You see it all -- the moment when they realize, yep, this is happening, then her almost sickened look as it starts to hit her what she's going to do to her life, then her surrender to it anyway -- then the thudding collision with reality, because losing yourself in a love like that is always a doomed fantasy. This movie is so wise about love. I've thought about it a lot since I saw it years ago. Sarah and Michelle made magic together here.

I felt like their whole love affair was summed up perfectly in that scene....it's fun, it's flashy...then suddenly reality hits, the music stops....and you're left feeling empty.
