new season.
It's just a logo.
And what about those that hate new who, or at-least the current state of new-who?
If you're dumb enough to let the logo of an era impact your enjoyment of another era - you're not a fan anyway.
I like the classic logo better myself.
The new logo is just a stunt by BBC. If they had to use a new logo for the new series, fine but keep the old logo and font style for the classic series.
I think the Pertwee era font style over the background they used for the Baker years looks the best OR the Pertwee style font on its own.
I'd really like a season 10 box set
I'd love Season 7 to be the next set released.
my favouirite doctor and how much i wanted this blu ray series ... it's out of print now and they sell it for too high prices ... my fav episode here was the ark in space ...

I believe just the packaging and booklet is limited edition (just speculation) and due to the high sales (2nd on blu ray charts says a user on the merchandise guide) it could likely be re released. I hope so and if i see it anywhere in stock I will say. Unless your not Uk.
I had an early preview and got to have an in depth look on Saturday thanks to Lee Binding (the artist) after we went to a screening of Genesis on Saturday. It's amazing and I can't wait for it to arrive. 😊

Here in Germany we already got Box Sets of the classic series all seasons of the Sixth and the seventh doctor the discs are region-free and got the english and german Version on it they are not the most expensive so you could possibly check them out!

Yea, but how long will it take. 26 seasons, if they release one boxset a year that's 26 years. I think they will leave the 60's boxsets last because they would have to wait for all of the missing episodes to be animated and some recovered if they are very lucky.
The plan is to release at least two or three boxsets a year. So it won’t as some have suggested take 26 years to have the entire range out. Rumour has it that the next two sets will be another Tom Baker season and a Davison one.

AND I'd really like doctor specific logos but I spose i understand the use of the current ident. Nice choice with the later 7th Doctor seasons. 2 of my favourites too.
God I wish this is what the USA version was like. The USA one doesn’t even have the booklet!
They should release all of tom baker's seasons on Blu- Ray in a tardis

What if they save the 1st & 2nd Doctors seasons for later, and use the time to animate the missing ones
Season 1: 7 eps
Season 2: 2 eps
Season 3: 23 eps
Season 4: 24 eps
Season 5: 16 eps
Season 6: 5 eps
Just remember, Power of the Daleks and Shada were animated in HD
I reckon we'll get a few singular animated releases before then
but all the seasons will get a release at some point

i heard the documentary 'The Dalek Tapes' is not included as it was on the DVD release... is that true? if so that is a shame, it was really good and had a part to play in my becoming a Who fan. (perhaps it will pop up on another season...)
Probably an extra to be moved to a more appropriate season. An extra on here used to be on Carnival of Monsters Special Edition, about Ian Marter. The Dalek Tapes did feature Colin Baker talking about A Fix with Sontarans so it might be moved the Season 22 set.
If it turned out to be true I thought they may have moved to make a weaker season a better buy, however the 'Dalek Tape's' is supposed to be the Recording Taken from the Doctor By Davros in Genisis so now it is kinda out of place but i guess it isn't the worst thing in the world... Or perhaps their priority was the look of the episodes instead of editing out 'A Fix' from an old Documentary... possibly who knows... Who Nose

glad I pre-ordered mine! its a lovely boxset apart from the new logo???? WHY!!!! anyway, this set doesn't seem to be about anymore and people are bidding out on ebay for it!! some are asking up to 200 pounds for it!!!!
what is picture quality like much improvement from the dvds? only so much you can do with old tv shows so I'm guessing not to much difference.
I was surprised how much better it was actually, both the sound and visuals are a lot less compressed than the DVDs so worth the upgrade I'd say

No, it's Season 12. It's Tom Bakers first season.
I’m just wondering , why is it rated a 12? Asking because I know the original dvd releases of the dvd are rated a U or a PG
It's scarier in HD.
Either the special features or a BBFC re-review (you can check the BBFC website, they will list the special feature ratings as well)
It's NOT in HD though.
Some of the bonus features are rated PG or 12. This happened with some other classic episodes, for example The Five Doctors is a U rated episode but the 2-disc DVD is rated PG because of Peter Davidson swearing in the out-takes
Spearhead isn't the only blu ray classic, the movie, shada and power of the daleks are on blu ray
Well I guess they can use the excuse that the gave the U.K. A far superior case as an excuse to why other countries got their releases first

as much as the content seems great, the box itself seems overly bulky, awkward and ugly
