Church built in Kerala in 300 AD ? Are you joking sir ? Did the Kerala people use the Gregorian calendar then sir ? The Kollavarsham was started in 825AD in commemoration of the starting of Tharisappally , the first church in the Indian Sub continent at Thevally ( from Thevar Pally ) in Kollam. All the other churches in India were started after this date. So when you say 300 AD, one has to add 825 to that ! St. Thomas has never come to Kerala. Francis spent almost 30+ mnts but could not prove that St. Thomas ever came to the region which we now call as Kerala. He made a fool of his listeners. Same is the case with the Knai Thomman migration. That also has not happened in 345 AD as claimed by the knanaya community. It is a mistaken identity with that of the 9th century migration from West Asia to Kollam in 823 AD as proved recently by the European historian Prof. Istavan Perczel. of the Central European University.

The presence of Jews in Muziris is possible. So following the same logic the presence of some Jews who converted to Christianity is possible. Every other part of the story of St. Thomas is debatable.

At the same time, st. Thomas visited the kingdom of Gondaphorus in north western india, i. e. Part of Pakistan and Afghanistan. He built a palace in heaven for gondaphorus. The story is very funny. I am not elaborating. Same story was circulating in kerala in the past with a different name for the king and kingdom. Nowadays, this story has no demand in Kerala and now it is set aside. In both stories, the kings brother died and reachef heaven. There he saw the kings palace built by st. Thomas. He somehow returned to earth and told the king that he saw the palace built for the king in heaven by st. Thomas. Thus the king released st. Thomas from jail.
The story is not full and may find it difficult to understand. Anyway, it is very funny.

It is not mentioned in any of the Jewish history of India that Thomas had visited this state and even Dr. Babu Paul didn't give a clear answer for this question whether Thomas visited India during his IAS interview.
Why would Jewish history have proof? Anyways just because there is no proof found does not mean it did not happen. This scholar proves it could have been possible. Regardless of whether St. Thomas came or not does not change the core faith beliefs of St. Thomas Christians.

It is still an opinion, not a fact. I defended the historicity if St. Thomas in India in one if tgr chapters in my thesis based on one of the assumptions if you made. But later I changed it after doing intense research on Nestorianism in Kerala. You guys believe that the Syro Chaldean church in Kerala was under Rome before the Portuguese came to Malabar. Uniate Chaldeans had their existence only since the 18th century. It was after that Romo-Chaldean bishops began to visit Kerala.
Originally, the Church of the East (Nestorians) claim that their founder was St. Thomas, and when they evangelized Malabar in the middle of of the 8th century, they taught their new converts that the church had been founded by St. Thomas. Thus this was transferred from generation to venerations, until now. Their head of of the church (Catholicos-Patriarch of the East) claimed to be the successor of Thomas. Later in 825 AD Patriarch Timotheos sent bishops Mar Sabor and Proth to Malabar to strengthen the church in Malabar. This is the real story. Dr. Francis is working too hard to prove his assumption. He us wrong and as a leaned man man he proved stupid like any other Roman Catholic peritoneal.

Facts are very clear. After the crucification of Jesus Christ, the whole of Israel was under the Romans, who were not believers of Jesus those days. Followers were hunted and had to run away. The Apostles were also dispersed. Ecclesiastical History of Bishop Eusebius of Caesarea (4th century), says"(Peter)..at last, having come to Rome, he was crucified head-downwards; ... What do we need to say concerning Paul, who preached the Gospel of Christ from Jerusalem to Illyricum, and afterwards suffered martyrdom in Rome under Nero?"
Ecclesiastical History also says Thomas evangelized Parthia (part of today's Iran). Acts of Thomas, written in Syriac also supports this. It says Thomas visited the court of the Indo-Parthian king Gondophernes, who put him in charge of building a royal palace. He was also imprisoned there some time for spending the money for charity.
The above are coming from books which are very old. There are no hidden motives for anyone those days to simply say Thomas went to Parthia or India.
Once in Iran, the journey to India is not very far. There are archeological evidence of trade between South India and Roman Empire. Roman seals have been excavated in several places in Kerala, S.India. Thomas is supposed to have landed by sea at the port of Muziris(Cranganore today) in central Kerala. Local traditions and beliefs strongly support this theory. Today there is a memorial at the location.
