I love how UA-camrs always bring up videos to educate us on Google Ads and Google makes sure to redesign the interface or rearrange and hide features like 500x per year, devaluing videos like this completely.
I have to say that there were some funny side events sometimes, but a lot of times I felt bored and didn't know what to do because there was not much happening that would caught my attention. For movie you made, it is just my own preference that other folks may like it or not.
My opinion is not terrible enough but not great either. I certainly don’t regret watching but I’m not in such a hurry to tell whether I would recommend it to others as well.
is it a good strategy to start with a set of basic negative keywords in a new account? and any insights on negative keywords list best practice for different level (which -ves to add to what level? account, group or ad). Lastly, in my experience adding too many -ves limits the reach of that particular ad group or campaign.. so any rule of thumb around this?

Is it possible to add the broad, phrase, and exact match to a single NEGATIVE keyword? In an ad group?
Not terrible but next to perfect in my option. I am still not sorry that I saw that movie, but I doubt that I would encourge others to watch it too.

Ben, PLEASE include a UA-cam ads series in this channel. It would be so helpful for me and many other people who are just completely over Facebook. And if eventually you release a course specifically for UA-cam ads, I will be first in line to buy it.

Average is maybe, not awful but not excellent. But that is just my guess. I'm not remorseless about watching, though I'm not in hurry to say "I have seen it!" to everybody else.

Hi there and thanks for your content. I'm using google ads for my own electrician business for more than a year now. I got a ton of keywords related with my activity which bring no conversions at all. Just a few of them are generating all my conversions. What to do then with all those kwds with no conversion ? Would you recommend to pause or put them as negative even if they are related ? Many thanks ...
I would start by stopping targeting them and if you find that doesn't help, you can add some of them in as negative keywords - you want to be selective when doing that though.

Where is “negative keyword” option in new design?
Thanks for the video. Why the term "near me" in your keyword is a good thing? If I want to look for something that is near me and end up finding out they are not then I just leave the site and keep on searching. This would be a click paid for no conversion.
You would only want to do that if you are only advertising in a local area. If you are actually near the prospect then it's great.

I would usually go with a group of keywords per ad group - 5 or 6 terms that are closely related

If I am trying to eliminate the the word "cost" because we showed up for cost of hardwood floor refinishing is it better to do the negative keyword cost as a broad match or type hardwood floor refinishing cost as an exact phrase negative keyword?
Good question - you want to add that in as a negative keyword.
You may also want to use phrase match on the main keyword but that does depend on what other terms are coming through that you don't want.
Hi Ben! I am running ads for a hardwood floor cleaning company. However, I am finding a lot of people searching for cleaning services coming up for my ads...which means people looking for house cleaning my ads are coming up and its not supposed to since I am only for wood floors. What is the best approach to stop this?
I’d first start by changing keyword match types to get more specific. Otherwise building up the negative keyword list is the way to go.
