Hi guys! Another trip to the GCFCE to see what Agent 7678 has found this time! This ex-forestry 4x4 Dodge does not run at all... Will the cheapo amazon carb fix it? Is something else wrong? Let's find out! Calendars are sold out; thanks so much to everyone who ordered one... they are being shipped now!
Oh! I do not have a Telegram account or any bullshit contest going! Do not respond to any of these "contest winner" replies; they are a scam. Thanks to everyone who subscribed to our channel here, and thanks also for all of your "likes" and comments!

I'm actually green w/envy that Dan scored a good truck in that condition....swapping in the Cummins is a boss move. And I have no doubt that the Olds will appreciate all that work going into it. That's a cool cruiser.
Hi Scott , looks like Dan scored another beaut truck . Surprised neither of you said that the truck was miiiint ! On a different topic , just watched Johnny Smith's channel the late brake show revive a Renault 5 Gordini turbo . Don't know if anyone else has recommended it to you . Thought it might be of interest to you . All the best . Twopoptone .
I’ve done that with both of my square body Chevy trucks, just climb inside. To get the brake booster off on my current 73 one ton I also took the hood off
That Truck is amazing, and so rare, the first year of the new style....the first thing I noticed was the dash having the 70's style air vents, but then seeing the back seat and door panels,....my mind was blown away and that doesn't happen much with old mopars.....I"VE NEVER seen one of these!!!
What a great old truck. I've had all too many(but never enough) old Govt. Dodge pickups but never a Crewcab. An interesting thing I just learned after being surrounded by Mopars and Dodge trucks in particular since the 60s is that when they gave the D-series trucks the facelift in '81 where they replaced the Tin Grill and round headlights that God designed them with and squared off the sheetmetal, they didn't give the Clubcab and Crewcab the new roof with the sharper edge at the back and sides. I was looking at a Diesel '91 Clubcab Dually recently and asked the owner why they had to swap the cab be ause I saw it had the pre-81 round roof. He assured me it had never had the cab swapped and just as I was about to drop my VAST knowledge of everything Mopar on him I actually listened to that little voice in my brain and decided to keep my pie hole closed and do a little research before I said something dumb. Sure enough, only the regular cab got the updated roof. So, the moral of the story is, It's easy to learn when, A, you don't assume you know everything, and 3, you don't know much to begin with
My god, the luck of your crew when it comes to acquiring rad vehicles is just insane. I only live a few hundred km south of you and things are absolutely dire down here
Scott, A friend of mine in Seattle bought a US forest-service-green Dodge panel truck at a government surplus auction and drove it for at least 20 years! Dan's crew cab looks to be in about the same shape. Those trucks never saw many long distance runs or much over 40-50 MPH. I guess a diesel is a good swap but those 318s or slant 6s never quit! Gotta love the prices on those Chinese knockoffs and it worked! Cool run and drive! Looking forward to Sat! Cheers!
Dan is amazing. He finds the coolest trucks around. That is a great find. That crew cab is a beast. Looking forward to seeing the Olds repairs. It's time to get my snowblower running again after seeing your snow. Take care and see you on the next one.
A trip to the GCFCE is always insightful. I am hoping that You can trick Laura into salvaging the One Word Review of the Chevy. Best Wishes to everyone at Cold War Motors.
Glad that Dan shows no restraint in acquisitions, contrary to Tractor Gnome’s expectation that it “wouldn’t be another Dodge truck because he’s already got plenty of those.” Same goes for former RCMP cruisers. Good call on pulling the vacuum lines!
Just as I was about to click "9-Year-Old Gets His Drunk Mom Arrested For DUI," CWM's saves the nightcap with "Dodge Crewcab 4x4 Stick! Will this Ex-Forestry Truck Run?" from the GCFCE. She's a beauty. Look forward to seeing the Olds & an update on Jim's Mark.
