It's like a song I hear from another room and I can't quite place what it is, but it's familiar.
So did we all have at least one dream where it was deftones and it was a NEW song and it absolutely the most banging shit you ever heard

I know the band said they don't really want to release this because it doesn't really fit the creative direction they wanted to go in, but man Deftones fans talk about this album so much, they should really complete and finish it anyway. The Wikipedia page offers some great insight into this album, and it seems like they want to finish it. Apparently Chino just has a hard time listening to the session files because it takes him back to that time mentally, and he really doesn't want to be there anymore. But man, there's so many creative riffs and songs here, it would sound amazing. Even though it's unfinished I kind of like this more than anything they've put out since. Koi No Yokan was amazing but other than that nothing really stands out quite like these songs.
Also I kind of love the raw unfiltered sound of Melanie. It sounds like they're just playing it live in a garage.

Untitled probably would of been one of Deftones top ten songs had it been released just off a few seconds of hearing it.

All of it sounds really good, bad thing that they scrapped it... I wish one day they could release all of the scrapped songs in one album, they all sound really good.

Every so often "Smile" gets stuck in my head again and it takes me a bit to remember that it wasn't on a release. I wish they would finish that track and maybe just release it as a b-side.

@@sharinglungs3226 They didn't finish it, this version was leaked by Chino a year after Chi's death, it's not mixed or mastered and this lyrical video was made by fans.

Supposedly, Tempest from Koi No Yokan was also supposed to be on Eros, originally titled Trempest. Though, there’s no facts to back this claim, other than the similarities between the titles.
@@canceritself1854i read an article where chi described the drums and track as "very groovy", which is also present in tempest. i wouldn't be surprised if it was written for eros

@@wifi1968 You should’ve done more research. One google search would’ve given you your answer. Deftones posted the song to their website, and MySpace page in 2008, titled “You’ve seen the Butcher.” The song was only up for 2 hours, before being deleted. Obviously the songs share no similarities to each other, but the title is still the same for both, nonetheless.

@@canceritself1854 there's a video of this song. I have it saved in my favorites. I got into a pretty heated debate with a few different people who said this is the drums to Digital Bath. As I was saying there's no fuckin way that's the drums to Digital Bath, people kept chiming in and agreeing with the fucker. It was driving me insane. 🤣 I remember that argument because it pushed onto Facebook Messenger because they dipshit wanted to send me videos of some crap. It went on for days with the replies in that comment thread on UA-cam. 🤦🏻♂️
