Aspiring comic book authors and artists could display their work and make connections with big comic book publishers.. Now Comic Con has turned into a huge multimedia, gaming and toy event. There's little room for aspiring comic book authors writers. Your parody can be all about Roger Con.

The Steamboat Willy Mickey may not be free. Disney purposely uses it as the logo for their animation studio. So in effect, he went from a character to a design logo. Copywrite law is all about preventing you from confusing one brand for another. It was supposed to be about equally protecting the owner and consumer. Imagine if I created my own eBay auction site, but just changed the colors and font a bit. Consumers would be confused which site was which. Disney may have found another loophole to exploit.

The Steamboat Willy Mickey may not be free. Disney purposely uses it as the logo for their animation studio. So in effect, he went from a character to a design logo. Copywrite law is all about preventing you from confusing one brand for another. It was supposed to be about equally protecting the owner and consumer. Imagine if I created my own eBay auction site, but just changed the colors and font a bit. Consumers would be confused which site was which. Disney may have found another loophole to exploit.