Last time I saw a mechanic sit on the inner fender like that was when a small Chileno mechanic helped me replacing some parts on my Chevy sixbanger. That is why I LOVE old iron and I hate new stuff. I could not have passed on this one neighter. A great and basic vehicle. What is not there cannot be broken. Some idiots always complain how high the gas consumtion is with those old heavy duty vehicles. They prefer to spend money on enormous maintanance costs and do not even see that they loose thousands of $ as the value of their nearly new vehicles falls towards zero in record time.
I have a 2003 1/2 ton, short box, 4x4,stick that had belonged to the U.S. Forest Service in Oregon. It has the same color green only the paint on mine is in real good shape and it’s shinier. I get asked about the color all the time people seem to really like it, especially women. I must say it is a happy color. I love the truck.
What an amazing SCORE ! That truck looks EXCELLENT ! . I would say "Dan has the luck " - but I suspect that a lot of diligent searching and much patience goes into these Finds ... I'd call it 'Red Green' or even 'Ranger Gord!' .
Interesting seeing newer cars (as from the 1980's onwards) being restored on this channel, I imagine that it would in many ways be easier than with cars from the 1970's and before. At any rate congratulations with getting this Dodge pickup to run again, I love the pastel turquoise colour it's painted in and look forward to seeing it being restored further.
For a Government car it looks too good to be true. Usually all these 4x4 trucks look like epic pile of rust turds. This one needs just a lot of cleaning and polishing+ the engine swap. Very happy to see Dan saved this one.
I bought a car with one of those Chinese edelbrock type carbs and I ended up using the boosters out of a junk edelbrock to fix the issues I was experiencing with idle and part throttle and that fixed it.
Being from the States, "Havana Club", meant a quick Google looksie, and reminds me of the taste of Montechristo's, and trips to St. Catherine's, peameal bacon, too.... (Thank's Mackenzie Brothers!/Thank's ColdWarMotors!)
The late 70's incarnation of these were pretty good back in the day, it looks pretty much the same in the engine bay I think this has more emissions stuff, cab is a lot like what I remember
Seen these crew cabs but never been in one! Nice score! And government green!. I could live with that. Way better than government yellow. Thanks for taking us for a little ride!
Dan’s Crew cab was a find. A carburetor was the fix it needed. And wants to upgrade with a Cummins Diesel. I just would run the 318 until it was shot. But, know that won’t be the case. Thanks for sharing. 💯👍👊
Scott. WOW. love that truck. Everything about it is awesome. I would not change a thing other than extensive tidy. Saturday is next. Cheers from Wisconsin
Honestly able to say you've been spoiling the GCFCE fans lately! I may have said it before, but is worth repeating- the Jack Nicholson line from Batman "Where does he get those MARVELOUS toys??!!"
What an absolute gem!!! Love these guys haha 45 minutes Also I heard you say that you liked someone else’s idea of cutting the hog rings and washing the seat covers in the washing machine so I tried that on an 80s Malibu set of seats with amazing results. Thank you for mentioning that.!!!
One day there will be a shrine erected in your part of Alberta and people will teleport in from all over the world to see where the Cold War Motors legend was born.
On the 55 olds you can have a ignition key and door keys cut with the numbers that are found on the door key cyl and the trunk lock or glove box lock On gm cars the keys were easy to have made up into the early 70s
Dear CWM CEO Scott and GCFCE Dan. 👍👌👏 Oh WOW, this is a great looking truck with lots of potential. I would definitely like to own such a vehicle. And not only because I simply love nearly anything that is green! 💚 Congratulations 🎉 for purchasing this low mileage, almost rust free 4x4 beast. Of course I'm eagerly looking forward to when it gets it's sturdy and reliable Diesel engine. As always: Thanks a lot for making teaching explaining recording editing uploading and sharing. Best regards luck and especially health to all involved life forms (humans and dog).
I've got 3 things to say, One.... Great crew cab. Two... What is the GCFCE? Great Car, Fucked Car Emporium Three..It's Snowing? We are getting Wind and rain in Orkney. Gotta love the Gulf Stream!
