- This video displays a setting up of 61 chain links and 2 sprockets along a defined paths in Assembly Modelling environment of Autodesk Inventor. [We invite everyone to visit our blog at following link bit.ly/3D_Param...]
First of all some base sketching is done afterward some advance pattern then making components adaptive we use assembly mates to set up an animation matching to the real world scenario… Later the whole mechanism consisting of required mates are driven by using Inventor Studio functionality of the software.

amazing
Way better than my videos - must step up 😅
Solidworks 👍👍👍👍
!!! Thanks a lot ...☺️☺️
Thanks for the great video.
When I use 'pattern' for the link-chain , they actually doesnt arrange in the right way, in the arc of the circle, link-chains still parallel with the surface which i use 'constrant' in the previous step.
really need help
Quang Huy Nguyen Hua The pattern is tricky one. Fill the values and apply the settings of the tools exactly displayed in the video. If it is giving problem you have to recreate the file. Watch the modified video at the following link to understand the process easily

After reestablishing our channel (around 2 year back we deleted all our videos to add branding clips on each video) the first video to cross the 100K (One Lakh) views mark…
Thanks for watching and keep watching dear viewers….
#autodesk Inventor...
See that the pattern will have a flaw on the curves. The points are equidistant in arc lenght. Any way to get them equidistant in secants on the curves.
At that time I am just opening the visibility of work planes (XZ, YZ, XY) of Master part and the Assembly and giving mate constrains to properly position it.
Thanks, you guys did a good job..
Can you help please: this method seems to constrain the links to the path at the centre point, but really these should be attached to the path at the axis of the pins and holes. Constraining at the centre point means the axes of adjacent links don't line up with one another. Is there a work around for this?
Can the gear rotate with the chain?
Now I understand why you have set it from 320mm to 1mm. I have been dying to find out why was my chain acting up every time it came to turn around the sprocket. Apparently you also had the same problem?
hello!
Can you explan this? Thank you very much!
Hello sir I need help regarding chain assembly. Sketches not available when inserted as i- part in Assembly
Mention the exact video time.
hi,very good,tanks
+ابوالفضل جعفری You are welcome.
good work !
That is the origin centre point of the Chain Link.
How do you did the move at 7:22? Make the YZ plane visible but i can't make the move?
Mikael watch the modified version of this video on the following link:-

There all the process is shown more clearly with audio narration.

Thanks for the nice comment. You should watch the modified version of this video that will easier to understand....

have the ability to make a simulation of such parts with a mat of chips for example could make a simple simulation?
Pattern on the sketch doesn't show up in the browser menu in the assembly. Help?
You have to change viewing mode while working on your Assembly from "Assembly to Modeling", this should correct the issue. This tab is shown in the Model tab while working on Inventor.
Hope this helps!
I'm not sure what you did on 7:22 It looks like you duplicated the plane but I can't see haw you did it?
Hi!!!
Can you please tell me how to get the Chain Link...I don't know how it's done or from where to take it. Anticipated thanks :D :P
For this you have to visit to our blog. There you will find complete list of videos by us, click over any of the link and get the details to get the files associated with our videos.

Please add sub i dont know what size n what i should used called
hey how to make the point on the chain link what you did on 10:05
helo, may I know where's the video of drawing sprockets?
That is not available. To complete the tutorial you have to download the files of a sprockets and chain.
hi could you put the way to make the sproket please tanks :)
+Horacio Mtz Sorry there is no video currently. The files needed to complete the tutorial is available for download please check the video description.
podrías dejar el engrane para esa cadena por favor !!!
Very strange e-mail me the screenshot of your browser bar you have to select it from browserbar.
so dificult
Every 5 minutes in ALL of my software I do Save AS and increment file name... I don't want ANY software to get me in the ass after 4 hours of editing effort, when some operation is "undo-able".
this is easy to make chain by watching your video but difficult to understand why u follow all thes steps
sorry its rectangular pattern its not shown on my assembly.........the video time is 11:46
Hello, by me it is also not indicated! Have you already found the problem?
Bad, the chains cross with the pinion
