Class C is a dream vs Class A! I drove a cheap Class A gas cross-country and it was horrible. Love the channel, especially the Silverado 2500 content.

There are some great videos from WeldTec Designs where they increase the front and rear spring rates, Heavy Duty Fox Shocks, and replace some other items to give much better ride and a little more ground clearance. Sumo Springs and Air Bags are more of a band-aid then an actual fix.

You might consider a Rear Trac Bar in order to minimize the lateral movement at the rear from adding unintended steering input at the front that now you, the driver, has to counteract when it happens.
My MH is a 2007 Forest River Lexington 255 GTS on Ford E450 Super Duty cutaway chassis.
    I upgraded with:
    (7) Firestone Transforce HT tires (6 on ground, + spare)
    f & r Koni FSD Shock Absorbers
    f & r Hellwig HD Anti-Sway Bars
f & r SumoSprings, "Solo, '-40'" on front, "Maxim, '-40' " on rear ( rear Solo may have been just as sufficient for what I wanted)
    SuperSteer rear Trac Bar
    Yet to go:
Another alignment as the one done was "vanillia poor". Not doing it again until I have confidence the shop knows what this vehicle needs in order to address weights + other characteristics -- i.e. screw Ford's extremely wide range of values, "being within specs" is useless-dangerous if NOT the RIGHT ONES!
Safe-T-Plus steering stabilizer is ready for install BUT NOT UNTIL proper alignment is done so MH steering returns to center on its own and tracks straight on its own - within realities as I know the steering response is affected by road characteristics such as road crown where its being driven.
    Good luck and safe travels.

My research leaned towards putting the Sumos in the rear also instead of the Air Bags. I always been told Air Bags would be better for a tow vehicle to change the Air psi when needed. The Sumos are designed for a constant unchanged ride. I did everything else as you mentioned except putting the Koni shocks on the rear due to the muffler heat shield blocking access the top of the passenger shock. I will road test tomorrow the new rear Sumos I recently installed. As you said each item makes the ride a little better and all combine really improves the ride. In my case little by little.

1st things you should do is to add 3 to 4 leafs to the old rear leaf spring suspension and have it re arced to have at least 3 inch more height. RVs are constant load of 10 000 lb if you have a medium to large RV, this means that you need at least 8 if not 10 leafs in each spring. They need to be arced to go higher 3 inches so you have proper ground clearance. Do not waste your money on summo springs or sway bar in the back. A spring shop should be able to add extra 3 or 4 leafs to the dually suspension.

Great video - easy to understand. I have a 2023 Thor Quantum KW29 and it doesn't drive very well just stock. I'm going to begin the suspension upgrade track - thanks for the video!

I always stay under the speed limit when driving my RV since my suspension system sucks to be safe....I'm looking also to upgrade my suspension but the prices are ridiculous..I'll be doing a couple of things each year for now..This year it's sumo springs and anti sway bar since I hate when trucks fly by you and it moves your RV to the right..Figuring you are paying a HIGH price for these that they would at least have a decent suspension system. Nope....Thanks for the info..

I recently decided to NOT buy the Entegra Esteem 29V Class C after taking it for a test drive at the dealership. It was a short drive but it only took a couple miles to realize how horrible of a driving experience it was. I could not imagine driving it cross country for many hours at a time! This is a brand new truck with the so called EZ-Ride suspension upgrade. This coach was all over the road and took constant inputs to keep in in the lane! It was just so unacceptable for me at the price of a new 2022 rig. I just lost all my trust in this kind of coach for safety of the drive alone. My wife wanted something she could drive as well and I would not even stop my test drive to let her try after the bad experience. I appreciate your upgrade options, but after spending $150,000 on a coach, I should not have to spend thousands more to make it drive right. I really wanted a good safe driving experience and I just dont trust this will do it. There are more vibration issues and creaks and groans inside that were just unacceptable. Soooo disappointed. I hope your advice helps out those who already bought their coach and NEED your ideas.

Your right about the ride. Prior to owning an RV we thought the wife would be cooking lunch or dinner while driving down the road. Wrong too rough of a drive. If you do the work yourself besides the alignment you could spend around $2000.00 in upgraded parts. I installed a little at a time and finally completed the upgrade on the suspension. Unfortunately I will never have the ride compared to a Cadillac.

Very good video. Does a Greyhawk ride better than a Sunseeker.?

The Jaycos do have the J ride system that includes some of these upgrades, so it's possible

So your video has been out for two years. That said did you ever put sumo springs on the rear? I did front and back plus steering stabilizer which is bilsteen. The coach is two years old now. Class C

I never did rear sumos, I sold it shortly after this video. I now have a class A gas that I'll be working on the suspension

After doing several of these upgrades have you been able to drive faster on the interstate? The most annoying thing of it swaying is I'm often having to drive under the speed limit on the interstate to keep it steady.

It's hard to say, because I still drive under the speed limit