Light 'em up 😀 thank you very much, not a bad buy the repop carb in Canadian convertibele pesos! Awesome find, great to see. Thank you for taking us along Scott.
I think Dan's trying to catch up to you on the lot of lots of cars and such! 😅 Man you guys are so lucky up there to have the land and good scores to collect, and it helps to have a little scratch to buy them also I reckon when they pop up. Great score!
Cool truck! I had a 1995 Dodge half ton truck in the same color. National Forest Service safety green.. My friends called it the thin mint mobile after the Girl Scout cookies back when the Girl Scouts were actual girls and actual Scouts...
Nice truck project!!! As for GM keys they only made 165 different keys for the early GM I don't know if you have a collection of them but I did and found keys for my 61 Olds. If that doesn't work then you can take the locks in.
I bought one of those Chinese Rochester Quadrajet direct Replacements and even though it came with several primary Jets and pilot Jets it would not idle on a 305 , it would run to Rich at idle. The old saying you get what you pay for and sometimes it's just a crap shoot whether it's good or bad I've had plenty of good small engine Chicom copies that worked . I've got a cj750 motorcycle with sidecar that is still chugging along even though it's a bmw 1938 R71 built in Russian under licences and then passed on to the Chinese!
I've been lookingfor an ex Forest Service truck for years! And I live in Oregon for F sake! A friend of mine had an 81 Bronco that was ex forest service that I wanted so bad! Cheers fellas! Todd Konoske the retired trucker.
Man, I wish you could check out my 77 Dodge M886. Basically a Dodge W200 Powerwagon with a coach build ambulance body for the US military. I feel like you would enjoy it haha.
That color is pastel green. Very common color with state and federal forestry departments. That color is used by the East Bay Regional Parks district. Where did this truck come from? You should try going to fuel injection.

@ timiiveshoemaker6347 chel timing chain and dizzy
Dan could open up his own government agency, he already has the motor pool.
😂😂
LMAO 🤣 🤣 🤣
Dan's enthusiasm for those old dodges, like a kid in a candy store 😂😂
The Same Old Shit motorized division of the CWM provincial authority.
I’m from the UK, seeing someone climb into the engine bay & sit down to remove the carb is not an everyday sight 😅 What a beast that truck is 👍
I’ve done that with both of my square body Chevy trucks, just climb inside. To get the brake booster off on my current 73 one ton I also took the hood off
Excellent score. Probably has a turning circle akin to the Queen Mary, but whatever it can't avoid, it can easily run over. What a mighty creature.
That Truck is amazing, and so rare, the first year of the new style....the first thing I noticed was the dash having the 70's style air vents, but then seeing the back seat and door panels,....my mind was blown away and that doesn't happen much with old mopars.....I"VE NEVER seen one of these!!!
Hey, glad you liked this one... a rarity for sure, and will be really nice when finished! Cheers from everyone here!
Another excellent acquisition! I can confirm that nearly every small town in Saskatchewan has a dealership like that.
Ha! Yep; Dan and I can both confirm that... Cheers buddy!
What a great old truck. I've had all too many(but never enough) old Govt. Dodge pickups but never a Crewcab. Dan, don't forget to put air cleaner back on to keep water and other nasties out.
Soon as I saw the thumbnail I figured it was Dan's. Nice score. Great ground clearance!
I like that crew cab way more than I should. Nice!
I believe Dan is addicted to old Dodge pickups. Should be sweet with a Cummins.
My god, the luck of your crew when it comes to acquiring rad vehicles is just insane. I only live a few hundred km south of you and things are absolutely dire down here
Most of life's problems can be solved with a quick hacksaw job. Cheers from Iowa
Cheers!
I’d leave the 318 in there
Love that motor
I as well with the proper carb adapter. Dan’s engine sounds great, nice and quiet . They get ok fuel mileage also
Dan is amazing. He finds the coolest trucks around. That is a great find. That crew cab is a beast. Looking forward to seeing the Olds repairs. It's time to get my snowblower running again after seeing your snow. Take care and see you on the next one.
