He was always a highly skilled player but his attitude always ruined it for him. The 4 years growing into a better man. Hanging around great men like SBW has done him so good
@@sionevaea5551 yeah he’s definitely slowed down on the flash passes and that but I think it’s worked well on it. Kept it simple, kept his head space clear
Best in the modern era??? Wow. Stephen Larkham dissected England to the tune of 76 - 0 in his first ever start at flyhalf for the Wallabies. He took the Brumbies to two Super Rugby titles and multiple finals series, he won the Bledisloe and Tri Nations, and essentially won the world cup for Australia in 1999. He tore defences to shreds AND he could defend like no other flyhalf I've ever seen. Quade Cooper has a step and a flick pass. I like Quade, I think he's finally matured and he seems much more team-oriented, but Larkham was the benchmark for 10s worldwide for several years. Cooper isn't even in the frame.
@@dustincleverley6595 true larkham was a legend of Australian rugby and will be one of the best 10s of all time in Australian rugby but if you look from 2010 to now quade has dominated Australian rugby as a 10
He is a spectacular player, always showing off hard skills and maybe managers weren't to keen about it because it can be dangerous. Like a Carlos Spencer back in the days.
I think he attracted a lot of flak and unpopularity for playing for OZ against his own country ( NZ) but who can blame him? It would be near impossible to get into the AB number 10 jersey against the talent in NZ. But now, he got his second break with a NZ manager.
I would say it was caused by his dirty play against NZ hero and captain himself Richie. I dont think AB supporters would hate great rugby player for no reason. x)

He's a magician on the field definitely a top skillful player for sure good to see him back in the wallabies squad we ain't all perfect we don't all have the same attitude maybe that's what he needed was time away from the sport. Respect quady
He had a gymnast's ability to change direction in midair - but he could also offload the ball while doing so. Amazing skills! could never understand how he attracted so much hate. I guess if you have unique skills, you attract a lot of "Tall Poppy" syndrome...

Good to see this man back in full flight

Well said
Yea he's changed, but whats sad is that he isnt too flashy like he was but still an incredibly solid player.

Also look at the size of his QUADS from then v now. before thy were small. now they are ENORMOUS. he has truly begome QUAD COOPER.
He’s was very well rated. Just the Wallabies coaching staff didn’t select him.
Best 10 in the modern era of Australian rugby
Lolesio will be a good one, hopefully they look after him
By far
If he is why they rejected his citizenship application for then.

He’s always been a amazing player . One of the best attacking first fives in the modern era and this is coming from a die hard all black supporter
Always liked Quade, brilliant player! Good to see him back! From a Springbok supporter 😄
i watch rugby to be entertained and this guy always entertained me
The fact that he dummied the camera man twice in a row 😂
And then when he did actually pass the cameraman thought it was another dummy.
Nice vid man, but it still hurts we lost against the wallabies
I know right. if only Pollard didn't miss his kicks, SA would have won the match.
I've always enjoyed his rugby and i wanted his come back but last weekend he broke my heart lol. I'm glad he is back i hope he keep doing good work.
10/10 vid
His hair transplant looks great

Cant remember a time in the last 10 years that this oke has not been rated very well and amongst the top flyhalves in rugby...

He is damn good.
GLAD THE CHAMP IS BACK!!
I like how he comes back after the wallabys played the all blacks because he was scared to play them knowing they would want to hurt him
🔥🔥🔥🔥
reminds me of Carlos Spencer.
Everyone forgets the big moments he chocked and got dropped
Has 1 good game and we forget the critical games he lost us
Short memories
3 good games

Mmm
Nah
Michael Cheika must be pissed 😂
Was simply a head of the rest in any games. Thinking a couple of phases while the rest are a ty the first....gun
He was good his problem was he could never string enough good games together to win a world cup.
he was never underrated. he was actually overrated back then. now he seems to have made peace with himself.
Exactly! He was overrated. Was considered one of the best players in the World. And he wasn't
Wallabies now without Quade. Let's see if wins continue.

Don't think I ever heard anyone call him underrated.
Quality player and a cheeky bastard too with sum of his play.
He danced around the Irish when he played us
Class is permanent,age means experience
then you go and watch the 2011 RWC semi-final and see he isn't underrated
Seems to have quite a good fend too.
Don't think he's underrated, I think his coaches and fellow players are tired of dealing with him. In much the same mould as Henson and Cipriani.
You spelled overrated wrong.
😂😂😂 good one👍🏻
if he had speed his highlight reel would be endless
he was very highly rated but he was not consistent. A very skilled player but was inconsistent in his performances.
Would of been unstoppable as an AB
Highly skilled but never performed on form .. so he’s underrated 💯
Has he learnt to tackle one on one yet? Watch the next test, the boks will make him make big tackles early and take his confidence away.
If only he played League
Kicks and cuddles? Yeah nah brother
