Hey, congratulations, you did what Blizzard's writers never could. Justified their own game in the world they created.
In almost every multiplayer game with lore the game itself cant be explained, only the events within the game. Doing the same thing multiple times is almost never explained either, because doing so simply isnt feasable.

Good news and bad news, sir. The bad news are the omnics are attacking again. the good news are their strategy seems to consist of going in alone, not communicating in any way, and disregarding the objectives the main frame has set for them.

what kinda scares me is that most secret history's are all, at least slightly possible in the stories they represent. even tails just being a psychopath obsessed with sonic is possible, and this overwatch story is just surprising, and possible by the standards of the plot...

This is the true lore to me.
This was awesome in every aspect of what a cartoon should be.
The voices were believable
the animation was fluid and full of stretch and squash.
And at first I thought the idea was overdone with the whole “don’t I hate you?” Thing, but the originality of the twist and just how much effort was put into it sold me.
Lol lastly The mccree was amazingly acted, animated, and written. He was probably my highlight.
This honestly goes somewhere with the story when the actual game hasnt

I LOVE the design of the main bad guy. I’m holding this as a headcanon, the design of the big bad is awesome and the implications are staggering. Literally better than the actual story.
They should do this as a real worldwide event in Overwatch taking the data of every player bloke they had been hacked by omnics so the level of the omnicompetent invasion is scaled up to player skill making a big war like a Battle Royale for everyone, only if Overwatch had 74 more heroes and villains at least.
That would be awesome.

Unie So the idea of the first Omnic Crisis failing but key members of Overwatch having been captured before the end of the war by the Omnics in order to run several simulations of them fighting each other, themselves and simulated versions of other heroes present in the world run via an unwitting majority blinded by the appearance of a game, so as to upgrade the combat capabilities of the Omnic forces and increase the success rate of a second Omnic attack is a worse lore idea than Overwatch and Talon and randoms from around the world constantly fighting each other for objectives just cause whilst the lore states Talon is bad but actually a team of good guys who are just really edgy and work outside the law, Overwatch reformed because Winston thought they needed to, Omnics still run around in Russia and a second Omnic crisis maybe, could be, not sure on the way. Oh and Tracer spends Christmas with her girlfriend, that was an important piece of lore people needed to know.

Der Paul only that man vs mashine was actually intresting because of TF2s weapon variety. The scout bot for example has the standard bat swinging scout, the standard scatter gun scout, the shortly invictible bonk scout, the stunball shooting allstar scout and the all beloved and countless round ruining gigant scunt (crit variants not included). And that’s just 1 of 9 other classes you are fighting against