❤ looking at older vehicles. Looking forward to Saturday's show.
What a great find! All those turned to dust years ago where I live.
A trip to the GCFCE is always insightful. I am hoping that You can trick Laura into salvaging the One Word Review of the Chevy. Best Wishes to everyone at Cold War Motors.
The only truck you can park in two timezones!!!
Love vintage Power Wagons of any configuration and this one's body is amazingly tight and solid. Great find!
Glad that Dan shows no restraint in acquisitions, contrary to Tractor Gnome’s expectation that it “wouldn’t be another Dodge truck because he’s already got plenty of those.” Same goes for former RCMP cruisers. Good call on pulling the vacuum lines!
He always buys the right vehicle. Great hold over video. See you Saturday. Hope your Birthday bash was successful.
Oh man! That thing will probably get 5 mpg after you get it smoothed out. Hey I got an email today. My calendar is on its way! Gonna make my day! 😂🍻
Wow, looks extremely solid
That's a rare find in good shape. Well done getting it going!
Originally from Seattle, and I remember seeing these bad boys when camping in the Cascades in Washington and Oregon. Tough trucks.

Cool truck and love the light patina. The engine sounds good and healthy. Great video 😊👍

The Cold War wasn't over until the Berlin Wall came down in 87! So CWMs has 7 years to go before stepping over the line!
Those bricklayer limousines are a rare find.🎉
We need to see a full squad chips run after the Cummins swap. What a great find.
For a Government car it looks too good to be true. Usually all these 4x4 trucks look like epic pile of rust turds. This one needs just a lot of cleaning and polishing+ the engine swap. Very happy to see Dan saved this one.
Awesome truck! That’s quite the lineup Dan has…I wouldn’t know what to work on next! Cheers - until Saturday.
I bought a car with one of those Chinese edelbrock type carbs and I ended up using the boosters out of a junk edelbrock to fix the issues I was experiencing with idle and part throttle and that fixed it.
LOVE IT GUYSGOT A 72 D200 SINGEL CAB,SAME COLORE.GRETINGS FROM NORWAY

Hard to believe a vintage Dodge truck would have vacuum leaks. Great find! Cheers! 😎👍🛻🏁🏁
Hurray for Dan😊
The sound of the MOPAR starter brought back great memories.
Love those Dodges! Great video 📹 👍
That's an awesome find. I can't wait to see how this one turns out.
Great find and a great show, you never know what to expect!
Glad you're back!
The late 70's incarnation of these were pretty good back in the day, it looks pretty much the same in the engine bay I think this has more emissions stuff, cab is a lot like what I remember

Incredible find!!! Excellent!!!
Wicked Score !!!!!!
sounds like a decent engine in there ,
Cummins swap would be awesome for sure
Thank you for the video
Keep 'em coming !!!!
Dan’s Crew cab was a find. A carburetor was the fix it needed. And wants to upgrade with a Cummins Diesel. I just would run the 318 until it was shot. But, know that won’t be the case. Thanks for sharing.

Old snowmobiles brings joy to my heart. I wish I could play with them again.
Wow! What a find!
YAY!! New toy! great job Dan! Thanks for sharing Scott! Cheers, Rich
Scott. WOW. love that truck. Everything about it is awesome. I would not change a thing other than extensive tidy.
Saturday is next. Cheers from Wisconsin
Great score by Dan! What a beast that thing is! Cheers!
That is the greatest road trip ride I have ever seen! four doors and cargo(Food) space for days!
Honestly able to say you've been spoiling the GCFCE fans lately! I may have said it before, but is worth repeating- the Jack Nicholson line from Batman "Where does he get those MARVELOUS toys??!!"
That truck looks awesome I wish I have one like that😅
What an absolute gem!!!
