After a while people first noticed the total stopped going up, even though he was getting subscribers. Then with the month almost done, he wasn't even half way to his goal. Then the daily uploads stopped. A few days later he comes out with a video saying he'd stay in his car until he made 3k but put it all in one video, instead of daily, like he was doing. Watching the video a lot of things are suspect. He doesn't seem like he actually stayed in his car, and it was for show. Then he added lyft, because he saw he couldnt do it with DD. A bigger thing was he stopped showing totals, and expects us to believe he made a complete turnaround. This guy was no where close, and burning out, but we're supposed to believe you turned it around and made triple what you were while sleeping in your car? Dafuq out of here, and show us your totals, on your phone. That's literally all were asking for, but he ignores us, and keeps posting anyway. The biggest thing though was his bs contract. For clout he signed a contract saying he'd cut his hair if he failed. Instead of supporting cancer patients he made it a punishment. He still has hair and we still have no proof he actually made the 3k, besides his word, and possibly doctored photos. This isn't the first time he didn't follow through with a punishment. He never did buy the pizza for the homeless. He is just clickbaiting and clout chasing. Not being transparent, and now apparently a fraud, although I saw that coming a while back. Honestly it’s hard to truely know. It depends what tax bracket you fall in BUT the general rule is take home is about 71% of your total earnings after tax, gas and maintenance
I mean as a side gig $30k is good however you have to have a business mindset. However if one was to have a w2 they'd say I make $58k not 30k and change.
Saying that being extra polite when delivering is going to result in more tips is not real advice. It's a feel good answer but does not reflect reality. Being courteous to customers should be your baseline but it's not often going to result in more tips.
in Nashville I made $605.91 in 54 hours and spent $260.10 on Gas! That's a profit of. 345.81 I have a full tank of gas and I'm going out for eight more hours today. The profit sucks. It's only $22 an hour of dash time but half the time you're not dashing so that's about $11 an hour

she didn't make that much in 1 year. it took her 4 years and she had another job the whole time just working doordash on the side. her taxes wouldn't be as much either because she was working a W-2 job which also affects her taxes. she wouldn't have got a tax refund but she also wouldn't have owed 9k in taxes. and she probably did not save anything towards car repairs so she kept more of that 52k than you think.
I made almost $80,000 last year on Doordash. It can be done. Gas expense is a write off, $80 a day x 260 days a year, that’s $20,800 in mileage to write off on your taxes. Plus car repairs etc. You pay no taxes.
You can only deduct actual gas expense and car repairs if you itemize your deductions and don’t take the standard mileage rate. You can’t write off all of that, only one or the other.
The taxes are off if she has children those tax amount you mentioned our way to how you get a significant deductions if you have kids even if you’re married you do as well

It’s possible to make that much. My army buddy made 44,000 on DoorDash. He doesn’t touch that money and use his retirement and va disability on the wear and tear and stuff he need for his car. So it is possible if you have other sources of income.

So I started doordashing full-time because I started watching your videos and it's a very good gig. But I'm honestly thinking about getting an electric car because I'm spending over $800 a month in gas and the Tesla payment is $819. So it's either say goodbye to that gas money and never see it again or put it towards a tangible item that I could use for years. In addition I started the hourly rate yesterday to try it out $10 an hour and I got way more orders in the tips were good but also it really helped when you stood in line for 30 minutes waiting for orders knowing that you get a solid $5 is a good mental game and I average about 15 an hour yesterday before expenses

I live in an area near numerous colleges or universities. I stay as far from schools as possible. Low count orders and no tips.

In my market DoorDash has significantly more orders… but Uber Eats seems to provide significantly higher paying orders.