Love these guys haha 45 minutes
Also I heard you say that you liked someone else’s idea of cutting the hog rings and washing the seat covers in the washing machine so I tried that on an 80s Malibu set of seats with amazing results. Thank you for mentioning that.!!!
If you clean the carpet with a pressure washer (out of the car) it makes it look almost new.
@@dsloop3907 done that multiple times also done the seats that way but takes a month to dry the foam haha
Another worthy save!
One day there will be a shrine erected in your part of Alberta and people will teleport in from all over the world to see where the Cold War Motors legend was born.
Man, the twins come up with some incredible tin. Cheers!
Have lots of great memories in a truck like that
On the 55 olds you can have a ignition key and door keys cut with the numbers that are found on the door key cyl and the trunk lock or glove box lock
On gm cars the keys were easy to have made up into the early 70s
Another nice find! Thanks as always.
That is definitely a U.S. Forest Service truck. My husband used to work for the Forest Service.
Neat; I never knew Dodge made a crew cab back then.
Dear CWM CEO Scott and GCFCE Dan.

Nice score. Keep the 318 if ya can plenty of get up and go . No rod nock or valve clatter. It sounds sound. Awsome truck. Greg
Who doesn't love a nice old Dodge pickup? The manual trans just makes this even sweeter.
Oh man, ida bought that monster too!!!
What a sweet find. Quite the machine.
Looks clean. Tons of ex BC logging crew cab trucks here too....
I've got 3 things to say, One.... Great crew cab.
Two... What is the GCFCE? Great Car, Fucked Car Emporium
Three..It's Snowing? We are getting Wind and rain in Orkney. Gotta love the Gulf Stream!
Man that thing is an absolute unit.
Great looking truck, nice buy Dan!
Scott, I think the latest barn find video by @thelatebreakshow is right up your alley.
He sure finds some badass rides! I want that Suburban sooo badly..
Bit worried about Dan’s hoodie strings while he was working on the carb. Truck’s a terrific find tho’. Good luck with it.
Very Nice Truck I love the way Dan describe the other providence the way it was running when he first got it Great video Scott
Glad you enjoyed it!
Light 'em up 😀 thank you very much, not a bad buy the repop carb in Canadian convertibele pesos! Awesome find, great to see. Thank you for taking us along Scott.
I think Dan's trying to catch up to you on the lot of lots of cars and such! 😅
Man you guys are so lucky up there to have the land and good scores to collect, and it helps to have a little scratch to buy them also I reckon when they pop up. Great score!
Ready for a crew!
So.....Cummins swap.....great!!!!
Friend had one like this in 84 in high school, manual steering and it was a beast
THE GREAT BIG AQUA MACHINE!! I LOVE IT
0:24 I remember a family Renault 14 from 1978, it had that same diamond headliner. It was nicknamed "the pear on four wheels"...
As you might imagine, this old Mopar guy loves it. Congrats Dan! - Ed
I've been lookingfor an ex Forest Service truck for years! And I live in Oregon for F sake! A friend of mine had an 81 Bronco that was ex forest service that I wanted so bad! Cheers fellas! Todd Konoske the retired trucker.
Nice. I often sit on the inner fenders of my 78
Dan has a great collection of government vehicles.
Man, I wish you could check out my 77 Dodge M886. Basically a Dodge W200 Powerwagon with a coach build ambulance body for the US military. I feel like you would enjoy it haha.
What a wonderful truck ,I only wish I could find something like that down here in Connecticut. Great deal Dan.
That color is pastel green. Very common color with state and federal forestry departments. That color is used by the East Bay Regional Parks district. Where did this truck come from? You should try going to fuel injection.
I enjoyed this episode. Glad you were able to get it started. Still a fan of the Oldsmobile!
Great truck and an excellent addition to Dan’s fleet. To get rid of the vacuum leak he’ll want to get a square bore to spread bore adapter. When I saw the carb go on without it and a big vacuum leak resulting I knew why. As it’s only for yard drives for now it’s fine
